OT but, Sea, if you ever decide to write some books, I'll be in line to buy your first edition.

Ha - that's very sweet and quite generous of a compliment Strawberry! Thank you, but these boys of mine keep me so busy and my brain so rattled, I can barely write my name most days. I often thought (think) about writing and would love to, maybe one day I can get my thoughts together enough.

Enjoy your visit with your friend! That sounds really nice - great to have lifelong friends like that. I have three or four like that myself I consider pure gold in my life.

Thanks so much for sharing this with us Sea! Fascinating! Like you stated in post #277, Helter Skelter was my first 'true crime' novel and I was hooked. But years before that, I read every Perry Mason hardback in my grand father's bookshelf....Nancy Drew and Trixie Beldon novels too. funny how childhood experiences shape ones character, isn't it?

Sorry OT everyone but sometimes it helps to get to know one another a bit while we wait and pray for Britt and her family.....

I do not recommend anyone opening the francesfarmer link in post 279. Alot of stuff was running on puter and there were pics of girl action in the ads. Just wanted you all to know Sorry SeaNymph, I am not calling you out as I'm sure it was an honest mistake and just don't want you to get a TO. (((((wm))))

yeah, wm, my dad still reads about every fiction crime book he can get his hands on and of course followed true crime cases - I guess thats where I picked it up too. My son also is interested. I have a book with just short stories of true crime stories and not too long ago I caught him reading it one day....first instinct was to take it away but remembered he is older than I was when I was reading Helter Skelter so I just took a deep breath and said, 'Ok you want to talk about it?' He's fine; just seems as intrigued by the things people are capable of as I am.

Sea, You might want to delete that second link.....Ummm some unacceptable ads were displayed there. Just thought you should know....

Oh, Ok - I didnt see anything but trust you...The 'francesfarmer' one? would you go in your quote of mine and take it out then? I dont want to get in trouble for anything inappropriate!

No, no problem at all but that is strange. I had nothing but plain text and no pop-up blocks or anything else showing. Strange. But no, I dont want anything inappropriate coming from me! I removed it - Thank you.

NO problem Sea. I knew you'd want to know about it. When I clicked on it, my green bar at the bottom was going nuts loading images and there was an ad at the top with scantily clad young women! I immediately closed the window and am going to reset my puter. It was strange! Glad we nipped it in the bud! Thanks, wm

Thought about you and all Brittanee today. This is my first opportunity on today. I just caught up on all the posts. Great to learn about some of you --- feel like family :) Glad to see you all on here thinking about Britt.

I know it's most likely unrelated to anything here, but Britt's sister posted on her FB status today that she's very scared. Caught my attention since she usually has very happy-go-lucky postings.

I know this is a couple hours out from MB, but have not heard anything else about this "possible homicide of a white female, possibly in her 20's".

Have to wonder what family will get this devastating news. So sad and so often.

But is only about 1 hour and 20 minutes from McClellanville.

They found a "brand new van burned in the woods near Edisto, about 20 minutes away, but wouldn't say if it was related to the victim"

How can this keep happening? I sure hope someone is arrested and maybe they can tie at least some of these homicides together if they can get some forensic evidence and find Brittanee and the perps who took her in the process.

The van is a very striking similarity to the other victims. I hope LE looks to see if there are any connections.

The above article is completely off topic.....but I honestly read things like this and question if Brittanee will ever be found...if her killers will ever be brought to justice. I am SO GLAD we have the SLED agent on the case now! Based on what some others have said and the above article, I just think the new detective is our best possible shot at finding Brittanee.

I hope whoever did this one is found soon. It is starting to almost look like a serial killer is killing young white females down in that "general area". The reporter in this video interviewed a gentleman from the community where this female's body was found. He seemed genuinely sad that this has happened in his community. In a previous news article, as noted in my previous post they mention a "brand new van was found burned about 20 minutes from this area where the female's body was found". There was no identification with her. As noted by Rochester Girl, it is starting to show similarities to another case where the car of the white female was found burned a few miles from where her body was found. I know I should not be jumping to conclusions, but wonder where the T-clan were when this murder occurred. BTW, the news articles today state the sherriff says there are marks or indications on the body that make this a murder investigation. These are all my own opinions, especially just "wondering" about the T-clan but not accusing anyone. This needs to get solved quick and maybe, just maybe a link can be found to help find out what happened to Brittanee; i.e. fingerprints or something even in that van. Has a van been purchased or stolen recently down there? Hope forensics are done immediately and the scenes are not messed up.

This news is really disturbing to me, Strawberry. Could this be a serial killer targeting white women in these areas? Has the E. coast rapist moved south? Gosh I don't know what to think. I just wish for Britt to be found.

Another question. Is there anyone good with maps who could pinpoint all the locations where bodies were found, & the t. property, etc.? I am not good at that and just thought I'd ask because I'd be interested in seeing the proximity of locations.

All of you WS ladies who live in these areas, please be careful and aware of your surroundings.

BTW, Good morning everyone!
