And she had the courage to leave her room to seek safety with BF. Murphy was still barking so the intruder could have been in the house still, in fact he could have been right outside her door again.

And what were they to think? It was quite again, and they fell asleep. I won't take that from them. They'd wake soon enough, to a horror they can never escape.

That huddle, while broken, was a model of courage.

It was so fast. It was a party house in Greek Pranks R Us territory.
Calling police would end her good relationship with roommates if it was a prank or some frat weirdo that somebody who used to live there knew. All blame for the situation belongs to the kilker.

Picture #70 and #71 in the interior shots gallery taken in the second floor bathroom.
It's an attention grabbing ridiculous headline!

Bryan Kohberger's Murderous Crime Scene, See The Photos

Yup, that's more likely what they are referring to.

It's two spots of blood on a piece of toilet tissue on the very top of Xana's bathroom trash. There is a lot of other trash in that can, so hard to know the source.

One theme which crops up in the the WSU interviews is ' calculated ' and incidences where BK says stuff which he knows can get him into trouble ( discriminatory? they didn't specify) so he skirts the risk and covers that with caveats and qualification.
He was like that with his traffic stops too....he'd passive/aggressively criticise the officers, but politely and feigned sincerity, making excuses for his infractions. ['They don't have crosswalks where I'm from']. Caveats and Qualifications is a perfect description.
( I'll find the supp numbers if anybody needs them)

why mention it?
Because the ex CO Anthony Gangi who runs ' Tier Talk' says that he thinks that BK has read all the small print on sexual harassment and PREA law in prisons ( TT is on Ytube) and knows how to work the system - the rules. Gangi covered all the reasons - legit and otherwise - how inmates work their rights and talks about manipulation eg how to get moved from a unit you don't like.

OOOOH, I can easily believe that he is trying to set himself up for a prime, elite placement somewhere. Bet he'd love to be in one of those federal 'resort' type institutions. Too bad, so sad.
Second, WSU witnesses, Cellebrites and even Howard Blum said BK had a list of notes wrt to how he planned to fight any WSU sexual harassment allegations. Plus, recall when he was first arrested and we saw state's list of items?

Also, @Ghostwheel raised the risk of civil suits yesterday
I think he is trying to engineer something for himself. Figures if he files enough complaints then someone will eventually give in, and get him 'Whole Foods' deliveries, and private accommodations away from his tormentors.

I doubt it will work out that way though. He might just be spinning his wheels.

I do wonder what his appeals process is for this. AFAIK, the prison has its own internal prisoner review process, which stops at the Chief Admin/Warden. "I want two fruit cups, due to nutritional needs, they only gave me one." Is a few missing fruit cups or lack of extra bread roll enough to make management talk to the prisoners who are in charge of putting stuff on plates? If there are still "mistakes" then what's his appeal process?

How would he even manage to file a lawsuit against the prison/its admins? I mean, sometimes you see the defense attorney from the criminal trial attempt to redress truly egregious prison conditions, but that's actually rare. In this case, he had a public defender, and I really don't think they're going to go against their own public system to get him his fruit cup.

But let's say that a hungry civil attorney, wanting notoriety, decides to file a lawsuit against the prison and names the State of Idaho as a defendant. To get said civil attorney, BK needs permission from...the Chief/Warden (who approves all visitors and phone call participants who are not immediate family). Let's say the Warden says "Nope," you lost your right to make outside business arrangements when you became a convicted felon.

I can't even imagine a system in which prisoners were all allowed to have civil attorneys stop by and then file suits on their behalf. I have no clue if this happens at all, but I know it's not common.

Warden will likely tell kitchen admin (who doesn't themselves perform the tray filling) to give BK his extra (vegan) fruit cup, as he is entitled to stay on his vegan food plan.

(I imagine he's getting things like a can of drained black beans dumped on top of the standard prison "salad"...plus a fruit cup).

He's entitled to a certain number of calories spread across the traditional categories (protein, carbs, fats). I doubt his micronutrient balance and vitamins are going to be studied by some in-prison health crew. If he wanted freedom to eat as he wishes, he ought not to have done something to land in prison?

