BCA ~ don't forget that some of those vehicles were there because they were in accidents and yes, maybe fatal one's. I think any hits were investigated and nothing was found (in regards to the vehicles).

There has been questions brought up I believe here and else where about this one ODD picture found in the bunch that don't seem to fit as being her car because of the rusted color around the Passengers Front Door. However I was inspecting it again today. It is an odd picture. I put it in my photo shop and lightened the picture and the rust is not the only weird thing to me. There is something behind the rear wheel too, What is that?

This picture is so poor that I can't tell what is what.
Is this from photo manipulation?
Ok, I understand the logic--however--that would mean that the cadaver dog would have hit on multiple locations, as those vehicles would have to have been scattered around the lot. For instance, over hear, then over there, the dog would have been hitting on multiple locations, not just this one. Which leads me to believe she was in that location at some point. Could also explain why none of the Avery's saw the vehicle back there during the day of the 4th. I wonder where this is on the lot?
I haven't heard that the cadaver dog hit on multiple locations, but I did hear that it did hit on this location.
<modsnip>
Yes, there were several dogs used. They used the dogs to search every car on that lot after TH's SUV was found. They were looking for TH at that point, and didn't find her in any of those vehicles. It's in testimony.
Ok...now I'm even more intrigued by this location.... Did he let the cat out of the bag? Doesn't mean he killed her, but her certainly didn't mention that to anyone else when he was asked about it.Ok....very interesting....
I took the Austin-Forensic-Mapping-PowerPoint and increased the size to like 800%. The area appears to be right up in front off the road by the Dassey residence. Looks like the picture was taken after the car was found, as the entrances are blocked off.
You can see someone standing by the grey vehicle across from the white vehicle.

Just a quick thought Sarah, since I really should be in bed LOL I don't think it was used to move the other car over... wouldn't they know just from the weeds and stuff around it? and if that is how the damage happened.... where is the missing wheel well? My guess is, that red car was there for quite awhile... it also didn't have wheels... and I just think it would have been more noticeable if it was 'pushed over'.
I'm even more sceptical since I read that Earl went through there on the Wednesday or Thursday before it was found. He said he was rabbit hunting and was up that way. I don't know how they could have gone past it and not noticed it. There is kind of a road there... the RAV4 would have stuck out. The back tire wasn't even covered.
I dunno LOL this dang RAV4... the dang key.... LOL dang case! ;-)
I was having a look at more photographs of the junkyard last night and there were a couple of angles I hadn't seen before, so I thought I'd share them here.
Shadowraiths, could we possibly have a 'pictures only' sticky thread to copy these to as well? It would be good to have all this type of stuff in one easily accessible place.
Two things that stood out to me :
I hadn't really appreciated just how concealed the RAV4 actually was before seeing the 4th picture with the view from the yard.
I'd always assumed the location was to do with convenience and proximity to the crusher, but it seems to me now that this was also a better hiding place than I originally thought. The ridge is off the beaten track from the main salvage yard, it has a natural barrier of trees and it's parked in the only spot on the ridge that has cars to the right hand side between it and anyone looking up towards it.
After looking (and I mean really looking properly) at the red car it was double parked against, I'm reconsidering whether the RAV4 was used to shunt the red car out of the way to make room to park. It would explain why it was left parked so close up against it and be consistent with the damage to the RAV4. It's really making me re-think the 'hit a deer' idea, even though that theory makes sense to me in so many other ways. But if the damage occurred when parking, why bother picking up the light and putting it back in the RAV4? Are the two concepts even inconsistent with one another? I suppose there could have been a 'deer incident' AND the RAV4 was later used to shunt the red car. Although that feels a bit like having your cake and eating it to me LOL

BCA ~ it was on the passenger side, back door.

ETA: they found nothing on the exterior side doors. On the back cargo door, is where there was unidentified male DNA. (partial profile I think)
