In re: the counterclaims of abuse between JS and DS:

"Weeks later, in a formal letter to Chief John Bennett of the Paradise Valley Police Department dated Jan. 26, Jonah wrote Dina previously filed “false and misleading reports” about bruises on her body stemming from contact with their dog.

“Importantly,” Shacknai wrote, "Dina has been treated medically for years for a bruising disorder, whereby the slightest contact with an object or other material causes bruises. This information can certainly be verified medically.”..........

Btw, I looked up possible side effects of Restylane and didn't find what you mentioned, about steroidal based psychological effects; but did repeatedly find the mention that a side effect was noticeable bruising.

Still, there's a universe of other drug choices available that could cause erratic or impulsive behavior. JS likely had access to it all.
True. And JS wouldn't have to resort to illicit drugs since he would potentially and allegedly have access to the best pharmaceuticals, due to his business knowledge and connections, and his massive wealth. And IF he indulged in such, there could be further complications if mixed with alcohol.

According to HLN yesterday, it wasn't MS's sister is was RN's sister that was there when he fell and it was RN's sister that made the 911 call for that fall.

I know, W.O.O., Vinnie did report such. But there are MANY other reports it WAS Maxies sister. Please forgive me if I need one other reputable source to confirm this before I take it as fact. The MSM and their sloppy reporting has made me SO suspicious and cynical...

ETA: I have NO link but I do recall when the kennel fella was on JVM he mentioned Rebecca mentioning a sister was there...and at that time there seemed to be confusion in understanding on whether it was Rebeccas sis or Maxies sis...it settled it was Maxies sis. For what THAT'S worth...;) Guess we'll see...

As to the drinking, you saw my post from last night? (Of course, this is the merest hearsay......):

Interestingly, on the next page of that thread, msBingo gets into a flame war with other posters and perhaps even exhibits a little erratic behavior of her own........

No rigor set in. Position left in by Adam when he laid her on the grass. If he picked her up in his arms to move her, her legs would naturally bend at the knees.

Rolled partially onto her back when LE arrived to attempt or administer aid until EMTs arrived and called her deceased.

ETA and get this out of the way: Why space between her legs at thighs and knees. Lie on your side with legs slightly bent and ankles together. No need to even mess with tying your hands behind your back. Now roll only your upper body towards your back, but consciously keep your ankles together. Note some separation in your legs as a result. If like me, and the answer to "a bowl of fresh fruit or a bowl of ice cream" gets answered "ice cream" more often than not, maybe not much space at the thighs.

But that girl was thin. Very little body fat. In her case, going to be more separation than I'll ever get if I twist myself like that while keeping ankles together.

Give it a try, then enjoy a nice bowl of cherries. Or the other stuff.

RBBM

I did it. For background, I am 5'10" and about 140 lbs and relatively fit, with long legs, close to Rebecca, I think; my hips protrude when I lay flat, depending on my time of the month ;) ...I laid on my side with ankles together and legs straight, as if I was hanging...and hands behind my back. I then rolled my torso so my back was flat, holding my ankles together. My knees stayed together. There may be a 1"-2" space between them, that is it, but to look at them, they APPEAR to be together.

I really don't pay any attention to what some anonymous commentors says about someone else they 'supposedly' know.

I am sure Jonah made enemies along the way. I don't know of a powerful CEO that doesn't. Resentment, hatred, biases and jealousies seem to abound.

Now I am positive that some of the negativity is valid and warranted but for the most part, imo, a lot of people just don't seem to like wealthy and powerful people who have made it to the very top.

IMO

From People Mag, as of Thursday, July 21st, 2011, they were aware of no comment on Rebeccas death from Jonah:

Shacknai has not commented on his girlfriend's death. But he and ex-wife Dina released a joint statement in remembrance of the boy they called Maxie: "His loving, kind and vibrant spirit will be forever in our hearts and those whom he touched every day."

It was a rare display of unity for the pair, who had a nasty divorce in which they accused each other of physical and verbal abuse, according to reports released by the Paradise Valley, Ariz., police.

I recall them saying tox results will be in this week...I keep searching news and man, there's slim pickings! ;) It'll get more plentiful....eventually.

Would anyone care to enlighten us on California evidence laws...? No sunshine law, I take it, and with this case being associated with such a powerful figure, will we be told much? Is Jerry Brown still Attorney General out there? I need a primer in CA law. ;)

I still find that 15 police working on the case is significant. The fact that a very high priced attorney to known stars is significant. Also a very expensive PR firm has been hired is significant. Who the heck needs a very high priced law firm and PR firm unless there is more hidden than exposed? Stay tuned.

Reminds me of John Ramsey.

Your comments are true, but it's not always possible to get the person flat on their back
& on a hard surface. You just do the best you can in any situation.

If rigor mortis had set in, as I believe it had, cutting the cord wouldn't have done any good,
in order to move her arms to her sides. After cutting the cord, the arms would still be locked behind her back.

If rigor had set in, the EMT's (or whoever responded) would not have initiated CPR.

The fact that EMTs did NOT initiate CPR, tells me that there was no signs of life present when they arrived at the scene.

If there had been signs of life at that time, they would have cut the ties on her hands and done everything possible to save her life.

Ok - I'm just gonna throw this out there FWIW

I think, in the end, this is all going to be about the money. I don't have any facts or statements or articles that I've read to back this up. It is just my "gut feeling" (and no, please don't call me FCA - lol).

