If it is related to the victims, maybe we can narrow it down from what we know. Victims:
  • Owner
  • Account Specialist
  • Maintenance Supervisor
  • Adam: not listed on the website as one of "our team"
Do we know what Adam did? Were the married couple (account specialist and maintenance supervisor) known to be arriving at the time of the murder, or was that speculation?

If all four were targeted, maybe someone had maintenance issues that ran into the thousands of dollars, the maintenance supervisor decided is was the tenant's fault, the account specialist charged extra fees for the maintenance, and the owner condoned the decision?
Going back to the reviews of the company on their FB page, most of the negative reviews and in some cases, nasty comments, are due to maintenance or lack of maintenance issues. Strangely one negative review I noticed and commented on earlier, is now missing. It was answered by RJR as to trying to resolve it but having no record of the person ever being a client. All IMO

Glad you found the reviews and are monitoring them. The info could come in handy later, perhaps.

IMO - 'No risk to the public' is indicative that LE know what went down in this case.. The burning question is where is the 'smoking gun'. That's what I suspect LE are searching for and will await recovery, before calling the crime for what it is. This may as much relate to local police procedure as anything else, imo.

So who left the premises after the crime; caught on cctv in a company vehicle. Someone wanting to remove the evidence for their own agenda perhaps... Make a martyr of one of those deceased perhaps...

I wish I'd made note of the one I referenced as having complained and was responded to as not being a client. I can't find it now, as I said, and did find it curious then. Maybe not curious enough to suspect the person, but it caught my interest as there really are not too many negative reviews there. And this person's negative comments were not specific to anything, while others mention the service, or the maintenance, or, strangely, the entering of some of the rented units by RJR employees without notifying the renters. One woman had a note put in her file to be called first and start chaining her door so no one could come in when she was home. Too strange. IMO

I have a feeling that AF might have been killed earlier, perhaps even on Sunday, since he might not be arriving at work with the boss and the senior staff to open the office early Monday morning. JMO

(Throwing a lot of things out there.....)
That is yet another possibility to consider. I keep coming back to the idea that the killer was in the building before people arrived to work on Monday morning, which means the perp was there in the early hours of the morning or during the night before. I'm also considering there might have been more than one person.

Basically, every idea is on the table. I was thinking we'd get some sort of info today, but nope.

“This was very specific to the victims that were involved," the chief said. "There was nothing at the crime scene that would lead us it believe that anyone outside the victims involved are in any danger."

'We just don't have answers': Mystery surrounds killing of 4 people at North Dakota business

But was there something left to make the chief lean toward the thinking that no one outside the victims is in danger?

Since there isn’t a direct understanding of motive, I doubt there was some kind of manifesto left or delivered.

I know the pressure is on to solve this and provide info to the media, so there may be clumsiness on the kind of information released because the investigative team truly can’t reveal too much at this point but want to/have to say something. IMO.

I have a big problem with some who comment on business sites.

I've known very reputable business owners who have had negative comments, and most weren't even customers, and never had been. One owner I know was so upset about them because they had no clue who they really were.

Turns out someone called them, and told them it was being done by a competitor.

They also found a few of them were being done by local internet trolls, and other companies had been hit by them as well.

That is why I don't go by reviews or comments for a local business found on the internet.

Some are just so damn mean, and try to ruin someone's good reputation like it's a game, which it is to many.

Local word of mouth by friends or family, who you know has actually done business with them is the best way to go imo.

Imo

Murder/suicide is off the table.

It is however possible the killer is one of the 4 deceased. Perhaps someone fought back, killing them but still succumbed to their own injuries.

I totally agree. Bad reviews really can damage a business and it's so unfair to be at the mercy of anonymous people on the internet. It feels barbaric sometimes.

That is another possibility. I do think those men in the group would have fought an attacker, even knowing it was their last fight.

How many possibilities do we have now?!

Mandan Police are opening a 24/7 tip line.

Police say they have opened lines to allow citizens and witnesses to report potential tips in the RJR Maintenance and Management homicide case.

The phone lines will be manned 24 hours a day.

Callers are able to make anonymous tips as well.

The phone number is 701-667-3220

The line will remain open for the foreseeable future.

You can also use the tip411 program as well.

To submit an anonymous tip, download the Bismarck Police Department app, visit

https://www.tip411.com/tips/new?alert_group_id=21828 or text RJR and your tip to 847411

My opinion: This is not great news. No reason to do this if you have a solid case against a suspect.

You are right about many reviews...And I thought the same thing with the person that I mentioned already. He had no specific complaint other than to make a nasty remark.

However, these reviews (positive and negative) are pretty specific and are also addressed by RJR personally an individually. AND they answered again by the reviewer. In many cases the issue was resolved and then there are compliments and thanks. These aren't only reviews but also seem to be conversations between the reviewer and the company. Even the positive ones are commented on by RJR and a interaction between the individuals ensues. In no other instance did RJR question the validity of the poster and always tried to resolve whatever problems were being brought up.

Reviewers also mention certain employees by name - either to compliment, thank or complain, including the guy whose name appears on the page. I tend to believe these are actual clients. The reviews go back to at least 2015 as well and remain on the company's FB page. Even the negative ones.

Responding to my own post.

Then you have LE asking area businesses for their surveillance videos, then there’s the truck seen leaving the business on video. My theory seems way less probable now.

Ita!

It is barbaric just like they wanted it to come across.

Unfortunately it's getting worse. Imo, so many in our society live to hurt someone else.

It's become a blood sport pastime for many.

These reviewers are definitely not anonymous. Full names and often the location of where they are renting are posted. One negative commenter posted photos of the issues going on in his apartment. RJR responds back and thanks them for their compliments and business...or asks them to come in and discuss the issues that are posted as complaints. In one case it sounds like they've have phone conversations and have been unable to resolve the problem, and in this case they refer the customer to their attorney.
