BK now has the answers to his own questionnaire. IF (and I don't know because I am not a mental health specialist, nor do I play one on TV) BK is indeed a sociopathic individual, these murders could all be collateral damage of his "need to know". I keep wondering if he chose the house because of the layout or because he thought it would be conducive to "the perfect crime". And I still wonder if the room off the kitchen (DM's room) was the goal, but the door was closed and locked. Original plan in, closest room, kill, out. Unless he says, we'll never know.

But I keep thinking less to do with incel, more to do with a total disregard for others, except as players to manipulate in his own internal scripting.
No, he didn't choose this house at random. He knew or learned that this was the house where the girls he stalked lived. And it was common knowledge that it was a party house and that they didn't keep their doors locked.

Interesting to me that Dylan had called her friends over prior to November 13 “I’m scared can you bring your boyfriends over” but “it was never anything serious….something like a pan fell”. As told by Emily’s roommate in episode 1. This really stood out to me!!!!! I’m sure there are texts/ calls that can pinpoint these past events on Dylan’s phone, I wonder if they line up with the times that BK’s phone pinged in the area.
Somewhere here, we were able to read DM and BF’s text messages that night and into the morning.

SG also states in this interview he & his family are discussing not giving a victim impact statement. It’s an interesting video.
I was surprised to read the Goncalves family were against the Prime documentary. It focused on the victims, and they have been very active in the press and social media. Ethan’s mom said they would not attend any hearings or the trial (episode 4). I wonder if they will do a victim impact statement?

I believe the OP is suggesting that BK's phone possibly could be pinpointed to the King address on other occasions, to show he was stalking them, based on Dylan's phone records (when Emily said Dylan had heard noises in the house on OTHER occasions, in retrospect could have been BK intruding prior to the murders.

Living through trauma, having PTSD impacts victims for life.
I know, I have cptsd myself.
I hope that trauma therapy can help these victims somewhat, I hope they can find good trauma therapy and can pay for it.
At least, more is known now than 10-20 years ago.

MOO

Living through trauma, having PTSD impacts victims for life. I hope all the friends/family find a path to proceed in this life. It's tough to see life and goals in the same way (optimistically)--the event basically destroys everything you thought you knew about the world, especially if it happens when the victim is young. The Prime documentary gutted me....those kids were so full of light and love, truly would have continued to contribute good to those around them. Now the survivors are shellshocked, shadows of their former selves. They are brave to participate in any media, but think the love for their murdered friends and children is what propels them.
I agree, it gutted me too. Two small things I loved was hearing the Taco Bell story about Ethan and how he had to have all his “packets” opened and ready before eating and the videos of Xana trying to do a backflip. It’s made this tragedy hurt my heart even more.

Gotcha. It also shows they were not sleeping soundly that night.

Do you have a link where it is documented he didn't choose it at random or that he actually stalked them? All I have ever seen are opinions and conjectures since BK hasn't said anything. And I am constantly wondering why LE keeps saying "There was no connection with the girls" if there is proof of a connection. I haven't seen any proof of it, but would appreciate a link if it exists.

BTW, I didn't say he chose the house at random. Just wondered if A) the people he killed might not have been the original intended target or B)The only intention was to kill, didn't matter who it was and the house was perfect for what he wanted. Since he hasn't said, I can't say I "know".

This is true. But, it was early on. Just a few months ago they changed their minds. They said they felt they needed to go. Because, if they didn't go who was going to support Ethan. They couldn't let anyone else represent Ethan.

"Though Kohberger’s motive and connection to his victims are still unknown, Thompson said Kohberger’s cell phone pinged at a tower near the residence approximately 23 times from July 9 to November 7, 2022 between 10 p.m. to 4 a.m."

"People magazine reported that Kohberger followed his female victims on Instagram, but they did not reciprocate. People also reported that an investigator said Kohberger “allegedly messaged one of the three female victims repeatedly two weeks before the slayings.”
"
Not sure if they ever interacted — but his cellphone pings followed their every move for weeks,” the source reportedly said of Kohberger’s alleged stalking."

"But prosecutor Bill Thompson perhaps dropped the biggest clue so far that could point to Kohberger's motive, during the plea hearing on Wednesday.

Thompson said: 'We will not represent that he intended to commit all of the murders that he did that night, but we know that that is what resulted.'

If the prosecution believes that Kohberger didn't intend to commit all four murders, it begs the question: which of the slayings were targeted?

Sources close to the investigation previously told Dateline that Mogen was believed to be Kohberger's target - based in part on the path the killer allegedly took after entering the three-story student home.

BK hasn't admitted anything other than guilt for the murders, therefore not details as to why or how from him. LE has evidence of his actions and whereabouts while in WA.

"Also last year, Goncalves' parents claimed to have found a social media account that bared Kohberger's name and linked him to Mogen.

'You would go to Maddie's Instagram account and look at her pictures, and he liked them,' Kristi Goncalves told 48 Hours in January 2024."

Sources say that Maddie's bedroom on the 3rd floor is not easy to get to, and where BK went first. He didn't expect Kaylee to be in the bedroom with her, nor for Xana to be awake downstairs when he fled. Xana was likely outside her room investigating the noises, then he saw her and followed her into her room, and also killed Ethan.

I remember watching that interview. It was Kristie who really spoke up about all the BK "likes" one after another on MM's social media. It really upset them.

That isn't proof, though. It's source's said, Goncalves parents claimed, but nothing in an actual LE document that say it is so. Without proof it is still just someone said something. I'm looking for an actual court or LE statement that says this is so.

Maybe once the gag order is lifted you'll have the "proof" you're looking for. To me if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck. We have critical thinking skills and enough evidence to connect a lot of dots. And the mother of one of the murder victims is going to be dogged about getting to the facts, probably more so than LE. And frankly, more reliable. Don't we all know that from seeing it time and time again?

This is my prayer for them. That they can go from victim to survivor. A good therapist can help them process this and they can come out the other side even stronger.

Yes, the victims parents have no reason to lie about BK having contacted their daughters on social media. I have no idea why LE chose not to disclose this information prior to trial or why it's been constantly misreported in the media. I believe the parents. This was NO Random murder. BK used U of Idaho as his hunting grounds and stalked his victims.
