Susza, I contacted the Ultimate Cloth head office in the US. They were not able to give me a website but, gave me an email address for you to contact. I was told that this person is the most active distributor in Europe. Their email addy is [email protected] - hopefully they can help you! Maybe ask if they have a website.

uld you decide to order the cloths, be sure to read the instructions included. Basically states not to wash and dry with items that contain lint, not to use fabric softener, wring out as much water as possible before using etc. There should also be a phone number should you ever run into problems. These cloths are guaranteed for five years!

Good luck and please let me know how things go!

Thank you very much, Jasper! I just sent an email and will keep you posted as soon as I'll get an answer. :))))

GigiG, where did they learn compassion and understanding to become those adults? Children live what they learn. Seems like they had a very good example in front of them.

Exactly!! GigiG, you are a wonderful person and I what you are saying about your kids and your relationship with them gives me the creeps.
How precious! I'm so happy for you.

Susza, I will send you the Ultimate Cloth from here. No worries. I already sent The "New Yorker" on Charlie Hebdaut to Paris. No problem sending cloths lol.

Oh, ZURI - you are incredible! I would accept that only if you tell me which swiss items you are longing for. Well, I'm sure we'll sort this out.... But anyway: MERCI BEAUCOUP!!!

French parents on trial for toddler's washing machine death :(

"Melun (France) (AFP) - A Frenchman went on trial Tuesday accused of killing his three-year-old son by locking him in a washing machine in a grisly case in which his ex-wife is charged with collusion.

The father, Christophe Champenois, 37, denied any memory of the crime in which he allegedly stuffed his son Bastien into the machine and switched it on as punishment for his bad behaviour at school..."

Sex abuse trial to begin for Johnstown-area priest

"An unusual federal trial gets underway today in Johnstown as the Justice Department squares off with a suspended Roman Catholic priest accused of sexually abusing orphans in Honduras between 2004 and 2009.

The government says the Rev. Joseph Maurizio, 69, is a serial child molester and will present three Honduran men who say they were assaulted by Father Maurizio when they were children during his visits there under the guise of performing charity work. He is now in federal custody...

Jury selection is to start today. The trial is expected to last about three weeks..."

The Worst of the Worst

Judy Clarke excelled at saving the lives of notorious killers. Then she took the case of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

"...Clarke may be the best death-penalty lawyer in America. Her efforts helped spare the lives of Ted Kaczynski (the Unabomber), Zacarias Moussaoui (the so-called “twentieth hijacker” in the 9/11 plot), and Jared Loughner (who killed six people and wounded thirteen others, including Representative Gabrielle Giffords, at a Tucson mall). “Every time Judy takes a new case, it’s a soul-searching process for her,” Clarke’s old friend Elisabeth Semel told me. “Because it’s an enormous responsibility.” On rare occasions when Clarke withdrew or was removed from a defense team, a defendant received the death penalty. But in cases that she tried through the sentencing phase, she had never lost a client to death row...

Clarke’s friends say that the loss has been devastating to her. In death-penalty work, Elisabeth Semel told me, you talk not about losing a case but about losing a client. When it happens, she said, “you suffer, and you have to figure out how to pick yourself up.”..."

Ohio prosecutor won't file new charge for escapee who lived most of his life on the lam

"COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man who disappeared from a northern Ohio prison camp in 1959 while serving time for manslaughter and was found this year in Florida won't face new escape-related charges in his home state, a prosecutor said.

Erie County Prosecutor Kevin Baxter said he decided not to pursue any escape charges for Frank Freshwaters after considering his existing sentence, potential legal limitations and what little evidence might exist to build a case against him in the decades-old escape. All that's left is really old records, Baxter said..."

"Authorities in Texas are hoping to find relatives of two young boys left at a fire station by their mother.

2015 - Queen Elizabeth II will have reigned for 63 years and seven months - calculated at 23,226 days, 16 hours and approximately 30 minutes at about 17:30 BST. She sounds so young.

AND:

1533 - The daughter of King Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn, Queen Elizabeth was born. She came to the throne in 1558 and ruled England for almost 45 years.

Long to reign over us: 63 stunning pictures of the Queen - one to celebrate each year of her glorious rule as she becomes Britain's longest serving monarch

"The Queen is set to become the longest reigning monarch, overtaking her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria

On Wednesday Her Majesty will have been on the throne for a total of 63 years, seven months and two days...

When she was just 21 the then Princess Elizabeth made the people of the Commonwealth of Nations a solemn promise.

'I declare before you all that my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we belong.

None who heard her words could have known she would go on to become the longest-reigning monarch in British history.

Yet on September 9, 2015, that is her momentous achievement when she overtakes the record set by her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria, having been on the throne for 63 years, seven months and two days..."

My brain won't seem to shut off from all these damn meds. My body is crying "Uncle", but my brain won't say quit. I am working with one arm and a totally blown lumbar spine and I have been abandoned in my quest to get my house right by the people who supposedly live here. I think they may be in shock lol. Good old Prednisone.

Hope you all are doing well. I am having a fun trip down memory lane discovering artwork, needlework, collectibles and antiques that I had forgotten about. I want you all to come over when my house is done for a party. I certainly have enough dishes, crystal, serving wares to make it a fun night. Xoxo

:therethere:

I don't think you should worry about organizing/cleaning the house when you are in pain now.

Read this (maybe it will make you feel better??) I guess too much cleaning is not good in the whole scheme of things:

The Opposite of Hoarding

"For some, the need to shed possessions is a life-consuming illness—but the cultural embrace of decluttering can make it hard to seek help..."

Downsizing My Home and Discovering That I Am a Hoarder

"...That new book about tidying up by throwing out stuff that everyone is talking about doesn't work for me. You are supposed to hold the item in your hand and see if you feel happy or if it brings you joy. The problem with people like me is that EVERYTHING brings joy and happiness. And conversely, it is painful to part with anything of even minimal affection or sentimental value. As I unearthed treasure after treasure, I tingled with pleasure. "Oh no, I can't get rid of this," I kept saying at each item. How could I possibly part with any of it?.."

Good morning all!

Niner, I am so glad you had such a great trip. Lots of good "new" memories now.

ETA: (oops, auto-correct made your name a Miner :giggle: sorry)

That's okay - I knew who I was! I have tons of good new memories. I'd loved to post some pictures from there, but since this is an open forum, I would rather not!

Whew ... looks like Serena will win this match.

Azarenka is really going to make me nervous!

Niner - you are a traitor!

Update: SERENA WON :happydance:

No, No, not a traitor - just rooting for the "other" sister!! But I knew Serena would win. Do you think they "conspired" to each win a game and than let Serena win the 3rd one?? :waitasec:

Oh, Bob Bashara - I saw that when it first happened and missed his trial... :gaah: glad to hear he got life! Will check out his appeal thread! :tyou: YESorNO for posting the link!!

I have home grown cukes, so don't have to worry!!

Yes, Canada. Hmmm..... we have Jasper and Bravo from the upper regions of North America, and I do think they signed up for the trip.

okay - we are coming your way - Jump on the Bus!! :happydance:
