I would agree, unless he rolled each victim over before strangulation. Someone on their stomach, pinned down by a large person, might not really have a chance to effectively fight back.

In that regard I'm torn. One part of me hopes they did fight back, as it might provide evidence that could be used in a conviction. The catch to that is the horrific thought of what each victim endured. I actually prefer to think that woman and her children endured as little trauma or suffering as possible during the actual event.

If CC is guilty, the thought of what he boys were thinking as their dad committed that crime almost makes me want to vomit and never come to a site like this again. Honestly, it is difficult to discuss.

There's been much we've seen that we can only classify as {rumor}, but there was someone on the local news blog that stated that Sheri and the oldest boy (I believe), had some head trauma as well as strangulation. IF that's true, I don't know.

I would HOPE that LE took DNA samples from underneath each victim's nails. I could totally understand Sheri having the husband's DNA under her nails. However, IMHO, if each of the victims have a high concentration of the dad's DNA under their nails, well...............it COULD be part of the puzzle.

also on st louis board poster says they were all found face down.

I guess because the killer couldnt satnd to look at them , doesnt that indicate someone who was close to them?

I also saw on the STL board that Sheri's body was covered with a sheet with the writing of FU on it. It was on a comments section as well.

Greetings all,

SuziQ, thank you for finding the information on the burial. Based on what has been happening, and what this all looks like -- I am saddened to think how it all is that this was so lonely an entry to the ground. I cannot imagine what Sheri's family members in Chicago might feel seeing the pictures on that webpage. Sheri, Gavin and Garrett deserved so so so much more. I can only hope that this will be rectified soon.

I can't imagine the pain that family members on both sides of this are feeling.

ITA - that is why I posted the Utube video. It was the most disturbing thing I have ever seen to watch his brother embrace and strangle that deer ON FILM. I hope the police were able to determine through family members whether or not it was Chris doing the filming. I have nothing against hunting, all of my kin-folk in PA hunt. Why would someone think to film this act of brutality, no matter how necessary it was to put the creature out of it's misery? A depraved mind? Oh yes.

I am sure the ME took clippings of each victims fingernails.

If they were strangled then it is just a normal reaction that a victim will grasp the hands of the perp with their own hands trying to loosen their death grip. Although he could have used a ligature of some kind where he could distance himself from being right up at them.

I remember Gary Ridgeway said it took him 60 seconds to strangle his victims.

I could believe this rumor. It is difficult to sort out fact from fiction on those boards tho.

I watched the video stating LE was staking out the Coleman parents' house and I think there is more to it than applying pressure to Chris. They don't use that many detectives to keep an eye on someone when they could be out in the field tracking down leads. I believe it is significant to show that kind of presence. Maybe the arrest is going to come sooner than I expected.

I had read that somewhere (here, or STL PD site), but never checked out the video. Sounds pretty sick to me. I don't hunt, and don't have anything against those who do, but that seems pretty extreme to me.

Coleman sees family buried, heads south

Chris Coleman watched his wife and sons being buried Wednesday morning and then headed south on Interstate 55 with a group of police detectives following him.

Coleman was on I-55 passing through Cape Girardeau, Mo., at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with police following him at a distance and at normal highway speeds.

Early Wednesday morning three unmarked police cars and a sport utility vehicle full of detectives were staked out around the house in Chester where Chris Coleman has been staying since his wife and two sons were strangled.

Hi everyone!

I'm new to posting about this case, but I've been reading this thread and I can't believe we don't even hear that much about this in Chicago.

I can't get over how LE is following him like how they are. In my opinion, they obviously know more than we do and are putting the heat on him big time!! If they had another suspect in mind, there is no way so many detectives would be following him everywhere he goes.

All IMO.

I couldn't watch that video but I have heard of this before. While I think the guy was plain stupid for not having a knife on him especially when he was bow hunting, I do realize a wounded deer is a formidable enemy and hunters have been attacked and killed by them.

Whomever videoed it was an idiot too but I think they wanted to video it in case the brother got hurt by the deer and they would have it on film. Sick? Yes, but people make sickening videos all the time.

Ok, now that's just weird.

Reminds me of the OJ/white Bronco thing.

It is a bit reminiscent of OJ and the Bronco, isn't it?

Maybe Chris was headed back to the gym for another workout or he is out looking for that one armed man who murdered his wife and children.
