The sheriff's department said Tuesday they is looking into the "possibility other people may have been staying inside the house" the night before Zahau died.

Earlier reports indicated Zahau and Adam Shacknai were the only ones inside the mansion.

BBM

That's interesting......

Interesting.

But just to be sure everyone uknows this was a July 19, 2011 newsreport so it´s not from this Tuesday.

I also found this statement, from the same newsreport, interesting:

Detectives are also sorting out reports of a party the night before Zahau's death. On Tuesday, the sheriff's department was "cautious to call it a party", but was investigating an "event" that may have taken place.

So what kind of "event" was that???

I really wonder if Neil Nalepa visited Rebecca that Tuesday night?

Thanks for the timeline!!

I have been going back and reading articles. Can't find any current information. Trying to see what I may have missed...

I keep thinking that some of the earlier articles might be more "truthful".

Just throwing this out there, could the dog have gotten under foot on the stairs? Mine did when she was able to get up and down the stairs and she could have knocked my kids down running by, too and i almost trip over my cats on the stairs about daily.

My pug can and has tripped me and knocked me over as many times as my yellow lab has, and I'm small, but not as small as a six yo boy.

So sorry to hear...it's hard when we lose our furbabies, too...:( I have a 5 yr old...I'm already dreading it...(< personal issue ;) )

Thanks for kind comment. We lost Dice last year (the 10 y/o) and one of our 13 y/o a couple months back. It's difficult, but worth the time you have with them. 3 more seniors, 2-13 and 1-9. I added my mom's dogs when she died and it's hard to place older dogs, so they will live out there lives here.

I find it so interesting that RZ spoke to NN the week of July (prior to her death). Do I have that information correct? They were divorced and had no children. I've been divorced (cough, cough) and I was just not that interested in talking to my ex(s). Even the one I have a child with.

I do recall that they were on good terms?:waitasec:

The whole NN and RN relationship is off. The divorce was final in February 2011, but RN has been with JS for 2-3 years....You would think that JS would have paid for her divorce. It doesn't seem like NN and RN had a lot of property to divide or any children.

I have now corrected the info on the timeline I posted.

FYI:

On Neil Nalepa´s Face Book he has two Zahau teenages listed as friends, their names are: Xxxx Zahau, 6th grade (girl), and Jxxxxx Zahau, 8th grade (boy)

They go to school in Cosby Missouri.
Who's children/siblings they are, I dont know for sure, but I belive that RN's sister Mary Zahau-Loehner live in St. Joseph, Mo, and that is ca. 15 miles from Cosby Missouri, so they are probably her children, that beeing RN's niece and nephew.

I believe MZL has only been married 2 years from some previous research, making it almost impossible for her to have teenage kids. Also MZL and RN are about a year apart, making MZL a teenager if she currently has teenage kids... But I saw somewhere when I looked up official records that she married her husband about a year or two ago.

Am gonna look for her siblings..I know I read of sis in germany..brothers and sis mary. I am just not convince that mary would write the memorial statement as she did if her sis or brother were still in highschool

MZL, Rebecca's sister who lives in St. Joseph, Missouri, was quoted by ABC News as saying that she had a phone conversation with her on Tuesday night and that she was just fine.

'Shocked and devastated' at the mysterious death of Rebecca Zahau, the family plans to hold her funeral service in Missouri State, where her parents live.

Her son was at his father's house. I think there must be a reasonable explanation why they had difficulty contacting her. Not everybody is tethered to cell phone reception 24/7. Signals don't go everywhere yet.

I doubt she was of the opinion her replacement in her husband's life was "good" at mothering her son. I've never seen anybody in her situation happy about a "new" mother figure in their child's life.

with RN. I personally know many mother's who drop off their kids at their dad's house for the weekend and don't realize dad has to work or has plans that do not inlcude his children. These kids are then left with the new girlfriend, step mom etc and the dad has no idea the resentment this causes between the child and new girlfriend and "real" mom and girlfriend. This scenario plays out in many ways but in my experience the younger the child the more abuse they suffer at hands of girlfriend/stepmom.

So DS could have thought MS was spending a wonderful weekend at JS's house WITH JS and not just RN- of course until she found out MS was in hospital.

I am a mandated reporter and thus have had to make calls for over 20 years and NOT once was it NOT the stepmom/new girlfriend or stepdad/new boyfriend.

This is my very first post, thanks for reading.

True...but I think Inubo (sp?) was referring to the dog that reportedly bit Dina....a different dog.

as a former dog trainer I have to say that in the last few years of my career I stopped training this breed. People often buy the wrong type of dog for their lifestyle and this creates so many problems. These dogs are not mean per se towards children , they are just FULL of energy and NEVER stop. They are very strong even when they are puppies.

but if JS or DS thought the dog was involved, why not hang the dog???

I agree about the dad not always around, real mom not knowing, gf situation.

Rebecca Nalepa’s family is expected to hold a news conference today. Local news reports that family members are spread across the United States. A reported sister is in Germany, family members are in Missouri

SOURCE: http://news.lalate.com/2011/07/15/r...-consistent-with-evidence-removed-from-scene/

I was going over a video and notice that the reporter said that the family could not comment as not to compromise the investigation. This could mean that they were briefed by LE in that it is a far cry from we are kept in the dark echoed in the early days of the investigation.

The question is will it be with LE?
