My SIL already posted the pics on FB and the DNR took pics and posted them also. The pics have went viral...

I imagine they would. :) They really are amazing. Especially because they are big bucks too with big antlers which makes the photos special. AMAZING.

They should also ask the DNR to return them the antlers since it should be finders keepers. Maybe they could have mounts be made and eventually sell the interlocked mounts for big money.

The DNR maybe trying to do the same thing and I think legally your relatives have rights to them. I maybe wrong but I would pursue getting them back. DNR is maybe being selfish and looking to make money off of them.

Im always trying to think of ways to get rich. LOL

Update: People are wondering what case of Juan Martinez's was continued because of a "personal conflict" so he can go on a book tour. It's case ‪#‎CR2011‬-133622 before Judge Rosa Mroz. Defendant is Jesus Busso-Estopellan. This was confirmed independent of Michael Kiefer. The defense did not object because they had previously wanted a continuance but were denied.

Philip Chism Trial:

Trial of Philip Chism accused of rape, murder of his teacher begins

"A Danvers teen accused of raping and murdering his math teacher two years ago goes on trial today after his lawyers failed to convince a judge he was mentally incompetent — but they remain determined to convince a jury he is insane...

Opening statements in the trial are scheduled for 9 a.m. in Salem Superior Court, followed by the government’s first witnesses against Philip Chism, 16, who because of reforms to juvenile sentencing in Massachusetts enacted mere months after Colleen Ritzer died, eventually will be eligible for parole — even if he’s convicted of first-degree murder. State law will not permit someone his age to be incarcerated in a state prison. If convicted, Chism would be housed by the Department of Youth Services until his 18th birthday.

The teen’s defense team will argue he is not guilty due to insanity and should be cared for in a mental health institution..."

Oregon serial killer Dayton Leroy Rogers sentenced to death in 4th penalty trial

"PORTLAND — A jury on Monday sentenced one of Oregon’s most prolific serial killers to death for the fourth time, an ultimately symbolic decision in a state that has not executed anyone in nearly 20 years.

Dayton Leroy Rogers, 62, who killed eight women in the 1980s, had previously been sentenced to death three times for his crimes, and each time the penalty was overturned on legal grounds. The jury’s new verdict comes despite a moratorium on executions imposed by the past two governors..."

Amazon rapped for killer Paul Bernardo book

"TORONTO — Online sales giant Amazon has an ethical and moral responsibility to yank a self-published fictional ebook by notorious Canadian killer Paul Bernardo, the lawyer for his victims' families said Friday...

While Bernardo, formerly of St. Catharines, Ont., does enjoy constitutional free-speech protections, Ontario law prohibits criminals from profiting from their crimes — in his case the first-degree murders of Leslie Mahaffy, 14, and Kristen French, 15, in the early 1990s.

As a result, Danson said he would reluctantly be reviewing the novel to see whether it has anything to do with Bernardo's hideous videotaped rapes and murders, offences for which he was declared a dangerous offender..."

The federal prison population has fallen below 200,000 for the first time in 8 years

Dana Chandler appeals 2012 convictions for cold-case slayings
No date scheduled for arguments in 2002 slayings of ex-husband, his fiancee

"Almost three years after she was sentenced to back-to-back 50-year sentences, Dana Chandler is challenging her convictions in the 2002 shooting deaths of her former husband and his fiancee.

In her appeals for the killings of Mike Sisco, 47, and Karen Harkness, 53, Chandler alleges a Shawnee County District Court judge erred in imposing two “Hard 50” sentences, allowed the prosecutor to use “inference stacking,” allowed impermissible evidence, and that prosecutorial misconduct occurred...

In her appeal, Chandler is asking the Kansas Supreme Court either to vacate her convictions, grant her a new trial, or send the Chandler convictions back to Shawnee County District Court so she can be resentenced...

The prosecution hasn’t filed its answer to Chandler’s appeals.

A date hasn’t been scheduled for prosecution and defense attorneys to argue the Chandler appeals.

The earliest the case could be argued would be in the fall..."

When I worked as an RN, there were no excuses for not showing up for your shift. I have driven in a blizzard with chains on my back tires when I worked in Philadelphia, put my rear wheel drive car in a snow bank, slid sideways on ice with a 4WD Suburban, but managed to get to and from work because of the ramifications if I didn't.

We were allowed 4 "incidents" when we were precluded from working due to a family emergency or were sick. Hospitals are pretty strict and do not take kindly to staff not being there. The main drive to show up was not loyalty to the hospital, but to fellow RNs so they didn't have to work short.

Reminds me of a snowstorm where I live ... in a metro area in the South that shut the city down completely for two days . I believe it may have been in 1983?

