Sure thing!! I like links, too. :)

PORTLAND, Ore. - A groundskeeper, who was mowing the soccer field at Skyline School the morning Kyron Horman disappeared, clarified his timeline to investigators Friday morning and it differs slightly from what he told a KATU News reporter earlier in the week.

Portland Parks and Recreation turf technician, Dave Stensen, told a reporter he never saw the Hormans’ white Ford F-250 pickup truck in the two areas investigators asked about during a Wednesday news conference.

Those two places were on an access road to the soccer field and investigators say they want to talk to anyone who may have seen the Hormans’ truck on it between 8:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., Friday June 4.

Stensen told a reporter earlier in the week that he cut the grass on the soccer field between 7:45 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and never saw the truck on the road.

He had to use the gravel access road to get to the soccer field, only he apparently used it before and after that half-hour window of time.

He met with two detectives and a deputy district attorney at Skyline School early Friday to go over his timeline in detail.

Stensen told investigators that he left Skyline School as late as 8:45 a.m. or 9 a.m., which means he could have missed seeing the Horman truck being in the two spots investigators are interested in, especially since he spent his time and attention at the school mowing the soccer field.

Investigators say that puts him on the gravel road outside of the critical half-hour window they want to know about since they have witnesses who saw someone in or around the Hormans’ truck during that time.

Still, authorities said it was helpful to have spoken to Stensen in depth.

Investigators say they are still hoping to speak with anyone who was at the school the morning of June 4 and saw the truck that Kyron’s stepmother, Terri Horman, was driving and anyone who was in it or around it.

Investigators are still trying to identify that person in the Hormans’ truck and say that could be key information into Kyron’s disappearance.

So it seems that this IS the first time that investigators spoke to the GK - on Friday the 13th - AFTER the release of the new flier. 9 weeks AFTER Kyron disappeared.

I'm at a loss for words.

Please excuse me while I go find a pillow to put on this fence railing - I need some extra cushion, since I might be perched here for awhile.

Someone please tell us that this is not true!!

ETA: Nobody noticed that the grass had been freshly cut the day the little boy went missing?!

I'm not seeing anywhere in the article that was posted stating this was the first time he was interviewed by LE. As noted below, he clarified his timeline to investigators Friday morning when they met early Friday to go over his timeline in detail. I think it's highly unlikely that this gentleman being a city/county employee would have not notified LE immediately that he was on the premises of the school that morning. JMO

Especially since LE is said to have conducted a *thorough* search of the school & the grounds those first few days. :(

I was under the impression that LE had interviewed everyone who was on campus that day.

IMO, talking to the GK early on could have saved investigators time & effort later regarding potential tips that were reported, if they would have had the GK's statement sooner rather than later.

It reads to me like he talked to a reporter first and then just met with LE Friday....they said the timeline he gave LE was a little different than what he told the reporter.

I sure hope this isn't the first time this man was interviewed by LE. I don't have a link, but wasn't there a time in the beginning of the case where all folks who where at skyline that day were asked to return to the school and be interviewed??? I couold swear I read that.:waitasec:

IMO, if LE had spoken to the GK prior to Aug. 13th, the above bolded statement would not have said what it did - that authorities said it was helpful to have spoken to Stensen in depth. They would have already spoken to him in depth, if they had spoken to him before (just as they had already spoken to others on campus in depth during those first days). MOO

Wasn't it just about a week ago that LE requested a list of all school employees and contractors?

ETA: I'm in the wrong thread. Thought I was someplace else. :)

Furthermore, wouldn't they have said how it compared to the timeline he first gave them if they had interviewed him in the beginning???

One would think. IOW - if investigators had spoken to the GK prior to Aug. 13th, one would think that LE would have said they were following up on previous info given to them by the GK, or that they were re-interviewing him, or something along those lines, rather than comparing it to what was said to the KATU reporter. MOO

ETA: After all, LE has talked about re-interviewing several others & it has been mentioned in MSM articles. Yet, there is no mention of any *re-interview* with the GK.

Therefore, I believe Aug. 13th is the first interview of the GK by LE.

I'm not sure when the first questionnaire went out - was it after the school year ended? Could the "turf tech" have been out of town on vacation and missed it/LE missed him?

someone should call the reporter and ask (not me, I'm too chicken lol). But seriously, with all of those trained searchers out there, how unlikely is that they just went "oh, good, someone just mowed the grass. That makes the search for this missing boy MUCH easier," and didn't follow up on it. It's so incredible that until I hear it from the TT or LE, I just can't believe it. Am I missing something.

It would be so very hard for me personally to notice if grass was cut or not on this day. Even more so if I was involved with/at the school. IMO.

I agree, Wondering, it would be great to know with absolute certainty when the GK was 1st interviewed by LE. I, for one, am exhausted with all the speculation & trying to figure out who/what/when/where/how.

For my part, that's why I'm on the fence with my legs dangling on either side. Not that it matters one iota what I think or believe, but if there was more solid info, I'd be able to form an opinion based on evidence, rather than continually readjusting my derriere to keep it from going numb. Ugh.

Okay, in that position, I'm really hoping that it's not a picket fence, but rather a Post & Rail. For my sake too.

You might not, but the place was swarming with professional SAR teams, surely they would have noticed. JMO

Picket fence - ouch in any position! Definitely post & rail! For the sake of ALL the fence-sitters lol! I was thinkin' of something like this, with a view of pretty wildflowers.

From the news article :

" Investigators are talking to Stenson, and checking his information against what they've gathered. They say that they find him credible. "

IMO this would be the first time Mr. S. has been questioned by LE investigators. The article does not say " talking to Stenson again... " And,if they had spoken to him before, wouldn't they have probably remembered what he had to say about that morning ? And,according to them,he's credible.....

All JMO

That's what it sounds like to me, too, Liz - 1st time they've talked to him.
