What's really undeniable, is that if this trial had actually BEEN tried in the media, CMJA would already BE on death row.
The argument that it hurt the defense is total BS. The live coverage did nothing but prevent some not so savory witnesses to show their faces, and a few "experts" to get knocked off their pedestals...........which was a "good thing".
That being said, I think there should be a criteria in which networks can categorize their programs: NG, JVM, and their ilk shouldn't EVER be considered "responsible journalism" or MSM. It's "ENTERTAINMENT", it's NOT "reality", it's not "truth", it's a highly opinionated, not entirely accurate, ratings grabber. They're like "infomercials" and should have a disclaimer at the bottom of their programs.
How many times, throughout the CMJA trail, did HLN "anchors" misrepresent what was said on the stand just minutes after it was said? And this "HLN after Dark"......talk about some lame hosts, jurors and re-enactments. I watched 2 of them, the shelf in the closet and the "how did she kill Travis"..........common sense went out the window.
Irresponsible reporting. CMJA was not a "beauty", she was an unemployed, social climbing waitress. How many times could snippets of that stupid sex tape be played? Was that REALLY that pivotal in this case? Or the cheesy pics of CMJA in a t-shirt?
I really wonder if CMJA has her panties in a bunch now because there ISN'T going to be live coverage? Being the narcissist that she is, she just lost her world wide stage. You know that's got to chap her hide. Sheriff Joe's got a "No Interviews" rule on her so she just got her "face time" totally eliminated.
Yep, "What's a girl to do?"