I was working in one of the premier hospitals here in the area. The hospital let everybody go at 2:30 pm but they misjudged and the blizzard snow storm hit earlier than expected by the administration and I couldn't even get out of the parking deck due to snow . I worked in the medical laboratory at the time.

There were about 8 of us who were stranded... horror stories of the other people that took 13 hours to get home.

We 8 banded together and decided we were going to have a fun time in the hospital and on the grounds of the university where the hospital was. ( for those in the know you have figured out it is Emory by now lol).

The first thing we did was decided we needed provisions. So off we go to the campus place nearby where we bought beer and toothbrushes . LOTS OF BEER !!! You know the essentials when you're 23!!! ( remember this was when we were in our twenties and the 1980s was a different time).

Then we went with beer in hand to find the Presidents house. The house was on campus and had a great Hill for sledding. We partied until about 12:30 am playing, sledding with all the university students and then going back to the hospital cafeteria which was still open all night to get something to eat .

Then we headed to the director's office and sat in his office drinking beer and talking about stories of the night. As we left his office we made a pyramid on his desk of the empty beer cans!!!!

Then we were running around upstairs to find blankets and pillows and slept on the floor of the director and other executives. I think we will finally tried to go to sleep at about 5 o'clock in the morning

7 o'clock comes for our shift and we are ALL hungover.( I did tell you this was when I was in my twenties, as were most of my coworkers, and it was in the eighties lol ). But we were up and at 'em and had to get rid of our hangovers and lack of sleep very quickly and work hard as only about 3 could get in that day that had gone home. Very very much a skeleton crew!! and I'm sure we all reeked of alcohol :giggle: (but we did not have any patient interaction)

I haven't thought about it in a long time but it makes me laugh thinking about it! Oh those were the days... Today we would have been fired for doing such a thing!!! Not only drinking and everybody knew it but leaving our evidence purposefully on his desk!!!

Oh yeah .... And for the rest of the story ....the director never mentioned that 4 feet high pyramid of beer cans that was on his office desk that he found when he finally made it in that day :D. he publicly thanked us for staying and our efforts to ensure that the patients were taken care of :D

ETA ...Oh yeah .. The president of the university, his house was behind gates..NO ADMITTANCE !!. And he never complain that everybody jumped the gates and came to his house and on his grounds to go sledding either. There must have been a hundred people on his front yard that night lol

How ridiculous, why are people so overly sensitive these days?

"Obsessive Christmas Disorder:” OCD is no joke, so some wonder why Target is selling this sweater"

Target is selling a sweater that makes light of OCD, which isn’t so funny to some of the people who actually have the disorder.
The red sweater is emblazoned with the acronym OCD, followed by the words “Obsessive Christmas Disorder.”

I know - too sensitive... get over it! :) Everything has to be political correct these days....

Just catching up now. I have found that the normal DRY spices in a bottle can be kept for a very long time. I have some that are 2-5 years old and they are still fine although of course the professional chefs say to keep them fresh if you can. But since they are so expensive and since a bottle lasts such a long time I usually just keep using the same bottle even after they get X number of years old.

We have a "natural" food store here, and you can buy all kinds of spices there at a very good price! Maybe you have stores like that in your area, instead of McCormick's. Just a suggestion! :D

and another :tyou: !! I got busy when I arrived back home and didn't come over here! Sorry! :) I had to finish up my 10 copies of my 2016 calendar for 10 people! Had to run back to Staples to get another color print cartridge... :gaah: have a VERY OLD HP desk jet.... BUT! I got them all done last night! Now I have to take them to a print shop and get them bound!
Here is what the Final Report says:
"There is a pattern of increased uptake diffusely within bone most distinctive on the images within the right and left humerus and right and left femurs. There is mild increased uptake in the ankles, hips and shoulders. The kidneys are visualized without evidence of obstruction."
So the hematologist yesterday gave him a shot of "Leuprolide", and combined with the cancer pills he gave the Huz a couple of weeks, he should be feeling better soon according to the doctor. And it was amazing - last night he was walking around without his walker! And this morning - he is feeling MUCH better!! It's amazing what that shot did!! :happydance: He even feels better to make chicken salad tonight!! another :happydance: He didn't want me to make it, as you have to fry the rice sticks in VERY hot oil, and he thought I couldn't do it! :D I think I could! Anyway - he'll be getting this shot every month, but for how long, I don't know... we shall see! But all I can say is I have seen QUITE a different Huz since yesterday!! :skip:
Oh - and he had his first "hot flash" last night! He said he felt like putting on his shorts! He's been wearing his sweat pants, a long sleeve shirt with a t-shirt over this and a parka like vest! LOL! He said it was a weird feeling!

All your prayers worked, I believe!! :loveyou:

Unfortunately, I refreshed the page and it got all screwy... need to read 10 more posts!

So will post this, and continue reading... :pcguru:
