That's what I was thinking too. Remember that they're first claim was that the prosecution deleted things in 2009. Since they were the only ones with a working copy of the harddrive (since they broke the original), it's possible they could have deleted things, say the state did it and hide what they did by using the Incinerator).

But again, I don't think professionals would go to such lengths to earn a few bucks. But who knows?

IMO, IF it did happen, it wasn't BN who did it. He's just the guy they called in for the court to make it all seem legit.

From what I understand of Incinerator 2.3, the program is supposed to reside in the recycle bin, so the specific location in and of itself is not problematic.

From a forensic standpoint, obsolete operating system and software files lost due to an update really should not be an issue. Data files, documents, emails and browser history are the real issues.

I think Juan did call him. It was Perry Smith. He basically said he tried to make a copy himself and it just clicked and wouldn't work. That's all Juan can really ask him since it can't be proven how that damage happened.

I have to confess I zoned out when Perry Smith was testifying - this whole /deletions issue is such a load of nonsense, imo, that I have hard time giving it any serious attention. I really think it boils down to... absolutely nada.

Anyway... do you think Perry Smith is in fact the same witness mentioned in this tweet?:

Exactly. BN should have (a) checked his copy/clone was exactly the same as the original, and (b) looked at it. Period. Without doing anything to it whatsoever. Pure apples to apples.

Knowing this Judge I think she will say no prosecutorial misconduct but 'evidence' can come in and the experts can duke it out in front of the jury. What a waste of time that will be. I hope she's at least firm on the child issue as there is none. The defense will do anything to distract the jury from the autopsy photos and JA's lack of remorse.

Incinerator 2.3 is a software used to remove deleted files from the recycle bin so they cannot ever be recovered with recovery tools.

It also says, "While it also places an entry in the Windows Context Menu to easily wipe files on the go, Incinerator is also able to shred free disk space, regardless if we're talking about hard-disks, USB removable drives or any other media."

And from what I understand of it, that version didn't come out until 2010. And it was in a recycle bin that was not on Travis' OS. What reason would anyone have to use that kind of software while examining Travis' hard drive?

Let's start with May 28, 2008. Which is the first time these sites just happened to start occurring on TA's computer. Riddle me this. Isn't that the very same day that Jodi found out that TA was taking Mimi to Cancun? And don't forget that this also was the day that there was an unfortunate BURGLARY at Paw paw's :wink: house, and that darn gun was stolen.

JA could have very well sent an email attachment with a virus to TA.
Just in case Mimi ever happened to get on Travis's laptop. She was very good in her knowledge of technology, you know hacking and all his passwords etc.
TA had already written on his blog that he was serious about finding a good woman to marry.

Later she even tried blackmailing (for loss of a better word) JSS. I'll give up my pro se if I can get rid of KN and have another attorney, but I'll keep JW for good measure. Well that little tactic didn't work, and she already had her new evidence. Her and her PI had the hard drive, she decided later to take back her attorneys and give up representing herself.

One more attempt at getting rid of Nurmi before the trial started with a 12 page letter didn't work. It was written a little earlier maybe Oct. 17 ? but actually filed on Oct. 22, 2014. Which Ironically BN or Tony the Tiger, or whoever's name had to be written down for JM (cause it's a secret, shhhh) actually went into TA's computer and attempted to delete the incinerator program manually. ON OCTOBER 22 2014 AT 10:16 PM TO BE EXACT.

I believe that references were added to the computer on what appears to be a day in last may. The incinerator program sounds like it was used to hide the tracks of how it got there. JMO

A little speculation for ya...

My guess is that the Blue Oyster Cult 'posse' had modified all their copy(ies) of the Compaq Presario's source hard disk drive (HDD). This would also explain the size differences between the original source and what they turned over to the State.

They grabbed any old HDD which was sitting around and gave it to the State in order to buy time. Tony's HDD showing up on Perry's desk was no accident. There is no way they would have overlooked a review of that HDD before turning it over to JM's experts. To do so would have been unthinkable; i.e., sloppy on steroids. E.g., what if that HDD had been part of BN's work product on behalf of CMJA and they just handed it to the prosecutor?

Caught with their pants down when BN was ordered to return the copy of the HDD to the State in precisely the same condition in which he received it, they had to buy time while employing a tool which would permanently delete data without leaving any traces of modification/manipulation. Their impossible dream was to 'reverse engineer' it back to its original state, only they failed in amateur-hour fashion.

That's my explanation for Incinerator 2.3 and I'm stickin' to it.

I'm not a computer expert either, but I can share what I do know. I have antivirus and malware protection on my computer. If the programs find anything they put in quarantine. It stays there unable to function til I decide to delete it from my computer altogether. So it seems to me that there must be a way to quarantine virus' while the computer expert is working on them so he doesn't have to delete them. I don't know if that's available or not, but it seems easy to do.