This idea hit me last night and I just can't seem to shake it. If she would have married him - she would have now been first in line, even before the kids. As for MS? Well, he was an heir too.

Please don't throw rocks.

Well, since it's slow around here, ;), seems there were problems with the wrinkle fillers:

U.S. regulators have received reports of "serious and unexpected" problems in people treated with wrinkle-fighting injections known as dermal fillers, a report released on Friday said.

The problems included facial palsy, disfigurement and "rare but life-threatening events such as severe allergic reactions and anaphylactic shock," Food and Drug Administration staff said in the report.

Dermal fillers include Allergan Inc's Juvederm (AGN.N), Restylane and Perlane from Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp (MRX.N), and Bioform Medical's BFRM.O Radiesse.
"We do not see any adverse events that are unexpected or unnoted on our product label," Medicis Chairman and Chief Executive Jonah Shacknai said.

"We haven't seen anything that is life-threatening," he added.

Shacknai said company testing has not shown any allergic reactions to Restylane or Perlane. The most common problems reported are swelling and bruising, he said.

Bruising? Dinas bruising? I recall Jonah saying she had a disease that made her bruise easily...maybe this drug? This article is dated Nov/08, I THINK Dina was with him then? Not sure about that.

And BTW, the link to the full FDA report is no longer valid: page not found.

There are no rocks in my hands. Could very well be. Hopefully, the police are thorough.

I'm doing archive searches to see what may be found from 2008 to 2010... since there is no current news...and my SO is sleeping. :)

Are you saying that you think Rebecca killed Max to get rid of him so he couldnt be a heir to Jonah's pot of gold?

Dont you think that Jonah would have really wanted Rebecca to sign a prenup first if they did get married?

I mean I am sure he has seen how expensive two ex-wives can be.

Paladine, That's funny Jerry Brown is our own nut wing, pot smoker is our Governor now..shows how crazy the CA are. I have lived here all my life an the decline in CA is scary..an no we don't have a Sunshine Law, which after watching Caylee's case for 3 yrs is making us all impatient..lol

Honestly I wasn't there and can't explain the position of her body. Maybe the perp position her body??????I

ETA: If AS cut her down as he says, maybe he picked her up and naturally the legs would bend and placed her on the ground. I will wait for the answer. Patient as I can be. LOL

She wasn't laying all the way on the ground. By that I mean that it looked as if someone had placed a Barbie doll in a semi-sitting position, with the wrists completely together sticking out behind her back. Lay the doll on the grass on her side, twisted a bit at the waist.

You can see for yourself on the Fox 5 website, pic #5 in the click-thru series.

No, I don't believe RN killed MS. Not at all. I'm wondering about the 13 yr old (albeit RN's sister OR MS's sister) whoever was immediately shipped off, out of sight. I do believe that MS went over that landing and not down those stairs, probbly hitting that marble table (if it was still there) on the way to that marble floor.

Prenup? Probably and she was probably ok with it. AS - the jealous brother. DR - the alledgedly abusive ex-wife. Or even an unkown to us third party with big money interests.

This party. RN was planning a party - before MS's fall - was working on arrangements when he did fall. What was this party for? Who was this party for? The objective of this party was? Did it continue? Was it for RN or JS? Invitation list - you know one was at least created. The report of loud music - maybe RN being upset she wasn't "allowed" at the hospital and now wasn't throwing this awesome party? Could this party have been an engagement party?

The players high on my list for this are ex-wife and/or AS. But neither were even around when MS fell. And, FWIW I don't believe that MS's fall was an accident. Again, nothing to back that up - just my instincts.

According to HLN yesterday, it wasn't MS's sister is was RN's sister that was there when he fell and it was RN's sister that made the 911 call for that fall.

I think that is misinformation.

-A neighbor girl, a friend of Max's sister said she had been there and left very early on Tuesday morning for SC.
-Many articles also state it was GS, Max's sister

In fact, HLN is the only place saying it was RN's sister, and Vinnie had also gotten another thing wrong. He said he was talking to a "friend" of Rebecca's, when actually it was the guy who picked up the dog who corrected Vinnie. I think either HLN misspoke, or they got the info wrong. I'm sure if R's sister was there, her other sister who had spoken to the media would have mentioned that.

Or maybe... they aren't.

As I walked out onto the deck... and the doors "sprung" shut behind me. (And hit me in the @$$...)

What if the french doors shut by themselves?
Like hotel doors?

Nobody would have had to shut them, they would have shut by themselves...
Whether it was Rebecca hanging herself or Adam cutting the rope.

It's possible, but I seriously doubt it. It makes no sense to have French doors that open toward the ocean be fixed to shut by themselves. You'd want to be able keep the doors open to catch the ocean breezes.

Although I know the stats and have seen it posted here, it still surprises me that most people who commit suicide do not leave notes...I would think they would want people to know why they were so miserable, or would want to either acquit or blame someone, depending upon how they are feeling at the time...in this case, I would think she would reference the little boy, if she did kill herself and that was the reason...I also can't see her doing it in a way that could end up with someone being charged with her murder.

When I was really young, I attempted suicide twice and neither time did I even think to leave a note. I was so sad and hurting so much, that a note to the ones I was leaving behind was the last thing on my mind.
A mentally healthy person can't begin to understand what is going on inside the head of someone planning a suicide..
