Porepunkah shooting: Two officers dead and another wounded after shooting at High Country property, Victoria, Australia #2

One thing Desi is good at is running like a coward, takes off when they pull him over from speeding ( than tries to play the victim ) , runs when the cops try to arrest him in the park, than runs when he allegedly killed 2 cops.

Poor Desi doesn't seem to think that there are any consequences for HIS actions................always the victim.

Shame he doesn't seem to care to much about his family, it's all about Desi.

All the while happily collecting a cheque from the government for decades that he so hates.

I never used to think the same way about this Dezi business as you, but now that I'm a bit more enlightened I completely agree with your sentiments.
It's funny how wrong I was in forming an opinion without knowing the facts.
So, I don't feel sorry for Dezi anymore.
He deserves what's coming to him and whatever it is it's not going to be good.

He could park his slippers near my bed. LOL Even tho he has probably never worn slippers in his life.
I guess the people making thirst trap tiktoks of him will now have more material

Edit: Also, this guy? 😭

Did you see any photos of him wearing bathers.
After all, that is what this case seems to be all about.
I'd say the quote below from this article must ring true then:

'Dezi believes in living like ancient tribes, living off the land and being nude,' a friend told Daily Mail.

'Yes, it is wildly inappropriate to do that and most people would realise that but Dezi did not like to conform to societal expectations.'

Doesn't that prove that the pension works? As it enables him to have enough financial breathing space to pursue these rather cheap hobbies.
I think culturally in Australia we have a bit of a history of assuming all non old, non wheelchair-bound people on pensions must be dole bludgers. Who knows what is the case here.

What I can't understand is that if the airport camera/telecommunications setup is used to contact people in the bush then why isn't someone there all day (and night)?
So I think it must be a camera and someone goes there each day to check the images.
But I also I don't think it takes two and sometimes 3 cars with police to check images.
There would be no localised images to see and I don't think it is a microwave or heat sensing device for peering into the bush.
If the police wont say, I would love a reporter to find out what it is.
(Are you there Jonica? :))
I would have assumed it was remotely accessible, so I don't know why they need to go there every day. And yes, pretty please Jonica!

I think malingerer is a good word to describe Desi ( along with many others ) .

Malingering is the fabrication, feigning, or exaggeration of physical or psychological symptoms designed to achieve a desired outcome, such as personal gain, relief from duty or work, avoiding arrest, receiving medication, or mitigating prison sentencing

Of course not. His cheap hobbies included fitting out a bus into living quarters, and driving over the speed limit, and representing himself in court (and being allowed to do so), and maybe making a firearm. He does not appear to be physically or mentally incapable.

I really don't care who decides to live off the land and away from society. A lifestyle immersed in nature is not a bad thing. Just don't expect society to give you a fortnightly stipend (pension) to do so.

imo

Conman allegedly posing as police officer is collecting donations on behalf of officers killed in Porepunkah, police say

A conman is allegedly targeting locals in north-east Victoria by pretending to collect donations for the families of slain police officers Neal Thompson and Vadm De Waart-Hottart.

Police are investigating reports of a man falsely claiming to be raising money on behalf of the Thompson and De Waart-Hottart families after the officers were allegedly gunned down by accused cop killer Dezi Freeman on August 26.

It is alleged the man is posing as a Victoria Police officer and is attempting to obtain donation packages from locals and businesses ranging from $500 to $2500.”

If he has the disability, and the government is satisfied that he has the disability then why can't he live away from society? I didn't realise there was also a moral clause in getting the disability support pension too.

See the bizarre new photos of cop killer Dezi Freeman living wild in the bush - as the massive hunt for Australia's most wanted gunman enters its fourth week

Never-before-seen photographs obtained by the Daily Mail reveal the secret life of fugitive cop killer Dezi Freeman as he honed his survival skills in the wild that have kept him one step ahead of the massive police hunt to find him.

The images, taken over decades, show the 56-year-old father-of-three as a bush wildman, often naked or wearing just a loincloth in the rugged outdoors.

Friends say Freeman never packed his car for camping trips but would instead simply disappear into the wilderness to rely only on his wits and bush wisdom, often staying off the grid for weeks on end.

'Dezi doesn't go to Anaconda and stock up,' a friend told Daily Mail. 'There are no tents or eskies full of food or any creature comforts at all.

'He just walks into the bush and that's it.'

Those same skills are now fuelling one of the largest searches in Australian history after Freeman gunned down two police officers in cold blood before vanishing.

Not a single trace of him has been found since, as the manhunt for him entered its fourth week on Tuesday.”

How old would he have been in these photos? I don't think we had social media back then. It's all very posed / Zoolander-esque

There's always one. Talking about people posing as others, if Freeman just put on a hat and sunnies he could walk around in my city and I wouldn't even notice him!

The only proviso for getting the pension is that you have to live by society rules - ie no speeding (without expecting to pay a fine), no sexual assault (without expecting to go to jail) and that sort of thing.
If you don't want to get the pension, you don't have to, but everyone in any country has to live by the rules.
For Dezi who opposes rules then I really don't think there is a place anywhere in the world where he could live. IMO

It'll stop if you go to jail.

Mali is an interesting one. Is she protecting her husband just because she loves him or also because she too believes in the sov cit ideology like him?
She's been with him how long - over 20 years? Thoroughly brainwashed.

Then instead of giving him a pension, the government would be spending at least $200,000 a year on Dezi to keep him locked up and he'd still be shouting his nutcase theories to anyone who will listen. Jail wouldn't stop him defying rules IMO
Earth is not a place for rule breakers. Maybe send him and his ilk to another planet and they can live in their own lawless society.

Wasn't there an article about Mali wanting to divorce Dezi or being concerned about his mental health recently? Which I thought was ridiculous and clearly Mali trying to do a bit of pr for herself. Because like you said she's been with him for a long time and it was only recently she was concerned about his mental health? That guy has been mentally unhealthy for ages.
