Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 20

I'm saddened to say (and sorry if this offends anyone) I can only conclude based on the continued refusal of the Judge to honor the processes set forth in our court system after no less than 2 higher courts have "spoken", that the handling of the secret testimony issue from beginning to end has been disingenuous and bias.

She hasn't refused to honor the process. She agreed to release them pending the outcome of the Supreme Court. She said this morning that the transcripts are ready to go!

Juan seems to really have this guy painted in a corner. Laurence argues that the guy only had three days and need more time to find all the child JA planted. But Juan has him admitting he started working for the defense ~6 months ago.

People will say nothing good about her. But they will say about Juan that he did his job according to the rules, and was successful in the face of pathological adversity and was the only one interested in justice for Travis and his family.

I believe they always charge for transcripts to cover costs.

I believe the point Beth was making was that they were unconstitutionally prohibited from hearing the testimony and now they have to pay for it...should have been free access from the beginning

I wonder if Jodi hiding and testifying was to make a precedent to let this guy to hide something from the stand.

I guess Juan didn't get the memo about letting this witness slide on by without anyone knowing his name.

So, AZL, does he have to answer? or does this witness get to continue to hid from the public?

He's going to have to answer some questions about qualification and such isn't he? Schools attended , who his kindergarten teacher was etc?

Qualifications, yes. But I think he's already answered he has no degree beyond high school, so the questions, if any, would be about experience.

I respectfully disagree. Her one job is to schedule her cases, keep order in her Courtroom and keep cases running smoothly and at an reasonable pace. She has done none of those things above. If its either a pass or fail grade if I was the teacher she would get a fail from me.

OT- does anyone know why sometimes I try to click the "thanks" button and a little error window with a yellow triangle and an exclamation point pops up, the "thanks" disappears from the post and my name is not added to the people that "thanked"? I think we should be allowed to express our frustrations without fear of annoying others. I have strong opinions about this case and this Judge but I sincerely respect opinions that are different from my own. We should make room for all sorts of emotions here on our beloved forum. One of the tweets posted a few days back said that Sue said something about "the registry files". If that is accurate, it makes me wonder about this guy. I've never heard it referred to as plural - only "the registry file" or much more often merely "the registry".
