Just noticed the drug arrest was on 9/7/21, so 3 days after the shooting.
Wow! He didn't last long in the pokey! He is dead.
If AM hired Eddie Smith as a shooter in the double murder in Moselle, then AM practiced a form of subconscious self-sabotage in using Smith again as the perpetrator in his own fraudulent suicide.
It makes sense in a way though. You can’t just find someone willing to jeopardize their freedom in agreeing to a scheme like that.If AM hired Eddie Smith as a shooter in the double murder in Moselle, then AM practiced a form of subconscious self-sabotage in using Smith again as the perpetrator in his own fraudulent suicide.
I think he has to. Because if they charge him with attempted murder, that is much worse than 'assisting' someone with suicide. Will he turn on Alex for a plea?
Maybe the plan was never to kill him---AM never really wanted to kill himslf---maybe it was always just to be wounded and stage a shooting for sympathy from public. If the suspect is also responsible for the double murder, I have to wonder how he could be so accurate with the two unwilling victims, and so inaccurate with the willing victim.
we know SS was killed with a blue truck. And we know that CS has a blue truck. Coincidence?

The charging documents say that he did fire the gun, and did so at Alex’s direction. As such, the assisted suicide charge makes sense to me.I think I figured out why the charge is assisted suicide and not attempted murder. He didn’t actually attempt the murder. He backed out. He didn’t fire a gun or commit any violence. He was just in on the plot.
I still think Alex used the knife to make the head injury. Because SLED has the knife and said it “was tied to” AM. To me that means it has his DNA (blood) on it.
Naww what did SS do to earn the wrath of a hit man?If he was willing to set up this scenario to give BM a good life, I think this makes the SS death look more and more like it was a hit set up to get BM out of some trouble, and I think it's possible AM set that up with CES, too.
What was that other information or evidence found in the June 7 double murder investigation that was linked to SS's death?

Both were willing participants.
“Mr. Smith followed Mr. Murdaugh to Old Salkehatchie Road and shot Mr. Murdaugh as he stood in the roadway,” one of the probable cause affidavits noted. “After shooting Mr. Murdaugh in the head, Mr. Smith drove to an unknown location where he disposed of the firearm. Mr. Murdaugh survived the shooting and was transported to the hospital for treatment.”

Or it would benefit him in some way? Maybe close a door on other deeds? I don't know, just speculating.Don’t you think CS was paid a large sum for this assisted suicide attempt?
How did AM manage for a knife to give him a fractured skull? And, an entry and exit wound?
If a knife was used, then we've been lied to. I detest a liar, as has been previously stated.
One word that describes this entire thing to me: PATHETIC!! JMO YMMVA drug dealer who can't shoot straight or probably hit the side of a barn. Quite unique
We don't know if Maggie figured out he was on meth and that became a reason to get rid of her, but it was really Paul's death that relieved the financial pressure on AM with the hearing less than 3 days away.
Meth isn't subtle. It would be hard to cover up being a meth addict to your upper class spouse, I think.
