BBM I think I will follow that trial also. I'm not going to follow the Cooper trial because after Teghan's, I just don't want to follow anymore children's death trials. :(

Jury selection is going on:

Juror search begins in Boston Marathon bombing trial

"...Jury selection for the trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, accused in the Boston Marathon bombing, begins Monday. Those chosen from a pool of about 1,200 will decide whether Tsarnaev planned and carried out the twin explosions that killed three people and injured more than 260 near the finish line of the race on April 15, 2013. If they find him guilty, they will decide whether he should be put to death..."

Trial is expected to last several months, according to the article.

Is there a thread for this trial?

So far,YorN, this is the only one I see:

What magnitude?

The 3 big quakes I've been in in my life were: Sylmar 6.6, Whittier 5.8, and Loma Prieta 6.9. I wasn't in LA for the Northridge quake, but my family was. Not knowing, I bought my current house on top of a faultline, hopefully it is a minor one.

What magnitude?

Nisqually? I had to look it up! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001_Nisqually_earthquake

It was a 6.8, but it lasted 45 seconds ... which is, like, FOREVER! The saving grace was its depth and location. The epicenter was south Sound. And had it been shallower, we could have had liquefaction all along the Seattle waterfront. Some pockets occurred, but not to the extent possible.

Of bigger concern for Seattle is the Seattle fault, which runs through downtown Seattle and under Puget sound. One side pops up, the other drops down. A 7.2 on the Seattle fault is entirely within reason, and it would be devastating.

Then, of course, there's the Juan de Fuca/Pacific plate subduction zone. A 9.0 there is within reason. The entire coast would be hit with a tsunami ... and there's some evidence that a rip on the plate COULD set off the Seattle fault. Fun, huh?

Whoa! Then you know what it is to shake, rattle, and roll. Loma Prieta, eh? Ugh.

Yeah, I'm living on the Calaveras Fault, runs under my street, but being a lifelong resident of the Pacific Coast, I just don't believe we're going to fall off into the Ocean!!!

I put down Friday, March 13....not because I actually believe they'll wrap it up by then; but hey...it's Friday the 13th! The 13th is on a Friday in February, too, but c'mon...ain't no way!

Oh no! I just did the exact same thing. I figured HECK--there it is Friday the 13th--I'm gonna have to go with that date!! Let's hope CMJA is sentenced far before then.:jail:

I just did...:seeya:

I had already made a guess of March 13th since it is Friday the 13th. I hope it is okay to make another prediction though. My first thought was a day in late April--so I recorded my "psychic prediction." I guess we'll see how well that works.

Have you seen the documentary Gasland? http://www.gaslandthemovie.com

I have never seen that documentary but it looks like it does a good job of explaining all the issues.
It is sad because I understand that companies want to get as much oil and gas as possible to help us become oil independent and not rely on other nations to supply our oils but there comes a point where when you begin harming ground water and peoples homes, that is crossing the line.

I've only ever been in a real small "trembler" and that was bad enough for me. :)

My brother who lived in CA told me that one of the craziest things about them when it first happened to him is he began running outside and then realized where in the heck is he running to. It is everywhere.

He then said the other thing that really bothered him was while he was outside looking down the street, the street looked like water to him as the street was moving in a wave like motion.
He said the phsychological impact of all that was very upsetting.

*heck, maybe I said the 3rd of April......"old age, lol!

People were blaming her for the 2 weeks the Court was dark over Christmas Break, despite the fact that it was a legal holiday, and all the courts were shut down, not just Jodi's trial. The jurors got to have their holidays with their families.

........and the 2 week school Christmas break (need to keep the kids occupied), to say nothing of pre-paid flights to visit or be visited by family, definite travel plans, and just the craziness of the holidays.

Dangit, Linusk! You're dashing all my hopes of a "seaside view" here in Arizona! Just drats, have some faith!!!! :floorlaugh:

Cute picture! Love it! I used to get a massage EVERY WEEK when I was working, as it did WONDERS for my bad hip, knee and leg! But now that I'm retired... less money... so only once a month now, just cause I can!! LOL!

Some of you peeps are getting the crazy lows that we had a few days ago!!!!
What happened to Global Warming?!?!?!?!

ahhh... they are now calling it Climate Change!

What trials or cases are everyone going to follow next?

I am always interested in JonBenet Ramsey and Kyron Horman. I don't think either of those are going anywhere.

Is anyone following the Cooper Harris case "child left in the car seat" in the heat.

I am always interested in some case. It is just so hard with the cases involving children.

Unfortunately, not much happening with Kyron's case - he is still missing, poor kid! I followed that one as it was happening. I'll try and find the Cooper Harris case on here! And thanks for the link to the Boston Marathon case!! :tyou:

Popping in on my lunch break...nothing much happening, I see. :seeya: Spring semester starts on Monday, so I'll probably do the same tomorrow, at least. I'm trying to remember: is there a hearing tomorrow? TIA

Supposedly... who knows WHAT will happen tomorrow!! :gaah: getting VERY frustrating, eh?

March 31, 2015. :waitasec: :dunno:

Me too LinasK! What a trip, eh?!! My parents lived in Northridge at that time too; not too much damage to their house, thank goodness! Just a crack in the wall and a bit of the ceiling falling down, but they had insurance! But, the problem was they were planning on selling their house that summer and move to Latvia, where they had bought an apartment building. Unfortunately, after that quake, nobody wanted to buy houses in Northridge...

Hope you all in the East are keeping warm! I have a friend that lives in Omaha, and there is a bit of CHILL there! Yikes! Thank goodness California doesn't have that much snow!

Off to read some other threads!

Take care everyone! :seeya:

30 days hath September,
April, June and November,
All the rest have 31,
Excepting February alone.
Which only has but 28 days clear
And 29 in each leap year

I'm right.

is that the date you are thinking about taking?

Way down towards the bottom, the BMW.

Totally makes sense that she borrowed TA's BMW to go get the U-Haul and a tow dolly for her Infiniti. If Travis had actually SOLD it to her, he would have transferred the Title to CMJA and put his name down as the "Lien Holder". Otherwise he would have been responsible for the insurance and any accidents while CMJA was driving all over the place.
That's just totally insane in Arizona. Once someone purchases your vehicle, you drop your insurance (making sure they have insurance or a binder#, drag your buyer to a notary and sign the title over, then go on line and transfer the registration.
Can we REALLY believe TA was THAT stupid?
His Executor did not have a signed over title for the BMW. CMJA's so called "contract for payments" was extremely suspect. The BMW wasn't surrendered to her.

Any estimation when the circus/trial starts up again? TIA :)
