I thought of missy going to Perryville today. What is she going to experience there and for how long- the rest of her life or, after possibly receiving the DP, for maybe 12 years 'til she is put to death?
I feel kind of numb after doing some research this afternoon; not because of what I found out about what her conditions might be, but because this research led me to people who are already sentenced to death/prison and some of their feelings about what they did.
I was looking for some reasons why they murdered and, maybe, some inkling of remorse from them- some semblance of a human being there. I didn't find the remorse, at least not from the few Ytube's that I viewed (except from Fredrick Baer in the Indiana State Prison, IMO-
Interview with a Death Row Prisoner). I wish I could watch more, but because of my BW, I can't. Right now I feel so numb with how some of these people murdered their victims that I'm kind of glad, in a way, that I'm limited on my BW- if you can understand that. I need a break from these people (if they even are "people", IMO). I cannot relate to them in any way and I still don't understand why they needed to murder someone.
Anyway, here's what I found about conditions on Death Row in Perryville- if anyone is interested:

Will life be a box of cherries and Commissary Snacks for Arias????
(I didn't really like this article so much because of the digs to Sheriff Joe. Hey- jail/prison is not suppose to be a resort and if you broked the law- no matter what it was- you need to pay, is what I'm saying. I don't care what kind of life you had, you still need to follow the rules of life that other people follow, IMO. That's what makes our lives civilized. I just know that God will judge me very harsely when it's my time because I tend to judge harsely when it comes to crime, but that's OK because I try to be a good person in everything in every way and I do have compassion for people. We're all fighting the fight in life, but make sure it's the "good" fight. Anyway- sorry but I tend to go on and on and I guess I'm angry right now after watching these people talk.)
"...But life inside a maximum-security prison is not all hard times and labor. In fact, some prefer the maximum section of the prison. It is here that one is allowed their own TV and sometimes Internet. No mass TV room, no waiting but no privacy from the guards either. It really is life in a fishbowl. But, for a narcissist like Arias, this will suit her perfectly..."

Debra Milke’s 23 Years of Hell on Earth
"...Perryville has no air conditioning for the inmates, only evaporative coolers that can’t keep up with the sweltering summers. Milke is limited to three showers per week and had to decide to sleep on the concrete floor where it’s cooler or in her sweat filled bunk....
Her life is absolutely solitary confinement. She sees staff members at meal times when her food is delivered. She is chained up like an animal whenever she leaves her cell for visits or exercise...."

This Is Where Jodi Arias Will Be Executed If Sentenced To Death – All The Details On Her Final Days
"...would spend 23 hours a day in a cell on death row at Perryville state prison....The cell where Arias would spend the rest of her life is 12 feet by 7 feet, 2 inches...will not be allowed contact with any other prisoner and her cell would have only a toilet, sink, bed and mattress... taken to exercise outside for two hours, three times a week...will be allowed to shower only three times a week and the visitation rules are highly restrictive with no contact allowed...."

Just some thoughts: :blah:
Your life is your own fault. Why can't people say,“I made this mess, it’s my fault.” It’s so easy to blame others for our problems and this is especially the case when you are in jail, I might imagine. We all make mistakes but the most important thing is to own the mistake, take responsibility for it, apologize for it and learn from it so you don’t do it again.
Your past is your fault, but so is your future. I believe that everything that happens has a lesson in it for us and it is our responsibility to learn the lesson so we don’t have to repeat it. I am a strong believer in jail and prison and punishment. I believe that all actions have consequences and that jail/prison is the correct consequence for many bad behaviors. None of these women/men get a pass from me.

So how did you spend your afternoon?
