GUILTY PLEA DEAL ACCEPTED - 4 Univ of Idaho Students Murdered, Bryan Kohberger Arrested, Moscow, Nov 2022 #114

Bolded and italicized by me.

As per your snippet, @girlhasnoname, I don’t read where the findings of the Dateline investigation will not be shared with the prosecutor, defense, or Judge Hippler, but rather the ongoing investigation details will not be shared.

Am I misunderstanding?

I think its ambiguous tbh because if the investigation leads nowhere it's all put to bed as it says in the next paragraph here :

' Unless charges are eventually filed and someone prosecuted for suspected violations of the gag order, the public is not entitled to information about such sealed legal proceedings, Idaho courts spokesperson Nate Poppino told the Statesman.'

I'd have preferred that Hippler had some oversight into the course of the investigation rather than just the end result

The magistrate was selected in a closed hearing when the Defense called for an investigation in mid June. That's all in a separate article which can be accessed at the same link

I have a question, If Papa Rogers account had no connection to BK, is the account avatar a dead ringer for him? It seems unbelievable that it's the avatar that just looks like him. Maybe someone working at the police dept knew the basic physical description from DM's statement.

IMO it would be SO degrading and disrespectful to allow even a fraction of the death scene to be made public.

I don’t see this as our right to know. I recall this when allegedly there were pictures of a dead Abby and a dead Libby floating around.

I would not at all want to see pictures of these kids dead and mutilated. Whatever dignity should be left to them is what I hope happens.

IMO it is just prurient curiosity to want to see them at their end.

The killer was caught and is locked up. For me that’s enough.

"Driving around and not stopping". I can't get AT out of ny head.

He wasn't even looking for a house, any house. That house was his destination from the moment he entered the neighborhood for the first time (and indeed from August forward IMO).

Devastating to think four young people had only minutes left to live.

Devastating to hear Murphy barking.

The time lapse was chilling. Just knowing what evil he perpetrated.

It is a far bridge from "I don't feel anything" to "since i don't feel anything I'm going to kill people to see how it feels" but it looks like the felon traversed that bridge at mach speed. Four beautiful, feeling lives sacrificed in order for him to exact his wicked experiment -- unfettered power, control, dominance and curiosity. So entirely senseless.

He's a liar too. He DOES feel. He's just an awful human being whose feelings are counter-decency. Counter-humanity. IMO you could see it in his micro-expressions during the victim impact statements. Here he is, a stone cold murderer, and he has the GALL to be irritated, annoyed, smug, superior, angry, offended. From duper's delight to a fixed jaw to feral salivating. No shame. No remorse. Not moved. Proud. Spoke 'guilty' to four murders like he was in a spelling bee.

I don't think he feels bad about the sheath either -- his own incompetence which caught him. Undoubtedly he blames the victims for that. Amazing how people like the felon forgive themselves easily -- not their fault EVER.

Tragically he doesn't value what the rest of us do -- freedom, family, friends, careers, purpose, intimacy -- has no issue stealing it from other peopke without so much as a shrug, and no deterrent. I don't think he much enjoyed life -- education, exercise, TAing, etc. IMO he tolerated all that while getting off on manipulating people. He had the uncanny ability to see everyone as beneath him. Exceot those who were above him whom IMO he deemed himself a peer. Chummy with professors, traffic police, arresting officers. Total inflated ego.

Life in segregation probably suits him. He's his favorite person.

What matters is that he's behind bar, for the protection of the public.

It's terrifying to watching his Elantra looping. Unnerving to know this wasn't even his first time. 20+ times. During the dark of night when he has no business being there.

It is why we are instinctively afraid of the dark.

You look out your window and see nothing.

But a figure, protected by shadows, can see you, plain as day.

They walk among us.

And that's the scariest thing of all.

DD left the food at the front door. I don't think anyone would have seen/heard her take a picture outside the front door. JMO

Except... at some point XK must have opened the door. We know she had a flashlight -- so some combination of the door and that flashlight might account for what BF saw/heard. Far as we know the felon never went to that level, only XK. Makes sense to me that BF would have heard her, just wouldn't know what the sights and sounds corresponded to, and that the crimes followed close on the heels of that suggests to me she lumped it all together.

Imagine if XK had survived the felon. So much she could have testified to. Timing. Sounds. What if anything she heard of the felon, Murphy, KG and DM...

