I found it difficult to work out just how many cars they had lost, and if they had a car at all. From what I did gather he has lost his licence many times, and she lost her licence AND a car AND a van due to fines of some sort, so leaving the property might have been dependent on neighborly lifts,...,..
Do they repossess cars for outstanding fines in Australia?

Do you mean you read they called and gave him a heads up?
No he said they don't give people the heads up or words to that effect.

It was a question a reporter asked about if Dezi knew they were coming & he said certainly not told by us.

Still looking for it.

It may not have been Commissioner Bush , but another police officer?

They not only repossess a car, they c.r.u.s.h. it. you can collect your car in a cardboard shoe box . If you are annoying enough.

I re-call Commissioner Bush confirmed this in an earlier presser but have not yet found it, I'll keep looking

Also just noticed on re listening to this , when asked by a reporter who else was there he said " Definitely the suspect , the partner , children & I'm not aware of other people "

Yep…. At about 25.30 on this video Commissioner Bush says that the partner and children were there!

Interesting. It’s not the same where I am from. They only do that for boy racer offences

Things are different in lots of places.. I don't know where you are from so I have no idea what you would think is different.

There hasn’t been any mention of him apart from one news article earlier who gave the ages of the children. And there is this pic, obviously taken a few years ago, as the other child is now 15, and there isn’t any sight of the baby.

Dez will be disappointed with this news,, ,too... one day an icon for an idiot, next day, an icon for a criminal. !!! good job, Dez... keep it up....

A man has been arrested after he was allegedly spotted waving an “offensive” photo of accused police shooter Dezi Freeman at Adelaide’s March For Australia protest on Sunday.

A 39-year-old Golden Grove man went to Adelaide’s Grenfell Street police station on Tuesday.

This news from the Daily Mail that posted earlier today made me go for a look on Google maps….

“Marked police cars blocked the entrance to Cavedons Lane, just off the Alpine Highway entering Porepunkah from the north-west.”

Only found an example of why they shoulda bought a Holden!!

So Filby was arrested in 2021 over allegations of sexual offending. Then the police tried to arrest him again last week for sexual offending, and were gunned down.

In 2021, Freeman was arrested while at a protest outside Myrtleford court, over 2019 allegations of sexual-related offending, according to a Border Mail article.

I wonder if the media have got confused with the charges? This article says that the charges were breaching a personal safety intervention order. The dates seem to match.

Suspected Porepunkah gunman Dezi Freeman had no convictions for violence or firearm offences, court record shows

By this time, his name was recorded as Dezi Bird Freeman in the court system.

In February 2021, a charge of breaching a personal safety intervention order dating back to June 2019 was withdrawn. Guardian Australia reported on Thursday that this matter is believed to relate to a neighbour, Loretta Quinn.”

Thanks @drsleuth for posting a bunch of resources in the no discussion thread.

I had missed the current affair piece...2 things jump at me:
1 - Those bogans sure are a special type of idiots, but they strike me as having a very similar behaviour to that developed by our beloved DF later on: entitled, threatening, intimidating, selfish, disrespectful, etc... there's an irony to it.
2 - He was very quick at calling the police on them when it suited his needs and he did not seem bothered by the interaction with officers from the way he tells about it.

I assume all the hatred developed in time fuelled by the online crowd and conspiracies.
