I cannot get past the fact that property had been transferred into her name within the week (in June 2021 prior to the murders on the 7th), and upon her death the property/assets went into an estate that would be probated, and possibly a trust depending on her will.
^^rsbm

This is incorrect. It was 2016 when for $5 and love and affection, the Moselle property was fraudulently transferred to MM.

The transaction was fraudulent because the property was collateral that had not been satisfied, and the transfer was simply to benefit AM. (i.e., SC's "fraudulent conveyance" statute).

However, since the transfer was not challenged until 2021, the court ruled the statute of limitations had expired and therefore, by default, the property was deemed owned 100% by MM.

But since MM's LWAT bequeathed all of her assets at death to her husband, AM, it was still a net zero game.

At death, MM's had $56 to her name, the Mercedes SUV, 100% interest in the Moselle property, and half interest in the Edisto property.

All of the property has since been sold and AM has not benefited one dime from MM's estate.

Except for about $500K that the Beach Family released from their claim for the benefit of Buster, the balance of the sales proceeds after banks, attorneys, court receivers, and estate costs were paid to the Beach family pursuant to the settlement agreement negotiated for Beach family vs the Estate of MM.

Do you have a link for this photo? Where did it come from?
It's a still from the body cam videos released today and being tweeted by usual reporters seen here.

I am sure I am not the only one that has considered that if AM really thought there were a murderer or murderers still out there he would have asked for security, been concerned for his own safety and BM's. He would have never been driving all over the state after the murders. He would have also been mentioning this throughout all of his interviews. He would have been focused on his own safety and Buster's instead his total focus was on his alibi. I hope the jury can step back and look at how an innocent person would react to this vs a manipulator.
He sure as heck would not have invited his brothers to the killing fields either. I can't accept the targeted revenge hit on Paul by unknown shooters. There were too many opportunities to ambush PM while he was in his truck going someplace. The boat wreck was in 2019. That's approximately 2 years worth of opportunities.

The way he behaved the next morning when he called Blanca and asked her to go to Moselle and tidy up because people would be stopping by bringing food. As if these were regular deaths from illness or something; not a double murder scene. Like the entire Murdaugh family would be gathering there to morn the passing of. Did anyone bring food? Did any of the town people come out there to offer condolences? What did Blanca say...he never stayed there again after that night so what was the point of tidying up like Maggie would have wanted it to look? jmo

They both were lured there that specific night. And the grounds keeper was off that night.
And how many people would know that? One to very few.

Man this is worse than the 1st interview at the crime scene. Lies on top of lies on top of lies. It's more about what he didn't say then what he said. He just rambles and rambles about absolutely nothing.

Question: How would anyone but Paul know that both Maggie and Paul were even going to be at Moselle that night???!!!! Blanca knew but I doubt she called a hit man to come out there that night. Even IF Paul's friends and Maggies friends knew they were going to be there that night, they would have what, told the person who was going to kill them that they were going to be there!!!! No way!! No one else knew they were going to Moselle that night but Alex.

Has always been a question as to motive. Who ultimately knows and why we can only surmise. I don’t know all of the facts or details of this case, but from observation it seems that the son was on the hook for the boat crash, and the wife would have been interested in all financial aspects as well. And with a younger / ‘underage‘ son things were heading to some place where accountability was coming into focus or play. It may not be that simple; but also might not be too complicated? MOO.
Sometimes it's as simple as a man who has built a life that he no longer values, who thinks the answer to his strong desire for a second go-around, free of the encumbrances of the first, is to kill off his family and appeal to the sympathies of those who believe him a victim.

Yes they were and what a perfect setting. Outside. Indoor crime scenes are filled with evidence and so much can be determined within that containment but outdoors, at a dog kennel, dirt everywhere (can't vacuum the ground for hair and fibers), bloody footprints easily scuffed over with a shoe, water hose nearby. IMO AM could not have caused this much disruption of a crime scene if they had been killed inside the house.

A few main reasons to kill Paul first

1) He's in an enclosed space--there's no room for him to run away. It's going to be quicker to kill him. The first time that gun goes off, the 2nd victim is going to be alerted and likely will start running so you want to get that 1st kill done as quickly as possible to reduce the 2nd victim's time to flee/react.

2) IMHO, between Paul and Maggie, Paul is the hunter type. If you kill Maggie first, Paul's reaction at hearing gunshots is more likely to be to go for a gun and go on attack (although naturally Alex would want to make sure that there were no firearms nearby for Paul to grab). And if there was a gun near him that Alex didn't know about, he'd likely be in a lot more danger from Paul with a gun than Maggie with a gun (I've seen all the photos of Paul hunting and not heard anything about Maggie participating).

