Red head and I used to drive a red Mustang and I worked for a landscape contractor.

That's why I like to have details when sleuthing. There are a LOT of landscapers up here, a LOT of red Mustangs and a LOT of redheads.

OMG! Red Mustang (me too), not a full redhead but lots of red added to basic black, lots and lots of red. Luckily, I'm not a landscaper, otherwise the dragnet would extend to OK!

Kimster, can we have your timeline, please? Receipts? JK.

Good grief, folks! Kids just wandering around outside during the fair unsupervised??!!!

Suppose Kyron decided to go out and see what others were looking at? Snatch--and he's gone.

If other kids wandered outside, then there's no way to prove that he didn't--since the teacher conveniently didn't look into where he was when his friend worried--and that leaves an opening in the current LE story big enough to drive a Mack truck through.

It just keeps getting worser and worser.

Are we ordering from the caterer for the fence crowd or are they bringing a general buffet? Chocolate, please. Last night I ran out of ice cream, chocolate, and strawberry Twizzlers. It was..awful.

I just don't think she had to be parked there to get him. I know the police are focusing on parked cars, but just because she wasn't parked there doesn't mean she couldn't have pulled the car around to get him as he walked down that path where no one could see him to the road.

Maybe Terri has been saying she was parked elsewhere or something, or maybe she said she was parked on that road. I highly doubt someone would mistake his truck for the Horman's truck. There was a trailer on it and that's hard to miss. The Horman truck did not have an attached trailer. And I, too, believe that he was out of there by 8:30, not packing up at 8:30. That still gives her plenty of time to get Kyron and not be seen.

It could be they're asking about parking to rule it out, not verify it. Like I said, she didn't have to be parked to get Kyron. I don't know why people think it couldn't have happened just because she wasn't parked in a particular spot. If she volunteered a lot at that school, then she had to know about the mowing of the soccer field, and planned accordingly for it. Makes sense to me.

so even if terri wasn't actually seen on the access road... that doesn't mean she parked elsewhere and took him out another door.

I think they should keep looking into this white truck sighting and not be too quick to rule it out just yet.

I hear ya Ms Suzanne. And I agree.

White truck, yes - but whose white truck? The Horman white truck, or... another white truck?

My pasta pot is ready for the flying tomatoes. I make a mean chicken cacciatore lol!

In the video, he's driving a white F250, not an extended cab tho'.

The trailer and mower are pretty drab in color. He was parked twice on that spot LE pictured the horman's truck. Someone looking from the parking lot or going by on Skyline would certainly have notice the bright white truck ... but not necessarily the trailer / mower as it kinda blends into the background. I think this is quite possible especially if this came from one of the questionnaires filled out some time after that day. Pictures of white truck ... people remember the truck, because they're supposed to remember the truck.
:waitasec: Was he parked in the spot where LE pictured the white truck? Was that on the video? I'm on wonky wireless and video won't work...so I can't watch to verify if he says he was parked where LE's picture was...and if he was, I'm surprised the focus of the story wasn't that his truck was mistaken for the other one, rather than he didn't see another vehicle.

That said, if he'd backed onto the access road so he could unload his equipment, it's possible that someone only saw the front of the truck and didn't notice the trailer. I'm just surprised that the story wasn't partly about his truck possibly being mis-id'd as the other one.

I'm not so concerned about the truck as I am the children outside at any time that morning, in a group, that may not have had an adult present...

But I still think it would be a magic act for the groundsman to leave at 8:30 thereabouts and Terri or partner wheel up there just in time to be free and clear to lure Kyron from school and whisk him away and no one sees anything. That seems like a great deal of luck, rather than planning.

Maybe Terri says she parked on the access road?

I thought this, too. If she isn't a poi or a suspect, than I guess she could be a witness or witnesses who put the truck on the access road. But why would she put it in two different locations.

And it STILL really bugs me that LE apparently missed this guy :banghead:

I have watched this video several times and all he is saying is that the white truck was not on the road at 7:45 am when he arrived or at 8:30 pm when he left. That does NOT narrow it down to 8:30-8:45 as the reporter stated. He was mowing the field for those 45 minutes. Two significant things I noticed: (1) the LE picture of the white truck on the access road--you would not be able to view the truck from about 85% of the soccer field because there is a slope in front of/next to the truck that would obstruct the view of the truck from the field; (2) he looks down and directly in front of him as he drives the mower--as he should--and the mower is noisy--so he wouldn't have had an opportunity to hear the truck or see it while he was mowing. We don't know what he was doing when he saw the kids come out from the school and I wouldn't assume he was mowing at the time.

Also, reporter stated that LE told her they spoke to him "as recently" as this afternoon--indicating LE had spoken to him before, so I don't think LE was unaware of this witness or his statement before this report as people are opining.

TY BeanE

Ok, so the grounds keeper only had his truck parked there just to open and close the chain gate. maybe a minute of two to do each. All the rest of the time he was mowing the field. So he cannot be 100% sure that another white truck did not pull up to the access road.

