Again, I have only been skimming and I can't read everything but I caught the part of 🤬🤬🤬🤬 being found on a computer and all I can honestly say is WHO CARES? I don't care if they have it on their computer or how much they have of it, it is that persons adult life and they can look at what they please. So long as it is not abusive/child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 then a person has the right to view as they please. It's not MY thing, but it isn't illegal, so I really don't see why this would need to be brought up in a trial.

Is this where they are going with that? To assault his moral character?

IMPO, Nurmi is no dummy. He knows the public reviles pedophiles (he's had plenty of experience!). His tact could very well be that the jury will in someway believe that Jodi was doing everyone a favor by ridding this world of another child molester. I can't think of anything more heinous than inferring in some way or another that this gentle man deserved to die.

ITA...who writes a motion that basically says- well if you don't dismiss all the charges, then you must at least take the DP off the table. Why the either/or? If you have the stuff it takes to get the conviction overturned, then go for it. Show your cards!

I think he did show his cards. It reads like someone initiating a barter, asking an unreasonable price to make the final real cost sound like a bargain.

Throw out everything! Let her walk! Or.....at least, take away that pesky DP. Yep.

I don't think this has been answered. Sorry if it has been.

Surely there were 2 HD's, yes? The original and a mirror copy? Were both recently examined? Are they identical? Was the mirror copy made before alleged tampering?

Ideally the original HD should have never even been examined. A mirror copy of it should have been made and that mirror copy should have been examined. The original should have been under strict lock and key. There are strict protocols for electronic discovery. I have every faith that those protocols have been maintained by law enforcement.

The lie that TA was a pedophile is the only mitigation they can come up with.

Contemptible.

Unfortunately you can't slander a dead person. It is legally allowed.

Not to mention. Earlier folks raised the possibility Flores might have erased the files because he is a Mormon. I think his being Mormon is entirely irrelevant to whether or not he's an ethical cop.

An ethical cop wouldn't tamper with evidence for any reason, much less because of his religion. I believe Flores is ethical . If he saw those files, especially if child 🤬🤬🤬🤬, I bet the only effect his religion would have would be to double his disgust as he promptly reported his findings.

ITA, if anything him being a devout mormon would only hasten his reporting of his findings. But lest us assume for one second Flores is an IT guy, who does forensic examination on electronics. Wait, we dont because he is a homicide investigator at the time. He wouldnt have any more knowledge than the average person, he certainly wouldnt have more technical knowledge than Mesa PD's I.T . Im so over <modsnip>,KN, and JSS. Get this circus over with.

Does this open the door for Juan to bring in the witness tampering (Matt M.) and the forged letters that the killer attempted to use to support her lies about her victim being a pedophile?

Do you honestly believe JSS will allow more truth to come out about the killer?

Well, an examination of the original would put a quick end to this nonsense then, right?

She went back to her diary and rewrote stuff, I wouldn't put her past her to put this crap on TA's computer. She probably told Nurmi, I know there is 🤬🤬🤬🤬 there cause I put it there.

That very well could be. He did file this motion publicly and is perhaps hoping just one juror sees the headline that Travis was a pedophile. He could care less that it isn't true.

I just like to refer to this as the "Hail mary" the one they had in their back pockets the entire time, for "just in case" they need to play the play. And here we are.

Its really long overdue that someone plays hardball back to the defense team.

Since I dont have any faith that the judge will play hardball, i hope Juan does.

There has to be something they can do to stop this madness and false unproven allegations.

Ya know, I could hardly sleep after I read about this last night. The more I thought about it, the more I was convinced that this was all part of Jodi's master plan from the beginning. She's done something...I feel it in my gut. I think she let the rejection fester from the getgo, and it grew into something very, very evil. I think this goes beyond her plan to kill Travis. She had to ruin him unequivocally. IMPO, she's one depraved individual.

I suppose Juan Martinez would not be as vindictive as I. When this case is over, and JA has been sent to Perryville, I, as the district attorney, would do anything I could to make sure Nurmi suffered professionally in every court case where I opposed him. I would make him pay and pay and pay some more. Don't know how but I would spend my every waking moment thinking of ways to make him pay. He has really made me angry trying to make a name for himself by getting this killer off. I know that would be unethical but he and Baez and Cheney are just gross.

But truth is, he likely just wants the DP taken off the table as he requested in his motion.

Last thought for awhile. Too much CMJA has given me a wicked headache.

If JM can't prove lack of tampering- for whatever reason, I think the DP should be taken off the table, she should be given LWOP, and let whoever does her appeals take up the issue if they dare.

Maybe its better to preserve and protect that premed guilty verdict than to risk it being over turned by more dirty tricks .

This isn't about Nurmi winning or CMJA getting off on the chaos. It's about making sure that fiend is put away for life.

We do not sleuth minors who are not victims, ever. It is a big no-no.

No. Her time is coming. So is Casey Anthony's.

No compromising.

I asked a few days ago in the legal thread if Azlawyer thought during this "Break" there would be some dealings on a settlement going on. I just had this feeling it was amping up to push the state and family into removing the DP option and just giving her life. This motion is the last hail mary they have, to finally break down TAs family into submission and get them in line. I am afraid, it will probably work. I have a feeling the next time we go into court, it will be to announce theyre removing the DP option
