They were reportedly in the courtroom. It is their son.Perhaps the defense team met with them before and after court in a side room, etc. It's likely they took care of their privacy, which I am glad is the case.

I don't know many details but I believe evidence that would have come out that he was after Madison...he went right to her room. Is it possible that he met her out in town and she rejected him? Not sure of the history but I think that is why that house got his interest. The rest I really don't know. It also seems no sexual violation of her occured before the murder.I know basically nothing about this case and I have no idea where to start. Wikipedia is not providing me with potential motives and news articles also say BK had no obvious motive.
Well, BK has provided no motive. As turaj said, the most likely target was Maddie, but why and when we'll probably never know. He didn't presonally know her. Maybe the police have more information but I doubt they'll release it.I know basically nothing about this case and I have no idea where to start. At this point, I'm starting to think it may be best for him to sit out the sentencing hearing as well. I can see things getting very ugly and only getting himself into serious trouble.i think the judge knows SG will up his rhetoric big time until sentencing and judge has a duty to keep law and order and that courthouse has other work to do. He made it pretty clear that calling and emailing etc. is pointless. SG seems to be chasing windmills. I don't recall but does he not have other children. I mean he is just not helping anyone.
Same. This may be where the work of victims’ advocates come in - helping families navigate and understand the logistics and processes, as well as their emotions.Steve will never be right again. I hope he finds some peace. I watched yesterday, parents on their best behavior in the courtroom, sitting there listening to the monster who took their children away, like their lives meant nothing. I am afraid I would be more like Steve, shouting nonsense from the rafters. Not because it made sense, but because of how broken I was.
We all know he's guilty, well, apart from a small sect of contrarian lunatics that almost definitely thought Jodi Arias and Chris Watts are innocent. Him saying 'guilty' in the most nonchalant manner serves no purpose. It won't even convince the people that support him. They'll just say he's forced. As far as appeals go, which is the most often mentioned point in regardes to LWOP, he was never getting those anyway so it doesn't matter. This is really sad to listen to, you can hear how much he is hurting, and I feel for him, but this is also very unfair.
The prosecution did their job, and they did it well. The MPD found the person that murdered his daughter and her 3 beautiful friends, and the prosecution worked really hard to secure his conviction and ensure he can never hurt anyone else's child. They ensured his life will never be his own again. That is a win. What's more, this way, there can be no doubt about his guilt, we heard it from his own mouth, and he has nowhere left to go. No appeals, no SODDI, no more motions to supress, no more poor, awkward, misguided Bryan, just obscurity.
Yes, they were. I was referring to the poster who said that they hadn't seen any photos of them. I think the defense team likely took care of their privacy both before and after the court hearing. They were reportedly in the courtroom. It is their son.
I feel his body stance said a lot. It said, "I have no remorse, and I scorn all of you, and I don't care that I killed them." MOO. The "open" stance, like "bring it on." The standing for the judge, a show of respect for the law, showing that he is loony, because of his total disrespect for rights and laws by his actions. He is SO messed up. MOO. I think he's long been extremely strange, and he knew it himself, as a younger person, he knew he did not have normal feelings, had blunted feelings, and when he did express himself, he got a lot of blowback, evidently, from the other teens. Some of it probably bullying, some of it people sensing he wasn't right and a threat. MOO. But I think he is also very scared inside. The looking at the laptop, the glances at AT, like a scared person trying to do right while under the eyes of the judge. MOO. <modsnip: Image removed due to no link to source>
The shirt fits oddly. I wonder if there is some sort of vest under it given the way the shirt gathers from his neck to his arm pits. The blank look is one that reminds photos of the Sandy Hook shooter (though I will never type his name again) with his ASD, OCD, GA but possibly sociopathy and others with diagnosis of sociopathy----blank face, not with you even when looking at you. We know he has eating issues from early on when there were very OCD behavior reported by family (pots and pans contamination of meat issues). We have also seen these types of faces and body language in the Colorado cases of Gannon Stauch's murderer and Shanann and her children's murderer.I feel his body stance said a lot. Lol. The "hidden detail" the DM's legal expert says "everyone is overlooking" is the fact that BK can't ever appeal.Experts about Plea Deal

Lol. The "hidden detail" the DM's legal expert says "everyone is overlooking" is the fact that BK can't ever appeal.
Clearly, this legal expert isn't spending any time here on WS, because we've been talking about that point as being a key component of the plea deal repeatedly in this thread.
It's what's sold many of us on the fact that this plea deal is a win for the Good Guys.
I don't care one bit what a bunch of people who are incapable of basic reasoning believe. Nothing will convince them, just as nothing has convinced other killer fanboys and girls that their idols are guilty. We all know he's guilty, well, apart from a small sect of contrarian lunatics that almost definitely thought Jodi Arias and Chris Watts are innocent.
