Here I go again ... how far is Smith Mountain Lake from the areas where the funeral and the memorial service were? The funeral was on Saturday and the service on Monday? If so, what did Raven do that day in between? Was anyone with him or were they too busy catching up on work with their laptops?
Thank God I'm not the only one wonder this... I've been rolling this around in my head for a couple days while I worked on building another website. I come over here and my thoughts have been posted already. You rock Jersey!:woohoo:

I would love to see a timeline of exactly where the Rav spent his time when he left his friends, the church teachers, home up til his move to Utah.

I've noticed a couple of times that you and I seem to share a brain! <insert joke here> :)

That's why I'm so interested in knowing if that e-mail about reduced price software was sent by THE Karyn Bolton or not. I guess I can understand staying on top of work with a laptop - bills unfortunately still need to be paid, even in times of great tragedy. But the date on that e-mail was definitely the same date as Janet's funeral and the time was 7:20 P.M. So were there times during that weekend when Raven might have been left on his own while people were attending to other things? Might he have taken a drive to "clear his head" or "reminisce" at a place that perhaps him and Janet had liked to go?
Well we know that raven and Karyn worked at the same computer company at one time. If Karyn deals with computers too, could she have been helping raven delete things off the laptop that would look suspicious? We know she set up the "send us money now" trust fund within hours of Janet's murder...she begged for money at the memorial service...she most likely hired the attorney for raven that was retained the following day after the murder...her immediate actions after finding out the her daughterinlaw was murdered are questionable to me and I would not dismiss the idea that she knows raven killed Janet and would help him delete info, or get rid of the laptop or murder weapon.

Do we know if Karyn sold computer software without packaging and manuals for a reduced price? Do we know if she did this at the time of Janet's death?

ETA: And does anyone know if she ever had an e-mail address at escapinghades.com?

Or if they wanted, this kind of information you could posted anonymously since it is general knowledge to numerous people (family, friends, coworkers, friends of friends, etc.).
We have no idea who the posters are...Jerseygirl could be a male Eskimo in Canada:crazy:

I feel quite confident in disputing this rumour. JG is definitely NOT an Inuit from Nunavut. ( Course she could be any one else :D ) Sorry I had to interject a little Canadian political correctness !

I'm thinking he would have been surrounded by family and friends during those days, but would have had time afterwards to go "exploring."
The Rave could have slipped away, he had plenty of people to babysit Kaiden (or actually take care of Kaiden) and he probably said he needed to get away and clear his head or needed some time alone.

Being gone 6 - 8 hours would be no biggie, Raven is kinda on the hyper side and people would relish the fact that he was out of their hair probably. I know I would. Heck I've gone shopping and been gone 8 hours during the day.

We also know he could have told different groups of people he was with another group of people, and nobody would ever check, if nobody really talked to the other group of people. We know he lies at a drop of a hat as it comes so easy to him.

I don't know where everyone stayed and who was with whom and at what times. I do know that Raven was driving in the VX. His parents, mom and stepdad were in Janet's Acura. His dad was not at memorial, but I heard he was at funeral as well as several of his siblings, though not all. Raven was driving alone in that VX. So I guess he could come and go as he pleased.

Unbelievable! I am speechless. The tack of driving the murdered victim's car to her own funeral???????????????????????????????????

Tacky is as Tacky does.

How long was the Durango in LE's custody? How long was Janet's car in the shop?

Raven may not have the Durango back yet, does anyone know when he got the Durango back?

Since Janet's car went into the shop the day she was Murdered, it obviously was repaired before the Services so Karyn & Jim had a safe car to use and they wouldn't have had to rent a car. Didn't Jim take the car back with him to Utah or buy the car off Raven or something like that?

I would have been way too uncomfortable and it would have caused me a lot of pain emotionally for me to use it.

I thought I heard that Jim or someone co-signed for that car for Raven and Janet. Maybe they weren't making timely payments on it, and were getting pressure from the co-signer, and it was yet another thing that Raven was having trouble making good on. So he had to find a way to either pay for it or give it back. (Although I must say that it sounds as if Jim is too kind to put undue pressure on someone.)

ETA: You know, we've all been doing this so long, I honestly can't remember things from the beginning. I'm going to have to search the threads later because I'm at the point where I might be confusing cases. I can't believe that it's approaching a YEAR and still no one's been arrested!!!!!! :banghead:

I believe it is something like that, either took over payments or cosigned, I will try to find the information also, I know it's here somewhere.

I also think you are right on the Jim's character, from all accounts, everything I have heard about him, he seems like a nice guy, put in an awkward position because of his marriage to Karyn and her children that dance to a different beat. I feel for Jim and his children.

It's a shame though that he didn't have the kind of relationship with Raven that Raven needs though, a father-figure, that Raven could trust.

I would hope that if Jim knew all the facts, and knew that Raven committed this murder, he would try everything in his power, to help Raven tell the truth and face it and take responsibility, the way the Hacking family bonded together, and faced it head on.

I can't say the same thing about Karyn. If she knows the truth, and something in me thinks she does, I think her motto would be deny, deny, deny til the bitter end.

These are just my opinions and I'm sticking to them.
