Update on my broken arm. Last week I went to the doc and got an injection of steroids/lidocaine in my shoulder. It didn't help anything. The doc gave me a prescription for Mobik. I have to go for an xray and see him again next week. I have a huge knot or mass on the arm 5-6 inches or so below the shoulder and he thinks it is callous. Until he sees an xray he thinks I tore or pulled something in addition to the break and mentioned rotator cuff and surgery maybe. Will know more next Thursday.

Last week I borrowed a neighbors self propelled mower to cut the front .... and won't ever do that again!

Daisymae, I hope you get some relief soon. This has been going on for so long.....I do hope they can get to the root of the problem and get you some relief. I wished I lived closer so I could cut your grass.....please be careful and don't overdo it.

OMG, Jasper! You live in heaven on earth! I think rather than having the bus pick you up, we should make your stop our final destination! :)

No, no, no, no, y'all are welcome here anytime, but I'm not missing out on the bus tour!!!! I will admit, it is a slice of heaven here.

Glad that you have such a peaceful refuge to call home. As a city person, I envy that perhaps more than anything else in the world! But I gotta make a living and the city is where the jobs are. :(

Please keep us posted on your health situation, and know that positive vibes are being sent your way many-times-over during any given day. :)

Gigi, I feel your pain. Maybe now, you can understand why I took the buyout and retired early. I just couldn't bring myself to move to Toronto. I can't handle the hustle/bustle in the metropolitan areas for long periods of time. Heck, I have a hard time with short periods of time, lol!

Living here is a totally different lifestyle, but I love it - it's laid-back and relaxing! I can't order food in. I have to travel for groceries, medical etc. I have three freezers, so I never worry and try to keep them stocked up. I frequent our local general store quite often. The new owners now carry fresh produce and a wide variety of items that I otherwise had to travel for. All is good!

Thanks, Gigi, for the positive vibes. I will admit, I am worried and will be until I get the results. I have an appointment for Sept. 21st., so will let you know how I make out.

Oh my gosh, Bernina, that video looks like it was taken at my place! I live right on the edge of Algonquin Park.

For comparison purposes, this is about one and a half times the size of Prince Edward Island or about a quarter of the size of Belgium."

Oh no Daisy, I hate to hear your still having problems with your recovery from your broken arm. Girl, you can't seem to catch a break. (no pun intended)
I hope you didn't unknowingly hurt/hinder your recovery again by cutting your grass :frown: Isn't there anyone who can cut your grass for you???
I pay someone to cut my grass. He's reasonable with his rates, he charges me $25.00 a week. (if it needs it weekly) (((HUGS)))

We received word while we were on vacation that our SIL's cousin committed suicide Tuesday. He was 32 years old and left behind 2 children...Let's remember the family in our thoughts and prayers...heartbreaking that he thought THAT was the only way out...

I know everyone one here believes in their own 'faith' 'karma' or something...anyway, I must tell you what happened this past week. Before we left, I was sitting on the couch and was missing my Little Bubby. Lizzy came in and asked, "you sad Mama"? I said yes, I miss Bubby. She went out of the room and crawled back in like a puppy and came and rubbed her sweet little head around my legs. I naturally stroked her hair and said good boy! Then bless her heart she told me that Bubby was happy flying in Heaven and he doesn't want me being sad anymore. Well....the tears started falling and she climbed in my lap and just laid her cheek on my cheek and we set that was for a long time each missing Bubby in our own way...

Then another remarkable thing happened on Wednesday!! We ran upon an older couple who had 2 Yorkie's (brother and sister, 8 mos old, weighing in around 4 lbs each). I asked the couple, "may I see your puppies"? They said by all means. Well, I flopped my big butt right down in the grass and these two little balls of fur ran and got upon my lap and scooted up toward my neck and just loved on me and snuggled in. I breathed in the sweet smell of the fur babies and I was in another world. again, tears were flowing down my face...DH explained about losing Bubby and the couple was so kind, letting me get my fur baby fix. Bless the kindness of fur baby parents!

