There is not an ounce of sweat on her in that photo … IMO

Her husband reported her missing at 11am, and she left home at 7:00am
Other runner was captured at 07:16… incorrectly .

Referenced earlier in the thread ..
IMO
Ah yes. I've really mucked those times up. Will edit.

Regardless, I still think it's a possibility that this is her returning.

Beads of sweat, hard to see in the photo but the last part of her walk/run could have been a warm down.

do we even know that photo was taken on that day?

She obviously had a full bag of dog poo, but on the day she disappeared she didn't take the dogs.

The tv footage of that shot of MM seated in a deep blue Ford Ranger Raptor shows a rear number plate ‘INLAND’.
Also of interest was the unusual small hole in the driver side rear passenger door .
Looks like a hole has been drilled to pull a dent out but the job hasn't been finished with filler & spray. Pretty standard repair method.

Currently there is a VPol chopper doing circuits in the Woowookarung forest in the vicinity of the Mt Clear college on Olympic Ave … no idea if it’s related to the search for Sam.
Interesting, that’s about 6km through trails from her house. Lines up with the 10-14km return run that has been mentioned.

One thing that I think a lot of people have ran with from media reports is that it’s suspicious. No where have I seen police actually state this yet. They just said it could be suspicious. Two different things.

To me the photo looks like she has come back from a run/walk because her hair has become a bit loose.

She may have went out earlier that day due to having to be somewhere at 10am as well as factoring in breakfast and a shower.
Edited due to quoting incorrect times...
Too bad the still isn't time/date stamped. Maybe it was from another era

It points this way as its so neat and (from whats publicly known) to be with no trace. Not hard to throw a phone out a car window to hamper the accuracy of a search. An opportunistic crime/accident is so unlikely to leave little evidence. Its obviously possible, but so low on the likelihood scale.
Agreed.

Kerry Whelan, Sylvia Stuart, Lynette Dawson, Jennifer Dulos, Peter Falconio, Tegan Lane, Kelsey Berreth, etc etc. It's a pretty long list.
I'm talking in context- developments in forensic science have made it more likely that a murder conviction can be obtained- which enabled the above victims mentioned, to have perps get convicted. It is not easy- have to have majority verdict

Based on reading the discussion, as well as a few news stories, the basics are that she left the house at 7 AM for a 14 km run. She was expected home around 9 AM. The family was concerned when she did not return on time, and contacted police soon after. Please correct if I'm mistaken.

Rather than focus on whether she left the house, why not accept what police have said: she left the house. That puts her near her driveway and Eureka St at 7 AM.

Then she vanished into thin air and, at this time, there's no evidence telling investigators which direction she went next. However, she's has a regular running routine from the house at 7 AM to the park trails, where she routinely runs 10-20 km. Map of nearby trails. She isn't on the road very long before reaching the park, but searches suggest that she is not at the park.

Her phone pinged 10 hours later, 11 km away, at a golf course. I have not seen any other ping information. I am curious about smart watch data.

All CCTV trace of her vanished at the end of her driveway or on Eureka. Since she's not there or at the park, that means she was voluntarily or involuntarily taken in a vehicle to another location.

The driver of that vehicle might have turned on her phone at 5 PM for some reason, or accidentally.

OPINION: Sounds like a random stalker that she was unaware of - someone who saw her jogging early in the morning. Perhaps this happened on a Sunday, rather than a weekday, for a reason. Perhaps someone saw her, noticed her routine, got the wrong idea, planned for a day off work, and now she cannot be found.

This is most of the coverage so far (POL31 this time - it is flying very high up for a ground search):

If thats a wicking singlet it breathes well. I think there are areas that appear darker/clingier from sweat. Around the collarbones and the singlet strap over the shoulder. Apart from that the photo quality is very flat and washed out so hard to see sweat on the skin.
The top is airy around the waist/hips, good airflow.

Also, if she has done a run-down-walk process a lot of sweat may have evaporated. Perhaps only the back of the neck and hair would be damp. And probably around her tummy and seat of the leggings which are black and we can't see anyway as obscured by the singlet top.
If she's wearing a sports/running bra they also breathe and wick sweat away well. Her back maybe sweaty too but we can't see that.

I wouldn't assume the photo is immediately after a decent run. Runners walk around, potter, they don't just stop suddenly, well not the runners I know. She doesn't look too puffed. She is long term fit, despite fairly recent covid. That kind of conditioning means her warm downs are quite pleasant, especially if she hasn't fanged it the whole way but done intense pace and interval surges. A very fit person jogging at a leisurely tempo isn't always going to be drenched.

p

perhaps you could suggest a reason why a 'hit" would be made on a 51 year old mother of 3
Motive- financial
Means / opportunity- routine run, semi rural area, most inane part of a day - when least expected
Who stands to benefit? Cui bono
I've no doubt a forensic accountant will be going through records. A basic ABN/ ASIC search has yielded information that they'll be questioning.
