Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 5

I could be very wrong but I truly believe there is now a greater possibility of the killer facing the DP. This time around they already know she is guilty and she is just trying to smutty the victim. Makes her look worse than during the first trial...if that is even a possibility. Her attorneys look like low-life as well.

I think that in the first trial, Nurmi and Willmott drug it out for sooooo long, that the impact of some of the evidence became diluted and the jury became fatigued by the end, thanks to all the other minutiae the defense team insisted on putting out there (with the help of the judge, imo :hand. I don't think this tactic will work for them this time. :moo:

The Spiderman briefs were supposedly worn by another 'little boy Travis knew last year'. According to Arias, Travis chased him around and that's what first set her thinking he was into little boys (last part not verbatim)

I don't know if it was in this tape or elsewhere, but obviously Nurmi needs to get the "three hole wonder" line in so can use it in a question for every witness until the end of the trial.

I think the first trial showed she'd been a 3-holer since her Bobby days in high school, then with Matt, then Darryl, and poor TA and who knows how many stops in between.

If I was Juan, during closings I would remind the jury that the defendant did everything she could to destroy Travis' character even after she had already slaughtered him. Slaughtering him wasn't good enough for her. He needs to remind them of when the allegations of abuse and pedophilia came about. Just more lies she concocted in her evil head like she did the ninja story and the 'I wasn't there' story or the 'you need to look at his roommate' story.

Always blaming her own actions on someone else.

The juror that put the question in the box should be asking 'WTH does this have to do with whether she gets the DP or not?'

Why JS is allowing Nurmi to retry this case and even changing the DT theory in mid stream leaves me smh because I just don't see how all of this is relevant in this phase.

I would be upset as a juror because its not wise to try and dirty up a victim who suffered as much as Travis did. Having a sex phone talk with Arias isn't what got him murdered. What did was when he told her to leave him alone for good.

I would have nothing but disgust for Jodie were I one of the juror's. She and Nurmi are thoroughly disgusting.

At least we didn't have to actually hear the sex tape this time, but I just wish my memory wasn't as good as it is!

Yes, and I think there is a picture of Travis when he was a really young boy wearing that kind of briefs I think.

Not one bit of of any kind was found in Travis' home or phone or computer. None and to know she has told this horrible wicked lie on a totally innocent man makes my blood boil!

I've wondered exactly when she came up with this 'defense'. Did she see how it worked in the CA trial gaah and thought it would work for her too? In the interrogation tapes she is pointing the fingers at other people and even used the word 'deviant' to describe one of them, so perhaps it was always part of the plan to use these allegations if her first dozen or so lies weren't believed, lol.

I don't know about any of you, but this is just exhausting to me. I cannot look away because I want to see Jodie pay for what she did to Travis. She may very well get the death penalty this time.

I take pleasure in imagining Jodie upon intake at the prison demanding to see her lawyer and the officers telling her she doesn't have a lawyer! Willmott & Nurmi will no longer be in her life at all, IMO.

I revel in thinking of Jodie on death row. She so richly deserves it!

I'm watching HLN right now. They just played some sound bites of his friends speaking about him.

One of his friends said if you came to him complaining about someone else, you'd leave feeling bad about it because Travis helped people to see the good in everyone.

This was Travis' beautiful but fatal "flaw." He always wanted to see the good in people including Jodi. The problem is not everyone has good in them. Jodi didn't. And it was only when he was being killed that he realized it.

It's just makes it that much more heartbreaking

No, that he was naked, that makes it more perverse. Chasing him in his underwear and in front of people is no big deal. There were no sexual overtones in it.
