He's as guilty as sin, so what degree would rage murder be, first degree?
Is it just me or is he really playing up for the camera's?
He looks like a murder!
I found DOG's comments interesting and I agree with him. Joran also didn't have anyone to help him clean up this time either, so he had no choice but to take off and try to flee on his own. MOODog the Bounty Hunter had some interesting things to say actually. Said that once, JVDS father died that he didn't have anyone to hold him back anymore, that he was a serial killer.

I think he LOVES being infamous.
Have always thought that about him.
I'm curious too if there is a attempted sexual assault resulting in murder, how that would fit in to Peruvian law. And there's still the earlier report of her money being taken. MOOHe's as guilty as sin, so what degree would rage murder be, first degree?
JVM & Nancy Grace said they had the autopsy report.
I believe he stopped after her pants were removed, she was fighting him, and "her condition" to him was disgusting (seeing that he wasn't going to be able to have sex with her) and he killed her. MOO
If he's found guilty 15 to 35 years they're saying on Nancy Grace.
Yes, didn't hear how long JC said it would take if VDS pleads guilty. The trial will take about 2 years, if he doesn't plead guilty.
What I was trying to say is her "condition" (and I'd imagine a lot of resistance from her) prevented him from completing what he'd lured her to his room for. He then flies into a rage and she's dead. MOOIf you think about it & that's what repulsed him all he'd have to do is walk away.
Obviously his repulsion stems from young women breathing air.
I am presently listening to HLN on sirius radio and the reporter in Peru covering the story for CNN HLN just told Mike (Gallanos) that from an exclusive police report she received from the Peruvian authorities states that when Stephanny was found the only piece of clothing that she had on was her shirt - no panties - she was found on her back, knees drawn up to her chest.
The reporter (sorry, did not catch her name but she fills in for the NG show sometimes), states that Peru really needs to investigate further whether Joran sexually assaulted her and noted that that could have happened but Joran did not "complete"/"finish". Therefore no DNA proof.
Gawd, if that is the case how horrendous!!! The way the reporter stated this makes it sound that he possibly sexually did something to her after she was dead, or so near death that she was not moving. OMG this is sick!!!
la_cavalière;5261369 said:This was definitely NOT a robbery gone bad. There is no way he is going to rob a girl who can easily identify him through the hotel or casino. It's not like he hid his identify or changed his name, and he knows how many cameras there are in casinos. Plus he certainly isn't going to plan to rob and kill someone in his own hotel room.
I think she resisted his advances, and his repressed rage, intensified by the anniversary of Natalee's disappearance and his father's death, suddenly bubbled to the surface. And he took it out on an unsuspecting and unprepared Stephany.
I thought it was the police report.
I asked how Jane would know the pants were "ripped off" and Nancy knowing Stephany was thrown to her knees. Stephany has bruised knees, but we don't know she was thrown on her knees.
I am wondering why van Der Sloot did not fly out of Peru to Aruba after this crime?
Or at least to Dutch Guiana. ( Suriname)..?
Perhaps he thought Chile would not extradite to Peru.
His behavior does make him seem to be a sociopath...
because it is simply insane.