3) Between Paul and Maggie, Paul is also the one more likely to have a faster "grab my phone and call 911" response time. Sure, you might think you see Paul put his phone in his pocket in order to do something in the feed room, but once you turn your back and decide to start with Maggie, you have no guarantee your phone addicted son won't have it back in his hand to send that video/check a text/etc.

4) Maggie is a mom, and by all account her boys were her life. If she hears a gunshot in the vicinity of Paul, whether she thinks there is a shooter or that Paul misfired a gun and hit himself, she's going to run TOWARDS HIM to take care of him. Not away. I suspect Paul would have much less of an instinct to run towards his mom--from where he was standing he would see the shooter was his Dad, he would see Maggie fall, and Paul would be likely to either try to make a run for the woods or to go grab a gun himself.

Has life insurance been sorted out (as to whether Paul and Maggie had any)?

Has life insurance been sorted out (as to whether Paul and Maggie had any)?

During testimony Feb 10, Mark Tinsley (lawyer for the Mallory beach family who was demanding Alex's financial info in the civil trial) testified that:

"9:48 a.m. – Defense begins cross-examination of Tinsley. Defense asks if there was any life insurance on Maggie and Paul. Tinsley says he doesn’t think there was a life insurance policy on anyone, including Murdaugh."

Does this family seem benevolent to you? if some random contractor spread accelerant and started a fire that endangered the family…son, grandchildren…and you were the ultimate power in that area…would the charges just….go away?

Compare that with the immediate intervention at the hospital after the accident…barging into treatment rooms. MM and RMIII swanning past the dead girls family to get what they needed at the crime site.

MM knows nothing…but knows “the Mexicans” need to upgrade Edisto, because AM needs a big loan.

BM gets booted out of law school but no worries…they can get Somny back in…ahhh…somehow.

RM the brother is Johnny on the Spot when SS dies…is he always so accommodating? Or do the Murdaughs need fingers in the pie during the investigation? How wonderful that the police were ignored and the coroner rules…oops an accident with a truck mirror.

How lovely that PM is photographed in his fashionable wardrobe during his mug shot. And isn’t everyone charged with killing a girl while drunk…allowed to “.go where they wanna go, do what they wanna do…”

And here they are..lthe most expensive lawyers in SC…aligning their reputations with the M family.

As they should…as WELL they should.

My opinion only.
bravo-- love the closing!

We have to be curious about this. Does the law firm not have life insurance on one of their top producing partners? I find this unbelievable. And wasn't his fake suicide a way to collect on a multi million dollar policy?

There's something that isn't making sense to me about that sunflower field story. According to AM, Paul was there that night because that week he was going to rework the sunflower field that CB had ruined because they were going to have a HUNT there the coming weekend (6-12-13). I don't recall if the seeds were poisoned or ruined some other way. If Paul managed to replant the field, the plants would not have been germinated and sprouted by the weekend so the quail would not be in that field. They could have hunted other small game, rabbit, squirrel, fox, raccoon or they could have had hunted hogs but what difference would it have made to that type of hunt if the field was replanted. IMO the sunflower story is BS but AM seemed to feel he needed to have a ready reason for Paul to be there.

It's long been the position of the defense that there was no life insurance and if the prosecution had any evidence to the contrary, you can bet it would already be in evidence. JMO

Yes second by second he could see what he did to Paul.

I don't think he meant for there to be a second shot let alone do to the back of his head like it did. He wasn't prepared for that.

I keep reminding myself how he lured them both there.
And Paul saw his own father shoot him. The last thing he saw.

With all of those guns and all of the hunting AM couldn't at lest take them out with one shot each that they were not expecting? Nope! Not only that but both PM and MM saw him shooting at them and close contact injuries.
That is sick as hell.

And now we know where Bubba was. Did Bubba put himself in the kennel?

Yes, sounded odd. Thought I heard testimony that they blamed CB Rowe for putting roundup or somenting else on the sunflowers or nearby. Anyway, was Paul supposed to to pull dead half grown flowers and re-plant? I don't know. But when was he going to do it? Did he do it when he and AM were riding around around the time of the tree video or did he not do it? If they were all at the kennels at around 8:45pm, that is close to sun down. Basically too late for field work. JMO.

Up close and personal. Personal being the important word there.
Only three feet away with a shotgun and a high velocity rifle.
It was personal. No stranger with a vendetta would shoot MM five times up close with a 300 Blackout.

I believe the replanting of the sunflowers in "Dove field" was that it might be ready by fall which is when doves, pheasants, quail, etc. are generally hunted, and not in June. For example, the 2022 Dove Season was Sept - Jan.

IMO, hunting in June would more likely be rabbit or PM's favorite -- wild boars.

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Sunday marks the start of dove hunting season in South Carolina.

According to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Mourning Dove hunting season is September 3 through January 31.
