Marie wasn't the only one; MaryBeth Tinnings killed eight of her babies in a span of eighteen years.
Waneta Hoyt murdered five of her babies;

Kenisha Berry 's four day old baby boy was found in dumpster in a black plastic bag and duct tape covering his mouth , she then d tossed him into the bin, where he died of suffocation.
Gilberta Estrada hanged herself and her 5 ,3 ,2, and eight month old daughters in a closet in their mobile home. The eight month old little girl survived.
Paula Marie Sims gave birth to three children, only her son born in early 1988 lived. In 1986 Paula claimed, that while she watched television, a masked gunman entered her home, made her lie on the floor, and fled with her 13-day-old daughter Loralei Marie. Her remains were found by authorities in a wooded ravine behind their rural Brighton, Jersey County home.
On April 29, 1989, Paula reported while taking out the garbage, a masked gunman ordered her into the house, before knocked her unconscious. When she awoke her 6-week-old daughter, Heather Lee, was gone. Initially the incident was treated as a kidnapping but Paula had no injuries and the crime scene didn't match what she claimed. Paula kept Heather in the freezer, before dumping her in the garbage. Several days after the abduction was reported Heather's remains were found in a park trash receptacle. The garbage bag holding Heather's body was manufactured within seconds of and by the same machine as the bags found in the Sims' home. Both babies were "kidnapped" while her husband worked the nightshift,
Then there is Genene Jones, The number of babies she murdered will never be known for sure, but it has been speculated that Jones may have murdered almost 50 helpless infants dating back to the beginning of her nursing career in 1977. In 1985, Jones was sentenced to 99 years in prison for killing 15-month-old Chelsea McClellan with succinylcholine. Later that year, she was sentenced to a concurrent term of 60 years in prison for nearly killing Rolando Jones with heparin. She will be scheduled for mandatory release in 2017 due to a Texas law to prevent prison overcrowding, but today she was up for parole and it was denied.
This doesn't list Diana Downs, Susan Smith, Darlie Routier, and many others. I do not count Andrea Yates, She was most definitely mentally ill.
Many of the murdered were Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome.
