Seriously, IMO CC is just another person who didn't want to have any financial responsibilities that would come with divorce and spousal/child support, and thought he could get away with murder.

All this intrigue is spin. He's another narcissist like Peterson and he'll end up the same way.

I love the voice of reason! Just another dumas who thinks they are smarter than everyone else, thinks they covered all bases and were going to get away with murdering his entire family.

another rumor on the STLtoday comments board...

Sheri's family is in the area... They asked for access to the Columbia house and were turned down by the Coleman family.

This info supposedly came from KTVI Fox news on Saturday. I personally did not see the news yesterday to confirm this info but more than one person over there say they saw it also on the news.

My thoughts below...

It sounds like they went to Columbia PD to find out how to get access to the home and maybe a call was made to the Coleman's in Chester, IL.

I think Columbia PD let the family know that they have no rights to anything in the Columbia home since Sheri's name was not on the deed/title. The only way Sheri's family is going to get anything of Sheri's is if CC agrees to it.

Next thing you know, we'll be hearing those infamous words, "We want those".

A few streets away, a gaggle of little girls on pink bicycles rode in wobbly lines along the sidewalk. I've caught up here (as best I could) and I believe that this guy is a controller, verbally, and emotionally abusive. I believe that if/when financial documents are released, we are going to find that he was the only person who took care of the bills. If there are any credit cards, he is the one who held them, used them. If SC had credit cards, I have no doubt she was careful as how she used them. And, they were not for herself. The house was not in her name...changed to only him a few months ago. None of the cars were in her name. Only his. I think the reason we have not heard from any of her friends is that she didn't have any. Save for speaking with her Mother on the phone and casual conversations, she was alone. I would like to know if there is three life insurance policies out there. I would like to know when their mail came, what time of day, and if SC was the one who received those threatening letters out of the mailbox, or was it the husband. They did not have to be placed in the mailbox as I think this "guy" could have pulled it off very easily. It would not be that complicated, really.

I believe there was a fight, he went into a total rage, and murdered SC first. The two boys were after the fact. I know I'm just typing away here. Head is full of thoughts. No more coffee for me!

Sure I sleep. I will sleep sometime later today.
I have no kids at home... no grandkids... and all the sleep I need is about 5 to 6 hours.
I am usually doing house chores between posts.

I completely agree with you. Just to inject a thought, though. Sherri may have had a large group of friends, but was she told what kind of friends they really were by CC? How close could she truly be with them on a one to one level? I truly wonder how much freedom she had to nurture such friendships that CC would not have had an issue with. This is not to take away from her, I promise! But, I do know that over time those relationships can be sabatoged by a controlling person. Especially if there is jealousy involved and continues to turn greener over time. I believe this could have been CC's pattern. Add in the little guys...that tells me sooo much about this "man".

The c/o can mean two things:

When donating you include whom you are wanting to also be recognized as "giver" (or in memory of)

It can also mean that your donation can be specified to whom you want it to go to and the c/o is another party that sees that the donation is delivered to the charity.

Example:
If I donate $25 and I want it go to the American Red Cross in memory of the Coleman family, the c/o means that while "I am attending" the service for the Coleman family that I can leave my donation check made out for the American Red Cross in memory of the Coleman Family with the Grace Church and they will forward it to the American Red Cross for me.

Grace Church acts as a intermediary with my donation.

Care of, usually abbreviated as c/o on envelopes, signifies an intermediary who is responsible for transferring a piece of mail between the postal system and the final addressee. For example when the addressee has no standard address, is under a corporate mail system, or is being manually forwarded mail sent to a more accessible location.

This shows to the family that I did make a donation in memory of the Coleman family.

A private funeral service will be held, with Pastor Mike Shepard and Pastor Phil Stern officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Chester. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Grace Church Ministries in Chester.

Memorials may be made to the family's choice, C/O Grace Church Ministries.

I wanted to add to this...

If that one person who was presented as sole suspect by LE was not Chris Coleman then you have to ask yourself why isn't LE clearing Chris and saying that he is not the single person they are focusing on. I mean if LE knew Chris was fully innocent then someone in LE would speak up for him in some way. They would point out that this is a man who is morning for his family and that the media and public are looking in the wrong direction to help take the heat off of Chris. Also LE would come up with a reward fund asking for more info from the public if they were at a stand still of who this one person was if they didn't know where to find him.

This is the first mention I have heard about recent activities of the family. If the family was camping right before the murders, where did they camp? Did the situation of Miss Motive surface while on the camping trip? It also makes me wonder if this trip was in his initial plan to murder his family and for some reason he didn't go through with it in the woods.

If they were separated or on the verge of separation...why would Sheri want to spend the weekend with him on a camping trip? The last place I would want to be is in a cabin or a tent with my soon to be ex if I knew he had a mistress. Makes no sense.

Now then... If Chris used a box intended for US Mail to put phony threat messages into, would that be considered "tampering with the mail" and be a reason for the FBI, perhaps, to get all over this thing along with other LE agencies?

I think the FBI came on board to offer assistance as they normally do in such a case. The MCS, fortunately, stepped in to the lead role in the investigation because of the limited experience of the smaller agency.

If LE found the threats were criminal (which they have stated they did not determine if a crime was committed) and involved tampering with the mail, the US Postal Service would be investigating the threats, imo. They have their own specialized task force to deal with such things (with the help of the FBI).

This exactly where I'm coming from. NPD. I just didn't want to "say it" out loud yet. One of the reasons I was going out there posting about possible homelife. Many people are not aware of what this type of personality can do to a person/family. It can be so very insidious. I think this may be a possible background regarding the murder of this family.
