So, by December, they had so many strands of evidence on him (footage from the Linda Drive house; other footage of the White Elantra going by several times; someone had tipped them that Kohberger had been gifted a Ka-Bar knife by a prof at U of Oklahoma (where he took just one undergrad class in criminology)

What kind of Professor gifts a student a knife??

Question—-if no solitary confinement, does that mean this serpent could get his butt kicked more easily in prison??!!

You mean the “Big D’s”?😂

I think solitary would be harder for him. No one could visit him, and 23 hours alone with no conversation. He won’t be able to appear tough with the other inmates. Like ‘I raped each of them’.

The only 2 statements provided by non-immediate family members were provided by the two roommates—who are victims of the burglary.
No attorneys spoke today?
Could’ve sworn that two of them did.

He thought imo, he was such a badass and would be able to pull off the perfect crime. One of those dark minds who idealizes serial killers.

Then per Dateline he went home and eventually listened to a Britney Spears song, slowed down, called "criminal"

Yeah dude, real badass.

Those comments today about how he was a loser and not some brilliant killer i bet got to him the most.

Surely not for murder, so was it the burglary? I'm still confused and missed that info somehow today :/
There might have been a fine for the burglary, I can't remember. But certainly for each murder charge - $50,000 either including or plus $5000 for each murder victim's family. I can't remember, but you can find it if you look. Like watch that part of the sentencing with subtitles - you'll see it.

Considering it might be quite difficult for BK or anybody else sentenced to prison for life x4 without parole to earn any money, it's maybe best these fines are low? It maybe gives him or other prisoners some chance to pay up, meaning some chance for the victims' families to see their money and some chance for the state? (I don't mean letting BK off the hook btw). I doubt BK has any assets left to pay up, but who knows. Too bad he doesn't seem to need to pay anything for the two roommates, I'm sure they could do with it, the amount of trauma they're carrying, as was evident to me thru what DM said and what BF wrote and was read out.

MOO

I' think I'll feel more of that, when I learn more about what they knew beforehand (and immediately after the murder) and how much they assisted (or resisted) the FBI and LE. moo

BK has put his family through so much. His parents were cuffed with zip ties the night of his arrest, with a "no-knock" search warrant.

His sisters lost their jobs due to their brother's behavior.

BK has put his family through so much. They didn't do anything and their lives were turned upside down.

Shannon Gray, the Goncalves’ family attorney, read statements from Kaylee’s grandmothers.

I disagree, it wasn't random. He was looking at the social media posts of these girls and chose them. He targeted them.

Just FYI, in the presser afterward, LE said they could find no links whatsoever between him and his victims.

I just relistened to Alivea's victim impact statement. It's so much more than just her scathing words. It was also her delivery which made her words all the more powerful. What a way that woman has. It makes me wish I had had a chance to know Kaylee in real life. I can only imagine she's a dynamo just like her big sister.

And the applause she got at the end. I'm thinking that doesn't happen very often in court. I'm surprised she didn't get a standing ovation, although that would have been pushing it in court.

I had something else I needed to do at the same time court started but SO glad I decided to skip it and attend today's court session. Just wow.

It is. I feel a lot of empathy for his family.
I certainly feel some empathy. If BK's mother and sister (or other family mbrs) hadn't turned up, undoubtedly some people would have criticised that. MOO

In the end, the mother and sister did what they felt was right for them. Did they want to see him one last time? Did they want to hear victim impact statements to really hear what son/brother had committed? To know the worst? And maybe even to feel some empathy for the victims (like the roommates!) and the victims' families? It's possible. I also don't think it's something we can actually know one way or the other. I also don't think we have a right to know. BK committed this crime, his mother and sister did not. They are victims too in a way, as is his other sister and father. Way back at the beginning his parents said (via a lawyer I think) they would support him, but that doesn't necessarily mean assuming he's innocent or continuing to think so now. A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then. Showing up for him during sentencing could just mean "We're here even tho what you did was utterly despicable. We're appalled beyond words, but we haven't disowned you, not completely."

All just MOO

Working my way through the first batch of the document dump. I wonder why so much rage was especially directed at Kaylee. Page 23 of the general narrative says she was unrecognizable because her "facial structure was extremely damaged".

The two LE answering questions at the PC were the two lead detectives in the case.

Has anyone been able to open the files that were just posted today to the moscow police department site? I can’t get them to open.

3. Narrative

On 11/13/2022 at about 1200 hours, I responded to 1122 King Road in reference to

possible homicide victims. Ofc. Nunes had arrived on scene and found a total of

4 deceased individuals. Ofc. Nunes informed other units he believed this to be a

homicide.

When I arrived I entered the residence and went to the second floor. I observed

a female wearing a sweatshirt and underwear laying in middle of the bedroom

floor covered in blood. I observed deep lacerations, indicative of defensive

wounds, on the female's hands. The female was surrounded by blood on the floor.

I observed a male laying on the bed. The male appeared to have suffered from

stab wounds and a laceration to the neck. The male was covered in blood and the

bedding around him was soaked in blood.

In a third floor bedroom, I observed two females laying in bed which appeared to

have been stabbed to death. The female laying on the left half of the bed, as I

looked at it from the doorway, was unrecognizable. Her face was completely

disfigured and was stabbed several times. I was unable to comprehend exactly

what I was looking at while trying to discern the nature of the injuries. The

second female, on the right half of the bed, had multiple stab wounds. The

comforter was soaked in blood and a pool of blood was still present.

I was assigned to hold security at the rear slider door. This was the alleged

point of entry of the suspect. I observed very large footprints in the snow. I

used a tape measure and the shoe size measured approximately 13.5 to 14 inches.hand

The foot steps went to and from the rear slider door. I observed the trail of

foot steps head away from the slider then turn right, around a stump, in the

back yard and lead toward the front of the house. I observed a set of small prints on the window to the east of the slider. The screen to this window

appeared damaged and was laying on the ground. I located smudged finger prints

on the glass slider door. There was a discarded black backpack in the backyard.

I photographed these items and attached them to the case

I maintained rear security until I was relieved by Ofc. Warner. The only person

to enter from this point was Captain Lanier at about 1527 hours.
OMG

He heard every word Alivea said, you could see every hit land in his jaw!

He was also flushed when she was speaking. Probably his rage and hatred because her words were something he didn’t want to hear.

I wonder if it was because she showed up unexpectedly that weekend...if he truly didn't see social media posts, he may have not expected her, and that ruined his "time" with MM

he HAD to have seen their socials, but LE says no? clearly he isn't smart enough to have had a burner or VPN to outsmart LE.