IMO.
I think he is going to have to use his money from family and female fans, and just buy himself oranges , almonds, avacados, tortilla chips or orange juice or whatever it is he feels is lacking from the commissary. .

The more he complains about the trays missing food, and inmates taunting him, the worse it will be, imo. He is going to need to grow up, learn to withstand the bullies and they will soon lose interest, imo.

Murderers in prisons have female fans.
Some even get married while in prison.
Some women come from abroad to visit them.

Didn't Ted B get married?
He even became daddy while incarcerated.

I think it is some kind of MH disorder on part of these women,
but I forgot the exact name hehe

Menendez as well.
Oh, and he later divorced her
Oops,
both brothers got married while in prison.

Wasn't it reported that BK got money
from his "fans"?

Oops!
Valentine cards too!

Oh,
I found the name of this phenomenon

"Manifestations of hybristophilia
include the romanticization of criminals, especially serial killers."

We even have a saying in my country:

"Every monster will find its admirer"
(Although in Polish it rhymes)

Robert Stroud. Holy smokes, I just read in Rolling Stone that Bianchi married someone who tried to get Bundy and then moved on to Bianchi. (???) Also just checked, Idaho doesn't have conjugal visits (I'm sure this is already in the thread somewhere.) I can't picture the callused, ruthless murderer currently trying to pass himself off as Oliver Twist doing it for any reason other than additional fruit cups, eggless brownies, and black beans. And maybe to score some fresh fruit. (And I'm serious.)

You know, the more I'm seeing of him, the more I feel somewhat bad for Ann Taylor (which is really difficult after the stargazing). Can you imagine Fruit Cup Brownie Boy's attitude towards his own defense? If he's this aggressive on his... fruit cups?(???) She might have feared he'd sue her, too.

SO crazy and SO horrible.

Bodycam video!

Do you know at what part of the video Murphy is being brought out? I've watched a couple times and don't see him.

Does anyone know how the Plea Deal, Kohberger pleading GUILTY to all four (4) Counts of First Degree Murder, came about ? Did the Prosecutor’s Office first float the deal to Kohberger ? Or did Kohberger approach the Prosecutor’s Office , asking to have the Death Penalty removed ? Do we have the Link, Quote, News Article , or Narrative posted here on Websleuths ? I have exhaustively searched , but I cannot find it. I do not know how that Deal came about , thank you very much !
It was reported that the Defense went to the Prosecution and asked to take a Plea deal. Bill Thomas said that in an interview, IIRC.

Yah Hunter was in the police car - though I don't think it was to stay warm, you hear him say something along the lines of "I'm the only one who knows" so I believe he was alone in the car as opposed to being with the others as he didn't want them to ask him questions or read his face and find out through him 😞

Poor lad
Also, the arriving officers have no idea who is who. Hunter was a male that supposedly found the bodies. Maybe he was involved in the crimes? The officer does not know that he wasn't.

I've just finished watching the video.
It was horrific :(
These poor kids huddled like birds sitting on the asphalt, sobbing and in shock.
Murphy walking slowly away.
The detective in civilian clothes (always on the phone) looked totally shattered.
Grey sky added to the grimness of the atmosphere and eerie feeling.
Terrible, terrible sights 😢

AT realized this case was a dog. I am sure if it went to trial, BK would be on death row. Right where he is now, with years of appeals in front of him.

Just finished watching the bodycam. That officer who's wearing the bodycam, he needs a raise - promotion.
IMO Officer Nunes responded impeccably. He was only 22 at the time, with just two years service but acted very professionally. I believe he himself was a former U of Idaho student, so it must have been terrible for him. But he was unflappable, the kind of guy you would look to in a crisis.

I think as a true crime community, our focus tends to be on the very worst of mankind (e.g.BK). Or we wonder too often "Why LE aren't doing more" etc.
It may be nice to take a breath, and celebrate the great things our young people working in LE like PO Mitch Nunes can achieve. Here are a couple of news articles which caught my eye.

.

Can any hard-core sleuthers help me decipher the events leading up to the palm prints on the window, correct me if i'm wrong but appears to be two smallish female prints. If these were Xana's prints from a struggle, there doesn't seem to be a lot of blood in the area?
