IF I was one of the family members, I think I'd like to send my statement to the judge for him to read prior to the sentencing. I love that the Chapins are going out on a boat instead of attending. Then I would post my statement online for everyone to read, but this monster would not get the satisfaction of hearing me physically make the statement in court. I like the idea another poster wrote to give him a mundane sentencing.
This is what I would do. Write a statement, send it to the judge, and let this monster rot.

Amen. And then go on to live a good life with the loved ones that remain, enjoying the memories of the loved one who once blessed all of your lives.

BK has no power. He is going to be told where to go, what to eat, when to sleep and how to behave for the rest of his life. Later today, I'm going to visit some friends, go for a great walk outdoors, and maybe have some ice cream. Or not. Because I'm free to do what I want, within the law and my own resources. BK is behind bars and barbed wire. Only the most institutionally acclimated want to be in prison.
Not anymore. That was the last power grab of his life. He's going to live with a lot of not nice people for the rest of his life. He will be around men who have daughters they love and will resent him and make his life miserable.

Pullman Police internship - BK's CV and supporting (word salad imo ) letter from March 2022 from Angenette Levy. ( letter is shown in the programme)

Screenshot 2025-07-19 at 14.35.50.webp

BK's cv - helping student peers experiencing MH distress at NCC, 2017.

BK? at King Road 2022 - ' It's OK, I'm going to help you'

Also, Angenette is convinced about the significance of the date of knife purchase link to application for the Pullman internship. Around 30 mins into the programme
Also includes her Law & Crime interview with Chief Jenkins

Trivial, but....reading through his CV, I thought it odd Kohberger would write his BS GPA as 3.315/4.0. Who uses 3 decimal points in a CV? Why not just round up to 3.32? Then it occurred to me - he'd already rounded up (likely from 3.3145), but could not legitimately round it to 3.32 as, properly rounded, it would be 3.31.

He'd lie. One thing I got from the Ward/Patterson book is that I had not thought through what it means that BK was an addict--and one who was an accustomed liar and burglar. Think of how he gaslit his neighbor who wanted a security system because someone was creeping her apartment. He may have kicked his addiction but his escape from reality and pursuit of pleasure just went in another direction.
Maybe, maybe not. I've noticed BK himself never said he was not guilty. Those words did not come out of his mouth. He did say he believed he would be exonerated, but that does not mean the same thing. He thought the case could not be proved, but he was wrong. Being as I never expected Chris Watts to do a followup interview with LE or tell the truth, his interview results look like he told a lot of the truth. If BK is what I believe him to be, he would tell his truth, and that would be enlightening, too. JMO, of course.

'Hair on the back of my neck stood up': Police break silence in Idaho murders

Police are breaking their silence in the University of Idaho murder case hours after Judge Steven Hippler lifted the nondissemination order, revealing information about the status of the investigation and interactions with admitted killer Bryan Kohberger.

Moscow police said they are preparing to release a large amount of information later on.

Gary Jenkins, the former Pullman, Washington, police chief and current Washington State University police chief, also opened up to ABC News, shedding light on his own interaction with Kohberger.......

Interesting CV, but if I was hiring, I would like to see what jobs he has had...

Re BK and his hoovering and cleaning in the small hours...

Is it possible he was cleaning up from other crimes he'd perpetrated in the dark? Entering homes? Hot prowling, stalking, etc? Are there unsolved home invasion crimes that he could have perpetrated?

Interesting to see that Jenkins’ recent interviews states he found out BK identified as the suspect on Dec 20. That date is before the search warrants; it’s possible he messed up the date but an interesting detail to get wrong considering the gravity of the news he was recalling being told that day. JMOO.

True. Also noted that his accomplishments under Honor Societies and Activities are very self-focused. "Remained available and open to students as a peer resource while on campus" rather than "As peer resource, assisted 60-70 undergraduate students in improving understanding of key concepts" (...or "in problem-solving...").

The way he describes it, he could have posted office hours that NO ONE ever utilized as they chose others for help.

Well, he can't perpetrate them now.

A female student complained that he followed her to her car so probably not a good idea to be alone in an office with him. Keep door wide open.

Why is that a weird date? The FBI gave Brett Payne Kohberger's name on Dec 19.

Yes, Patterson's book puts it at Dec 28 when Jenkins was told (ch 84)......but I've found MANY incorrect dates in that book.

Dec 23rd is when Payne filed for Kohberger's AT&T records:

I suspect that Patterson may have gotten info that said Jenkins found out shortly before a warrant was issued....and misinterpreted that as being the arrest warrant. He and Ward then write the rest of that chapter as if the info was related to the arrest warrant.

One way to narrow the timeline would be to see if it has been stated anywhere when Jenkins sent Moscow Kohberger's resume, application, etc

Happy to be more precise and accurate in my question Why is it, to quote you:

"Interesting to see that Jenkins’ recent interviews states he found out BK identified as the suspect on Dec 20. That date is before the search warrants'

Victims' impact statements are for victims.

These statements allow them to express their suffering
and honour the loved ones who lost their lives.

They help the Judges and the public understand the terrible consequences of the crime.

Victims have the right
to describe the emotional harm, despair and trauma they experienced due to the crime.

Victims' voice must be heard.
It is only just and fair.
It is their RIGHT.

JMO
it's just that they enjoy it. that's the problem giving BK moments to savor...you know he hates them all and could care less. mOO

I have always assumed he was identified around the 12/20. They watched him, did their work, got the warrants together, etc. JMOO

From my own time line:

Dec 17, 2022 Home in Pennsylvania.

Dec 19, 2022 Close family member of BK causes a genealogy "hit." It's relative to BK. Got BK's name.

Dec. 19, 2022 Moscow Police Chief James Fry sent Jenkins a message, requesting that he come to the Moscow station the following day. Jenkins assumed it would be another briefing, so he was surprised to be led into a room with about 20 to 30 people, including members of the FBI and Idaho State Police, he said. They informed him that they had identified a suspect using DNA found at the scene. That suspect, his colleagues told him, was a student at WSU named Bryan Kohberger. “It took me a minute, and then I said, ‘You know that name is very familiar. I think I’ve talked to Bryan Kohberger before."

Dec 19, 2023 The FBI gave Brett Payne Kohberger's name.

Dec 19, 2022 BK is officially terminated at his job.

Dec 23, 2022 is when Brett Payne filed for Kohberger's AT&T records.

On December 27, 2022, Pennsylvania Agents recovered the trash from the Kohberger family residence located in Albrightsville ,PA. That evidence was sent to the Idaho State Lab for testing.
