Annie Lennox posted something on her facebook page not long ago with respect to the trend towards plastic surgery, cautioning people to think before acting on it, given the obvious results which are not always flattering.

Much as I lament some of the changes in my face as I close on the 60 year mark, I accept that my face has continued to change throughout my life. The face of a one year old is very different from that of a seven year old or a thirteen year old. Would I trade some of those awkward stages for what I have now? I don't think so. And I do marvel at the grand scheme of nature which is programmed to make humans at peak of physical attraction during their most fertile years. This ensures survival of the species.

The aging process means that I can no longer see without glasses and my vision problems cannot be corrected by contact lenses. Surgery would not correct vision problems completely, nor would I take the risk unless my vision was threatened and glasses could not correct the problem. I don't like the way that my eyelids have drooped, hooding one eye, but not the other. Eye makeup is difficult to apply when one cannot see and with the now assymetric eyes, make up no longer enhances the eyes.

In spite of smoking for so many years, my skin has held up fairly well. Just as a toddler has baby fat in his face, I am losing the muscle tone in my neck, which is another giveaway to my age.

Still, that face I see in the mirror is me, and I think I'll keep it that way!

Hey all! :seeya: Yep, second date last night. Sunday night was awesome. We went to see The Conjuring...holy crap batman. Scary! Then we went over to a bar and grill, had some munchies and a few drinks. After that we walked around the pond and sat and talked. It was pretty great He walked me to my car and gave me a big 'ol smooch.

Last night we meet at a sports bar and just sat and talked. And then we kissed a little We seem to have quite a bit in common so far! He's an RN and has some pretty wild stories to tell. I'm a little apprehensive about his "kid situation" though. He has 3 kids, ages 10, 8, and 5. That doesn't bother me in the least, but he doesn't want any more kids (and can't, actually). That gives me pause, I'm not sure how I feel about that.

So, all in all I'm having a good time. So far, so good! lease:

I am so very glad to hear that the dates went well. Just be careful with your "heart". The kid situation bothers me. So, think about that very carefully before you fall head over heels because that is very important subject. Anyway glad you enjoyed yourself and are getting out and having fun. Just a little loving advice. Please stop looking at every date as a potential husband and life partner. Enjoy the ride, getting to know new people and just having fun. I suggest you don't spend too much time with only this guy but date a few instead. When its right, you will both know it. The only deal breaker for dating should be you do not put up with being treated poorly.

Does anyone know if there's a Richard Chrisman thread started at WS? I searched yesterday and couldn't find one, it's Juan's next trial (slated to begin tomorrow) and is also supposed to be live streamed. JSS had been the judge but I read that at the pre-trial hearing held yesterday another judge will be trying the case. Can't find any new info on MSM, you'd think after all the attention JM has received recently there would be plenty of news about his next, but not really.

I'm so happy to hear that your dates are fun. Please take it slow and remember that you are an important person and hold yourself in high regard.

Anyway- it's just dates right now and you're not so deep in the relationship (if you can call it that right now- it's too new.). Even if he will not be "the one", it's nice to have some fun.
I have some questions (even if it's still too soon)- as my mother would ask me :floorlaugh::
Is he married? If not, how long has he been separated/divorced?
What is he looking for (maybe he had a bad experience and doesn't want a commitment?)- maybe he wants a "friends-with-benefits" relationship?
Remember that your "benefits" are held in high regard by you and you don't just want to give it away to just anyone :blushing:.

This is funny. I'm always hoping to win the lottery. I never win anything. I enter this contest, and that contest, and I win nothing. I finally won something, and what is it? A Samsung Galaxy tablet computer. Like I can afford another data plan when I have two teenagers :floorlaugh:.

I have a galaxy tab and just use the wifi off my computer. No plans other than my regular internet. I love it and have become addicted to angry birds.

I mentioned it upthread, it's supposed to begin tomorrow, TD's say they will have the live stream link but I can't even pull up an article on yesterday's pre-trial hearing at azcentral, not sure who is broadcasting the stream but will link if I find it.
