even if these people do/ do not turn out to be drug dealers, it's going to be interesting to know how they came in contact with Brittanee.

Also interesting to know how they knew her "not directly". I also have been thinking about 3 well maybe 4 persons of interest. Whose the 4th the person who linked them directly? JMO

Drug experimentation is irrelevant, I think. Whether yes or no, it doesn't make her a bad person or invalidate her value. It doesn't mean she 'deserved' whatever end she met. It will be interesting to discover what, if any, relationship exists between the POIs and the rochester gang in MB. I firmly believe they know something, but in the interests of maintaining their image, they kept quiet.

I wonder why older kids would even want her along on the trip. It couldn't have been money; they were all from well to do surburbs and probably had plenty. I was not the most mature between ages 19-22, and I could not imagine wanting to go on vacation with someone so young along. Any thoughts?

Not sure if this was posted.She is a beautiful girl,I have not posted by I have read here.Her disappearance hits close to home.All parents of teens fear their teen might to what she did. I was a teen,we did things like this we knew we weren't out to do bad things.We just wanted to be on the beach and thought parents were just trying to ruin are fun.Even back then it was dangerous but I never thought someone would hurt me.Today there is so much a parent is aware of an teen also ,but what has not changed is a teen starting to seek independence.They just do not think it could happen to them.

They invited her because if they(19-22) wanted to party and do drugs they were over 18.If they got arrested buying drugs it would mean jail and a record.It just like when the older kids would hang with the younger ones and get them to steal candy or gum from the stores when I was a kid.

YES That exactly what I believe.Those kids were older then her,they probably made it sound like fun and she wanted to be included.Younger teens always want to hang with the "older crowd" She probably never even smoked pot! She was upset about the family breaking up and was thrilled the group included her.Poor girl thought they were friends she never suspected their motive for inviting her.Once they were down there I believe they told her she had to pick up pot or whatever they were into.Even if she did not want to,she felt she had to they might have said do it or get out, find your own way home.She lied to her mom, and she was far from home.I could see her not wanting to call her mom and confessing that she went and they only asked her along to be their gofer. She knew how upset her mom would be, plus she broke her trust maybe felt so stupid for thinking they really wanted her friendship.I think that is why the took off like they did because she never came back , and they all knew it was not good.Think about it,I believe some were in school getting a degree if they were busted it might wreck their future.The parents who were funding their future would know they did drugs.If she was caught it would be not hurt her future and she would get a slap on the wrist.She is beautiful she probably was afraid, she would have the gangs cash and I think whoever they sent her to was a predator.

True but older teens never wanted younger ones around,esp the girls they were always too jealous and would be mean and the older guys would say come back in a couple years.They were nicer but seemed to be afraid of me when I was a teen.Just was awfully funny how they reacted when she did not return.

Yep, in NY a 17yo can go wherever they want and LE and parents can't do anything about it. When I was a teen it was 15, not entirely sure what the lower limit is now, but 17 definitely.

It's not explicitly tied in with age of consent, it's more tied in with state laws on when they can quit school etc...

Yes, they might have had a connection and just sent her to pick it but the seller could have taken her.If they didn t know a person selling even just pot, they may have sent her out told her where she could hang out and asked around.She might have even said to a random guy I came down with friends and they sent me out to get pot,I should have listened to my mom. When she said no way but I lied she does not even know I am down here.Another wayif they demanded and fought her because she said no they might have kicked her out.Figuring she would come back and do what they asked.Where did she have to go,she was so far from home.She might have been upset and someone may have talked to her ,she may have said the above to him.Could have even been a young couple , they may have said come to our place and call your mom.

I am just thinking of how girls that age act when you are younger,how jealous they are when you are very attractive.Just thinking how It was when I was her age.Also it was the same way for my daughter girls and woman are even worse with her because even though I was attractive she is beautiful.One classmate when I was 14 use to always whisper and then laugh.It was directed at me.I tried to make friends with her so she would stop.I felt very insecure had no Idea how cute I was LOL till I was older.I knew her boyfriend ,he was a son of my mom's best friend but I had not seen him in like 3yrs.So I told her oh I know Gregg we used to play together all the time when we were kids.Tell him I said HI,as I walked away she laughed and said to her pal yeah I am sure he will be thrilled.A week later he knocked on my door he came to say hello.Then he told me how different I looked from the last time he saw me.He asked me out and I said sorry I have a boyfriend and you have a girlfriend.He said I will call her right now and dump her if you will go out with me.I told him thanks but no thanks I will keep my boyfriend who I married lol.I could not help myself the next day I waited till everyone was in the class room and went up to her desk and said very loudly would her boyfriend said and how he even tried to kiss me but I had to slap him.She was not laughing anymore.
We were inseparable till we were older then married ,sounded like I married him at 14 LOL I knew I would the first time we met it was weird.
