Article says investigation is ongoing so my guess is this is Nurmi stalling for more time. Hope is right...he should be sanctioned and Missy needs to go to Perryville solitary confinement.

@courtchatter: 2/4/13 DEF COMP EXP Lonnie Dworkin cross exam JM “Do you remember an interview with me where you said there was NO 🤬🤬🤬🤬?” Yes. #JodiArias

To me, it makes no sense that Flores would do this. It isn't against the law to have 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on your computer. Why would he take the risk? Makes no sense.

Travis doesn't have to be pure as the driven snow. No one deserves to be butchered.
--------
MyVice, I agree! what difference does it make what Travis had! FGS. he is the one butchered. He is not the defendant! What happened with HER computer? now that would be of interest. Travis is not on trial lawyer idiots!! Nurmi knows about all this carp because he deals with scum on a regular basis. This should mean crap to the law, Travis had rights too. His computer info is one of them. How low can he go!!! :seeya:

And what about her computer. The one she hid in her laundry basket. Wasn't her hard drive destroyed?

Yup. Good point.

BBM. That's exactly what I think she did either then or prior to moving back to Yreka. That's if these images ever even existed. I never suggested she did it remotely.
:hugs: I know, were all on the same page now. :) You were thinking ahead of me. :)

Flores would not be so stupid as to have openly signed the computer out of the locked evidence area in order to delete files. I think if LE want to alter evidence they would know how to do it in a manner that it would not be detectable. I do not think that is what happened here. But just saying....

Regarding if Jodi had downloaded 🤬🤬🤬🤬 images from a CD onto Travis' computer: Yes, she could have done this. BUT every single one of the files she downloaded would have the same date and time as their "File Creation Date". Which would look kind of hokey, especially if it turned out that date and time was the day of his death.

One of the most popular forensic programs LE uses is called "Encase". There were a lot of interesting articles written about computer forensics after it came out many months after the case was over that some files were missed by the Police Department "computer expert" when the hard disk of the Anthony home computer was examined.

These articles definitely made a case for LE to hire educated, certified IT experts for this work, rather than just promoting a police officer who "expressed an interest in computers" to become their "in office expert". And that was what happened in the Casey Anthony case.

Here's an article about the screw-up in the Anthony case: http://www.clickorlando.com/news/Cops-prosecutors-botched-Casey-Anthony-evidence/17495808

"In response, lead sheriff's Investigator Yuri Melich sent Burdick a spreadsheet that, our investigation found, contained less than 2 percent of the computer’s Internet activity that day.

Melich and Osborne relied on Internet data from the computer’s Internet Explorer browser – one Casey Anthony apparently stopped using months earlier. Since March, she preferred the computer’s Mozilla Firefox browser, as investigators already knew.

The spreadsheet sent to Burdick included 17 vague entries from the Internet Explorer browser history on June 16, 2008, and failed to list 1,247 entries recorded on the Mozilla Firefox browser that day -- including the search for “foolproof suffocation.”

The mistake meant prosecutors went to trial unaware of 98.7 percent of the browser history records created that day."

She did bring cd's to his house. I believe she told him they were pictures of there trips, if I am remembering correctly.

Also, her "story" is he was mad at her for screwing up his computer, or something to that effect.

So Flores, computer forensics guy, and JM are what would be needed at minimum to keep this a secret....if not more ppl. That would be really really really difficult. And for what purpose? Frame a girl they don't know to make a guy they don't know look more like a victim? Say what?;? Nurmi will just do anything to get off this case. This is a nightmare for any crime victim and their family...and I think this goes beyond the CA trial shenanigans

I call BS. I would further say, who cares... what would that have to do with her butchering him? Funny it took all this time to find someone to say this. I just wonder how this got out anyway?
How it got out? Phone call from Nurmi to Keifer. Like every other leak.

Does anyone have a link-- that still works -- to JACK's 12 page motion to fire Nurmi? She listed in it the "leads" she thought Nurmi had blown off. Want to see what if anything she said then about TA's hard drive.

I believe she was trying to do something weird to his computer that day, just based on the stories she's told. Seems her initial interrogation centered around accounting for whatever they might find on Travis' computer. Remember the stories about bugs chewing the screen and computer viruses (there were also no viruses on his computer, unusual for someone who'd accessed 🤬🤬🤬🤬 over 1,000 times).

But I'm not sure whatever she did or was trying to do has anything to do with this. That's one thing I think we'll never know.

Didn't she say there were little bugs on the screen. A virus?

Just the sheer amount of work involved in deleting or overwriting thousands of files seems to outweigh any benefit it would have. It's irrational.

You bet. It's as low as you can go. No wonder Nurmi wants no cameras. Does he really think we have forgotten details of this trial?

So this motion isn't just a prosecutorial misconduct one, or a motion to drop the death penalty. It's a motion to have all charges against Jodi dropped. If that happened she's a free woman.

Travis was extremely angry over whatever was on the CDs Arias brought to his house on the day she murdered him. They had quite a scene.

I remember this in the Anthony case and I was shocked that LE didn't do a more thorough search. LE had a solid case against JA, even if Travis had been a bad guy. Let's all remember if TA had been female and JA had been a man, the killer would already be on death row.

You are absolutely correct. Even I with little IT brain can't fathom the amount of work just for framing a stranger

She said when he booted his laptop there were bugs crawling up his screensaver and she asked what that was all about and he said 'That's my dam virus' (or words to that effect). No virus was found according to LE computer guy (Mendez?).