Or... his truck was the one that was seen that morning......

the only problem I have with that is that his truck looks really official....I don't know about other people, but when I see official type trucks, what sticks out in my mind is the lights on the top of the cab..........I don't know how anyone could mistake that truck for a plain king cab..????

I just want to know if the daughter was ever seen with TH that morning at the school????

Thanks I just went back and watched the video. Yep, big white truck and from the right angle you wouldn't even notice the trailer with the mower behind it.

I'm convinced. Someone responded to a questionaire that they saw a white truck parked on the access road, and/or pulling in or out and reported it as the Horman truck. LE needed corroboration or an ID on the truck and they just got it. They can now discount that TH was parked there.

Posting before reading all of the replies:

I used to mow the grounds for a large corporation on a large mowing tractor. I would completely zone out. It's hypnotic. The drone of the mower, the vibrations, the wind, the carbon monoxide. I would completely lose track of what I was doing. Kind of like when you are on a long road trip and you realize you just drove 10 miles and have no recollection of it.

And I'm saying this as a fence sitter.

Uh oh. You don't have red hair, do you? And drive either a red Mustang or a white truck?

Another viewpoint--obviously, the landscaper wasn't totally zoned out as he noticed the kids and what they were doing.

When my dad used to hop on our big ol' garden tractor, he could tell yu who came down the road (he'd wave) if he was in the front. He could tell you if a plane came over, if he saw a hawk, if the birds were busy.

I think it varies with different people and sometimes maybe according to the job.

So I don't think we can discount his testimony. I'm impressed that he not only was sure about his times, but that he also noticed the kids and exactly where they headed, vs. "oh yea, some kids kinda came out."

He's obviously a pretty observant guy. IMHO.

p.s. I'm sure Houze has a crackerjack team of investigators, and they're probably ahead of LE in some things. And yea, betcha he was pleased with tonight's revelation to the world. He's keeping quiet, keeping his client quiet, and he's giving LE running room to fall down, go boom. In public.

You must have seen the video differently than me, I certainly noticed the trailer with the, red, riding lawn mower on it.

Well you can't always help it. I remember 'snapping out of it' when I ran smack into a tree.

Holy cow

Yeah, that would do it lol

I don't think Terri (or the person in the truck) would have chanced moving the truck to the access road knowing the groundskeeper was working the area above, and certainly not knowing when or if he'd return (or any other maintenance for that matter).

Agreed. Not to mention that anyone would chance smuggling a child off school grounds by way of the SOCCER FIELD access road when the groundskeeper is mowing the field & in full view of anyone walking by.

I hate to keep hammering this point but it sticks in my feeble mind. I still do not see why anyone seeing TH leave or arrive with Kyron would make anyone sit up and notice...if you are used to seeing kids/parents coming and going at school why would this draw your attention? What if he got to school and had an accident (bathroom kind) and had to be rushed out to get more clean clothes? Why would you assume anything wrong seeing a mother come or go with her child? Nothing about this makes sense to me...I work part time in a school and I see people coming and going with their children all the time for appointments or whatever....why would it draw anyone's attention....somebody wise me up!!!! LOL

It depends where the witness was when he/she saw the truck...as to whether or not they would see the markings, etc...I'm betting it was this truck spotted from the main road as someone was driving by. Just a guess. LE can rule this out, if so.

I don't see how this changes anything - it only narrows it down to 15 minutes. And 15 minutes is plenty of time to carry-out something that was well-planned in advance.
(snipped by me)

Except, if there is a reciept showing TH was at a store some miles away, having completed a purchase of (something) at 9:12...that 15 minutes gets a bit...well...

Let me put it this way.

TH says good bye to Kyron at 8:45.
TH returns to her car and puts Baby K in, add 5 minutes. 8:50.
TH drives to store, add 10 minutes. 9:00 am
TH takes baby out, goes into store, buys something, add 12 minutes. 9:12

It's now 9:12 am, the time there is a reciept for.

So when did she abduct, kill, hide well enough so no searches have yet found Kyron?

The timeline is just too tight...can't be done. Even with 10-15 minutes extra on one side or the other, the timeline just can't be worked out to where he can be hidden as well as he apparently has been.

I just can't see it working, not with this info. It's just too tight. Like wearing a pair of jeans 4 sizes too small...lots of contortion and exercise to get into them, and when you do, you're bulging and immobile, your toes are numb from lack of circulation and you can't breathe - and that's not even getting them zipped. LOL.

The timeline is too tight, with the turf technician's statements.

I soooooooooo hope LE is re-interviewing him...because if they didn't interview him at the beginning, I have very little hope that Kyron will ever be found. If they've been chasing an "obvious" suspect but she's not the one, some bad guy has gotten a 2.5 month head start, and, I'm sure, has attended to all the little details and covered themselves very, very well by now.

And that would just suck.

Best-
Herding Cats

It wouldn't, unless a child had vanished that day and then you might recall one mother and child going the opposite way from everyone else, if you had seen it.
