PH: I don't recall reading such a report but it's possible there was one

VZ maybe a bit unfair, as when the reception staff are discussing the helicopter trip, it's not clear who told them about it. I assumed they were discussing SD's trip because it was something I knew about. I think the Panorama I watched was broadcast in 2013, but I only watched in the last few days. Not sure what PH would have made of it unless the trip was already in the public arena.

PH: Tanya phoned me & Barkhuizen at the time.

VZ: She went to Tongo's appearance as a watching brief. Did she ask to speak to you?

PH: I spoke to her on Sunday and referred her to the DPP.

VZ: I spoke to her during the lunch hour. She told me that you said they (hitmen) did not mean to shoot her (Anni). They only shot because she wouldn't stop screaming.

PH can't recall saying that but says it's possible

( PH said things on good intentions that SD played no part of it, it's now his fault because he didn't accuse SD on the Sunday, jmo. )

VZ is really muddying the waters now about who first mentioned the helicopter trip. He first went on that it wasn't important, and then when PH said it was, he goes on about t.v docos and lawyers and Preyen Dewani etc.

I'm sure Traverso wouldn't know what's going on. jmo

Yes, at some point he must have realized the police mistake. I can think of no good reason he wouldn't have told them. It's turned out to be quite convenient for Dewani's defence though, hasn't it? He can't be held responsible for anything that was said during that call now.
