We got 8" of snow which does not sound like a lot compared to the feet of snow a lot of you got. We have had more snow this past fall to now than we have had in years. It is 12 degrees in the sun and the windchill makes it -5. Great day to clean up my huge mess of a room.

Ricki, your husband sounds so talented. I have always wished I had that artistic talent to do carpentry. My husband loves to do it but never has time. My house is just one unfinished project . Hope all of you are staying warm. :seeya:

He is talented but our house never has a finished product by him. When he has work, he does beautiful work. He has received many compliments from customers. He put in kitchen cabinets in our house but never put up the crown moldings, which are sitting in the garage, and it has been about 8 years. LOL We have a skylight in the roof, but it was never cut into the ceiling, so no light comes in it. Gotta love it. Ugh

I am going to make Lasagna today. My sister and BIL are coming over tomorrow with another couple. I have meatballs cooking and OMGosh, there are about 36 of them.

It stopped snowing and it seems we only received 1 1/2', but it's really cold.
I'm waiting for my handyman to come plow out the driveway so my son and I can go out.

Zuri- My house has too much clutter. I've been slowly downsizing all my "treasures" :floorlaugh: and it's been a hard thing to do.

Neesaki- I love TCM- one of my favorite channels.

I'm ready and would seriously consider it! There's nothing holding me here except a medical clinic. What kind of medical plans are there?

from what I read at WAT - 42mins ago - another hearing January 13th - so far nothing from the courtroom on today's hearing.


I'll be watching the Olympics lympics: from Sochi, how about you all?? I like almost everything about the Winter Olympics! Hopefully will be able to see most of the events. I'll be rooting for Latvia (of course!) they will compete in the Bobsled (2 & 4-man), Luge, Skelton (I think? ) and of course Ice Hockey!!! And will be rooting for the good ole' U.S. of A.!! :cooler: where the Latvians aren't competing!

What do you like to watch? :gathering:

I can't download GOT because it uses too much "bandwidth" - usage :banghead: (according to my son)- whatever the heck that is. I'll just have to find out what happens from people who watch it.

Are you taking all your things to Riga when you move- I mean car, furniture, etc.?

I like to watch the figure skating when I can- such beautiful costumes, music, and just very graceful.

It's -6 degrees here and I have to watch my faucets now because the pipes will freeze and I don't want them to burst. This afternoon, the faucets were running slow again and then just stopped running water for a while, so every 2 hours or so, I run the water. I don't know if I should stay awake all night to keep an eye on the faucets??? :scared:

Oh, I made the lasagna for tomorrow night. This way I don't have to rush and be exhausted when company arrives. I will just have to put it in the oven to cook. Tonight, I had a turkey burger with avocado, mayo and mustard.
