My parents always had music going. They sang and danced; my father playing his guitar, and my mother on her piano. My dad taught my brother (to play at twelve, and my brother taught himself to play the piano, the fiddle and the mandolin. Every Saturday night he'd come play guitars with my brother. You could depend on "Please Release Me", "Walking The Floor, and Hello Walls". I have a great admiration for those that play and I love watching a good guitar player.
I've always loved this song. Close you eyes and do the Texas Two Step.

He started a band, like to so many at the time, and won an audition to play on Mr. Peppermint. Their "song" was to be Wine Wine Wine. He's had and been in several over the years. He won best keyboardest one year, and did play out of state until 2005.
That was the worse year of our life. Something every month, and in June he played on a cruise ship out of Corpus Christie. He said he started feeling bad and was glad the set was over. He was hoping laying down would help, but it didn't and the doctor was with him till the ship got back to shore two hours later. He had a mild heart attack and had a stent inserted and is fine. He stays close by because he said he never wants his son to go through bringing him back to Texas.
My Uncle Benny died that September. It was getting almost to hard to take; you wondered what would be next, and if you have the strength to face it.
OK wake up now and think of the good times back then.
