PH: I remember giving the statement to Mr. Dewani to read and then asked questions.

PH says the reference in Panorama, is taken from CCTV footage at the Protea hotel.

VZ: didn't you hear there that Mr. Dewani told a journalist about the trip.

PH: My understanding is that he didn't tell a journalist. The journalist heard what was said on the footage.

VZ: Why would Mr. Dewani have told you about it? ( oh come on, Mr VZ )

PH: I would think it's very important for Mr. Dewani to tell me that.

VZ: It wasn't the accused. It was his brother.

PH: At that time I was under the impression I was speaking to the accused. If you're saying it was his brother, then they must sound very much the same.
