No, nothing strange on June 7. But very strange if, after the murders, your car is seen on surveillance camera in the Edisto area on June 7. Plus the logistics of driving a kidnap victim that distance. Was she bound? There would likely be signs of that on her body afterward. JMO.

Why would his car be at Edisto after the murders?

AM may not have used a gun or physical force to get MM to go with him to Moselle. He could have told her any number of lies to gain her willing compliance. Quieter and more efficient to lure someone in with honey than vinegar. e.g. He easily reeled in an unsuspecting CES to Salkehatchie Rd. through deception. People intent on heinous evil to protect their power, money and lifestyle can be cunning.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding. I wasn't saying that his car would be in Edisto after the murders. I was saying that under your scenario he could have been seen on surveillance cameras in Edisto before the murders (kidnapping per your scenario), but the surveillance tape placing him there at that time would only be seen/checked later -- during the post-murder investigation. The point being why is he in Edisto when he's supposedly in the hospital, napping, visiting his mother??? Anyway, I understand your theory. JMO.

Think you misunderstood my post. If PM was staying in the caretaker’s house, as some wondered, it was not to be near the kennels to care for dogs — I was saying if he lived in that second dwelling that could explain why he was in that area of the property when murdered.
Maybe AM thought PM was staying somewhere else that night, so he wasn't expecting anyone in that guest house close to the kennels?

I was thinking about the preparation for trial PM had probably being put through and he might have just told his Dad, I need a break from all this stress, I'm going over a friends? Maybe his Mom texted him that she was coming there to Moselle, did he want to come stay with her at the beach house?

Could have been why he wasn't shot with the AR? He was in the small house waiting for his Mom. She gets out of her vehicle, gets shot, PM comes running out with a shotgun in hand. Most probably one was kept in that caretaker house to protect the dogs, equipment, scare off any would-be vandals/thieves? There's a struggle with the killer and PM is overpowered and shot up close?

Just thinking outloud, just possibilities.

Is the only evidence about MM living at Edisto based on her FB update?

If so, that doesn't really mean anything, imo. They were wealthy, had multiple homes within an hour or two of each other, MM wasn't raising young kids anymore, and so on. I think many people who have the freedom to move (not tied down by work or school schedules) between their homes do so as whim, weather, or events dictate. Maybe there were certain months she like to be at the beach for the weather, or local cultural events, or meeting friends there, or whatever. I don't necessarily see it as indicative of her permanently moving there. And, I think sometimes people don't always update their FB locations in a timely manner either.

So, I guess I don't find it strange that she was at Moselle. It was also her home. (I don't think she was lured there or taken there against her will.)

Also, as I posted a couple of weeks ago, if the estimated time of death was 9 or 9:30pm, it would have been barely dark by then. So not as dark and sinister (in re: to the actual amount of light/day/evening/night) as some seem to think.

Just random thoughts and MOO, of course.

She was, it seems from today's news, seeing a divorce lawyer. I'm thinking they're the one who told her she needed a forensic accountant to find out just what monies they had to split up. I doubt she'd still be living with AM at Moselle, can't say she categorically wasn't but I doubt she was.

Senator Dick Harpootlian previously released a statement blaming this all on an opioid addiction, but he said in an interview with Live 5 Wednesday that Murdaugh has made progress.

We’ve spoken to him and he’s doing much better,” he said. “He’s not out of the woods. This is a decade or more long addiction issue, but he’s doing much better. Opioid addiction is just horrible. It’s killed so many lives and another life ruined—Murdaugh’s.”

I get that. But today was the first day there was actual confirmation she sought a divorce lawyer, right? Even so, people still cohabitate in unlikely circumstances and if she was trying to keep on the down low to not give AM a heads up too early, she may have still been staying in both houses at various times.

MOO

Eta: As they were also influential "movers and shakers" in the community, it's also possible that she continued to use both residences regularly to maintain appearances. Imo.

"The two men [Satterfield sons] went through several attorneys trying to find someone to take the case to reclaim their inheritance before they were led to Eric Bland.

[...]

Bland then goes into detail about what he says happened the day Gloria Satterfield was injured at the Murdaugh home.

"Maggie, his wife made the 911... She and both Paul spoke to the 911 operator and said that Gloria Satterfield had fallen outside of their the exterior stairs on their home. And so an ambulance was dispatched and when they came, she was on the ground and we're told by SLED that there was blood next to where she fell next to her head. She was then taken to a hospital in Savannah and then airlifted to a hospital in Summerville, South Carolina where she remained for three weeks until she died. She suffered a subdural hematoma, " says Bland."

If they had only owned one home I could see them cohabiting while divorcing. My friend actually did that, not by choice though, by necessity. But she had the beach house to live in and not have to deal with someone she wanted to divorce. Anything is possible though so they could have shared the two residences.

So very sad, her poor sons never being able to speak with her.

The fact that AM was probably involved in some dodgy financial dealings, (keeping money from the housekeeper's sons, maybe, probably there were more), that would not stand any investigation makes me think that he couldn't have been involved in the murders, at least for financial benefit. He must have known this would come out, and he would probably end up in prison. Such a stack of cards. I wonder what else will come out in time?

“Over the last 20 years, Smith has next to no criminal record,” Bouchette said of his client. “So that tells me one of two things: either he is the one of the most successful drug dealers that I have ever seen in terms of evading law enforcement, or, you know, he’s not a drug dealer.”

Murdaugh Murders: Curtis Smith’s Attorney Says Accusations Don’t Add Up In Alex Murdaugh ‘Shooting’

When asked where exactly Smith was told to go, Bouchette said he wouldn’t get into the specifics. He said Alex may have followed Smith for some period of time. Eventually they arrived at a spot (he didn’t say where) and they both stopped. Alex looked like he was going to shoot himself.

In SC, you have to live separately for 1 year before you can get a divorce. I just assumed that's what MM was doing at Edisto.

AM deeds moselle to MM Dec 2016

The holly st home sold on 5 1 2020

April 2021? MM sees lawyer

Jun 4th 2021 mediation

June 7th MM PM murdered

I don’t know what happened to the housekeeper, but I am pretty sure I know what happened to MM and PM.

I think the lawyer should have stopped talking rather than getting into that 2nd part.

AM following CES? Sounds more conspiratorial than set up to me… moo

I’ve thought for awhile now that MM was the main target but I have been trying to figure how MM was shot with the AR and PM with the shotgun, and assuming the shotgun was the Murdaugh owned weapon that was found. I couldn’t quite settle it in my head, but your scenario smoothes out the wrinkles really nicely I think. Plus, the “Paul, why did you have to get involved” that people hear on the 911 call makes sense too now.