I believe it when they say Pappa Rodger wasn't BK because the declaration is made with such certainty. I get the feeling that various angles were explored (and maybe they even know who Pappa Rodger actually was), but I wish the WHY of how they know it was NOT BK would be released so I could believe-believe it. The resemblance of that avatar is just too uncanny.

I agree. Hard to let the possibility go.

We know he used VPNs. Maybe he scheduled his posts, accounting for some after arrest.

IMO LE must know who it is to be so certain.

Crazy if he took a Polaroid at the scene.

Curious as to what the murderer might have been taking a picture of if BF saw the flash from under her door?

That was basement level with an empty room, electrical closet, bathroom and BF's room. BF evidently had her door shut, I wonder if she normally locked it? I know I did, especially on the weekends when there was a lot of partying going on.

Did the Door Dash person take a picture of the delivery on the front door step? My cell has a flash setting on the camera I think.

Very good possibility IMO

It could have been the Door Dasher snapping a photo, Xana with her phone flashlight, a slamming door, Xana could have dropped something while retrieving the bag. We will never know. It just can’t be anything that would leave a residue, like a firework, because that would have been found.

Good point but was the firecracker sound at the exact same time? And correct me if I get this wrong (too much going on to be paying as close attention as I'd like) but wasn't the flash seen under her bedroom door thru the gap? And the front door was solid wood, not glass so I can't see a flash from it getting down the hall to her.

I read on one of the recent documents that there were footprints to and from the slider down to the front door and back. There was also a trail to and from the slider around the back of the house. Those prints were larger than the ones down to the front door.

When I read that i didn't know exactly where the DD was delivered.

If I'm recalling this correctly then is makes sense the criminal entered around the back ( south side) of the house.

If that is true then Xana just missed the criminal by minutes if not less. She picks up her food around 4 am, probably a minute to get it and return to her room. She probably shut the door and when she went to put her JITB bag in the kitchen and saw the door open and said "someone is here". I think the criminal arrived around 4:07?

I couldn't watch the entire video of the Elantra circling right before he entered. Did it show where he parked ? I did see part where he turned into a drive across from 1122 King then came back the same way and turn right.

My question is did he pass by 1122 King when he parked to go in?

I'll try to watch again to see if there is any indication that he parked beside Maddie's side of the house.

Thanks to who posted a video that doesn't have ads every minute.

Smaller footprints. Maybe XK did get her DD from the front door, by way of the slider and down and around. In order not to wake BF.

I just noticed there was no snow. DUH! But that doesn't mean it didn't happen. But the camera would have filmed Xana. So now I've confused myself. Why wouldn't that have been me reported in the time line?

Footage of the DDD arriving, walking around in search of 1122 King, then departing just before 4:01. The felon was in and out of the neighborhood beginning around 3:30. Circling back on his final spproach around 4:06. Iirc another camera picked him up at 4:08...

And he sped away just before 4:21. Fifteen minutes. To park. To approach. To enter. To slaughter four victims. To exit. To mitigate. To drive away.

A swath of incalculable destruction.

All because he wanted to.

May the four victims be remembered for being all the things naturally that the felon could never be.

I don't think there was any camera aimed at their front door. Or at the house directly.

Whoa. 5:30 mark.

Another masked intruder. Pullman, WA, I believe the year prior. Home with four victims. Victim was awake and kicked the intruder in the stomach and he fled.

Still unsolved.

At the moment, a motive for the attack has not been detailed and a gag order prevents many involved in the case from speaking publicly, NBC News reported. However, the unsealed documents provided some insight into their initial arguments.

Kohberger's attorneys argued in a motion obtained by E! News to strike the death penalty that Kohberger—who initially faced death penalty if found guilty on all counts—has autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and that executing him would violate the Eighth Amendment's prohibition on "cruel and unusual punishment."

His defense argued that Kohbereger "displays extremely rigid thinking, perseverates on specific topics, processes information on a piecemeal basis, struggles to plan ahead, and demonstrates little insight into his own behaviors and emotions."

"Due to his ASD, Mr. Kohberger simply cannot comport himself in a manner that aligns with societal expectations of normalcy," the motion said. "This creates an unconscionable risk that he will be executed because of his disability rather than his culpability."