I felt such peace holding the fur babies. I think God has showed me a sign...it is time for healing and getting my own new fur baby again.
When the couple walked away, they both hugged me and said that was no doubt in their minds, the joy that was on my face as I loved on their babies was priceless...

Sweet coffeejunkie , those were lovely moments to share. I am glad you had both of them.

Oh Susza, you are so precious! This obviously is a auto correct mistake, or possibly a language barrier ? ~
Because I know you, and there is no way you would ever say or even mean this.
I have to say though, it did give me a much needed laugh today

If this a term of endearment in your Country, then
 you give us the creeps, because we adore you!

Oh, noooo - and I was worried wether I choose the right translation. Fortunately you read it with the right eyes...
So, what do I have to say: "gives me the goosebumps"???

The best prescription EVER!!!!!

Love it!
Yes, for me it's the ONLY precription that helps me when I'm going through harder moments and it ALWAYS helps me.
My dearest dream is to move to a nature place close to a river and build myself a small wooden cabin. And later on, I'd build a second one for friends who'd like to come over. It would be....on the other side of the river ;)))

Gosh, today is the 9/11 anniversary. What a different world we live in now. It's sad to think the younger generation will never know the freedom we had prior to 9/11 - oh, how times have changed.

Bernina, I hope you're having a better day, today. We are here for you if you need to talk. :grouphug:

Dmacky, Love the shirt! Your comment "no pun intended" :hilarious:. And, thank you for the well wishes.

Coffeejunkie, It's great to have you home ! So sorry to hear about your SIL's cousin - what awful news to receive while on vacation. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. (((CJ)))

Lizzy sounds like a real sweetheart and what a heartwarming story about the Yorkies. You will know when the time is right - maybe it is sooner than later!

After yesterday's magical disappearing posts or triple repeats, I guess I'll try to remember what I had written, lol!
While a the "head doc", they took my regular blood pressure reading, 110 over 80, don't know if that's good or bad for someone who's 104 lbs and 54.....they always say it's "fine".

Picked up the treadmill from Williamson Valley last week to get this heal tendon un-numb...........it's working. Little did I know this was happening 1/2 mile as the crow flies from where I was at:

YCSO releases video from Williamson Valley fatal shooting

I guess we need to be prepared to see this becoming the norm with video cameras on LE.

My lil' bro and Evey are both heroes. Yesterday, 1000's of miles away from each other, they both saved dogs on highways. I was talking to my lil' bro yesterday morning as he drove to work in Seattle, saw a dog frantically crossing back and forth the freeway, ended our call, pulled a u-turn and rescued the pup from becoming a sail puppy for the owner who lived just off the highway..........8 other vehicles had blocked the roadway so he could run after it.............YAH, lil' bro!
Evey was coming back from Town on Hwy 89 and a Shepard mix was all buggy trying to find it's way home.......65 mph on that 2 lane highway. She stopped and coaxed it to her, got it safely into the bed of her truck and called Animal Control.......pup was home in time for dinner......YAH, Evey!!!!
My lil' bro told me about the filming going on in Northbend, Washington, his little slice of Paradise, with Showtime's "Twin Peaks" series. He'll be sending me pics. The diner got a makeover as did the building they had originally used as the police department. "Damn good cup of coffee......"

dd90c0fa-aa53-43be-8adb-acca6c28632b-1020x612.jpeg

And my brother got me interested in these funky things (Vibram Five Fingers) for the treadmill and beyond.........major 4 wheeling for the outdoors, lol! Waiting for them in the mail:

SpyridonLS-m4125-hero.jpg

Woot! had a blowout sale, picked up 3 different types, including a pair that's insulated and good in the snow and ice for less than the price of a single pair........just call me "Sasquatch"! I always preferred barefoot running from the time I was an early teen til about 12 years ago. My lil' bro swears by them.

And that's the re-cap of posts not posted from yesterday..............well, except Don went to the ortho doc, they're going to do an MRI, he may have tore his rotator cup compensating for the bone spur in his shoulder.......they thought they were just going to grind the bone spur down, but the doc saw something on the x-rays during the consult. Guess I should expect to be doing more heavy lifting. :scared:
