The “no fly” zone area restriction ends at 11.30pm tonight. Have yet to see if the Police will extend it again.

Aug 29, 2025

“The ban on aircraft and drones stretches for a 7.5-kilometre radius around the search operation’s headquarters. It was originally scheduled to end at 11.30pm tonight, but has been extended to11.30pm Sunday.”

The cows in the paddock next to Porepunkah airport in a huddle, I guess keeps them a bit warmer.

If it was me and even if I didn't hold those views, and had been questioned. the sensible thing to do would be to get a lawyer. Even without the questioning I think I would have thought about getting a lawyer.

Hiring a lawyer isn't always because you've done something wrong.
There was something wrong right from the get go, when he is claiming Centrelink disability, she, the wife of a disabled person, probably pulling in a 'carers' pension, was also working at the local supermarket, which was probably news to Wangaratta Centrelink folks who would have contacted her by email, on Saturday, with a please explain..

So apart from all the other hoo haa , like the civic crime of having no birth certificate for her children ( she is equally at fault here ) and harboring a criminal amount of lethal weaponry, along with her partner, and registering this weaponry under HER name because his gun licence is kaput, AND SO ON, never mind the civic disobedience re covid and all that endless argument as well.

I think I can fairly say, with some conviction that in this particular case, Madam Freeman's somewhat belated yet urgent consultation with the local solicitor was (a) overdue and (b) finally, sensible and (c) necessary due to a please explain from Centrelink. She has done something wrong, she is not among those who consult with solicitors for the afternoon's entertainment.

If the information regarding the domestic violence is true (Mali in fear of him, Desi withholding the passports, Desi hating women) then it’s likely she has gone along with his views to keep herself safer, or even forced herself to believe them. Finding a wife from overseas is a common tactic of DV perpetrators - I think I read that Mali is from the Philippines? Another red flag. There is a power imbalance here. Further, women in this situation might be escaping something bad in their own country, like dire poverty or family violence. And if he is liked and his views tolerated in their little anti-authoritarian community, it would be harder to escape. Risk of murder escalates in separation so many women instinctively know they need to stay and try to keep on his good side as much as possible, and keep his anger diverted away from herself and her children as much as she can. Don’t forget all of his weapons that a court kept giving back to him (allegedly).

It’s easy to say a woman experiencing violence should do this or that, should stand up for herself, should have fled, should have called here or there, but when you are in the trap, it’s no simple task to spring it without the jaws closing in on you.

Looks like the police helicopter has been doing circles above the Mt Buffalo Chalet for the last hour…just left now…it would be a good place to hide and warm.

They live in a bus. Not a house, with rooms, and closing doors.. Somewhere in this environment there is a child, or who was a child two years ago, who was subjected to a sexual assault.. Either this took place iin that dreadful rusting filthy bus, with the other children there, and Mum, with an newborn baby ( this baby is now 2 -ish) or Dez had access to some other residence ,,,, he was banned from driving, unless of course she drove him to this assignation.......

Somebody, a few somebodies, have been doing somethings very very wrong....

Police extend no-fly zone as search for alleged cop killer Dezi Freeman continues

“Police have provided an update as the manhunt for alleged police killer Dezi Freeman enters its sixth day.

The no-fly zone in Porepunkah has been extended as the manhunt for alleged cop killer Dezi Freeman enters its sixth day.
The update comes after Mr Freeman’s wife broke her silence, urging her husband to surrender to police.

The no-fly zone was extended until 11.30pm on Tuesday, September 2, for “safety reasons”, a Victoria Police spokesperson confirmed on Sunday evening.”

Paraphrased:

  • Mali's lawyer is Sophie Greiner
  • The 7.5km no-fly zone around Porepunkah had been extended until Tuesday.
  • The warrant executed at the time of the fatal shooting was classified as level 1 – the lowest threat category used by police.
  • Vic Police say that the warrant was issued following a complete risk assessment and that resources were “aligned appropriately”
  • Mali’s best friend, Ellissa Pernu ( Her singing duuo partner ), was also dragged from home barefoot to be questioned by police. She was also not charged
  • Desmond is believed to be hiding deep in caves or mineshafts, leaving behind his family to bear the weight of the storm.
  • Lidar maps of mines around Bright and Porepunkah show thousands of mineshafts hidden in the mountains around the regions

Carers are allowed to work up to 25hrs a week including travel per week. She most likely isn't doing anything wrong in that regard

Ciantar/Greiner is a small firm out of Albury/Wodonga, a couple of youngish ladies, covering all aspects, criminal, family, child protection,... so no clue as to what aspect of Law Ms Freeman needs consultation on!!

IF they notify Centrelink. If they don't,, then they get clobbered., She most likely is diddling Centrelink because Dez is, and she has already by not registering her children's birth, what good that does them I do not know,, except it's a handicap all their lives, they most likely are not immunised, what a threat to Porepunkah and surrounds they really are, they get no child bonus, they will have trouble entering the state school system, the kids themselves will run into all sorts of trouble should they need a passport. And SO ON ADFINITUM., ad nauseum. When the poor kids need a pension it will cost them their sanity to undo this deliberate error.

It may just be that they're electric-fenced, or received supplementary feed, in that spot.

Wow! You just killed the romance. Hehe.

I found this map showing mine sites in Victoria, but
I think these are current mines - not disused ones.
I found it very confusing.

View attachment 611879

a lot of these mines are labelled disused for a purpose, they are unusable, ,falling in on themselves, uprights rotting and falling ,natural movements of the earth displacing walls and ceilings,, , it's not they are deserted, they are dangerous and unstable and closed for a purpose, no one willingly abandons a mine that is producing , but a dangerous excavated mine is not worth the trouble .... most of them have their entrances sealed up, depending on the caution and oversight of the local council...... around Rutherglen for example, the old mines are all concreted over now

I suppose Dez is welcome to inhabit a disused ( read disabled dangerous ) mine but so do taipans and red bellied black snakes, ooo those are the fast little biters that kill in seconds..
