My mother would iron her sheets, too. I think that was because, back then, sheets were not "permanent press" and were very wrinkled when they came out of the dryer. My mother also ironed dish towels, undershirts and underwear (her mother ironed socks :floorlaugh:- I draw the line on socks :scared. My mother said she wanted her clothes drawers to look nice and organized (as if everyone was going to look in them :floorlaugh:- "what would the people say" was her motto).
I'm the same as my mother now (I'm turning into my mother as I get older:giggle
, God love her and rest in peace.
This is so sweet. There are things I do now in my daily life and I think to myself "Ugh...I'm turning into my mother."
