Ok I will be the sacrificial lamb and go ahead and put it out there...

With all due respect to the family and friends of the victim, she did not leave with her family or even stay away with her family because she had no intentions of leaving the marriage without getting the money she felt she deserved.

Let the flames begin...

Disagree, Nancy had an attorney, she knew she had rights, especially for her children. She'd enquired about a ONE bedroom apartment, etc.

Seriously, why should she? Because she didn't want to die? Do you think she really thought of that as a possibility? If you are in a marriage and have no means of supporting yourself yet, why would you leave unless you were threatened? She deserved her share of the $$, imo.

Friends are searching. Stressed and worried.

Saw Brad again after she went home and returned. Brad having a beer in the driveway.

Told her he was getting girls from Clea's house. Looked pale. "Not with it".

Tired.

Actually, at this point, listening to this testimony, I don't think that statement is even worth a response.

Maybe later.

Additionally, she could not go back home with parents/family to Canda because of the passport issue. She did not have both childrens passports.

I find it odd that she did not go to the consulate?? If she hated him that much and truly wanted to leave thats where she should have gone. moo

This witness, Hannah, was good friend of Nancy's. Her testimony, and the ADA female questioning, is a very nice change from the wrenching testimony from Det. Young for the past week. This witness is putting out a lot of intimate details about what Nancy confided. She is very credible, sincere, and obviously still upset at the way all of this turned out for her friend.

Exactly. If you are in fear, are in a controlling situation, want to "escape" you are surrounded by your family and away from the controller, if the situation is that bad, you take that opportunity to go to the authorities.

Heignsight is always 100%, huh??? The stress Nancy had been living with must have been horrendous!!!!

Brad was tired of being asked same questions over and over, Nancy still missing. Witness still spoke with LE and was happy to do anything to help find Nancy.

Brad seemed distant, never looked her in the eye, didn't say anything.

Hindsight is always 20/20, unfortunately. Nancy didn't think Brad would kill her. Her dad asked if she was afraid of Brad and she said 'no', IIRC. I'd guess Laci Peterson, Michelle Young, Janet Abarola (sp?), also never 'saw it coming'. :(

Disbelief that her husband would 'hurt' her is probably what kept Nancy and the girls in the house. IIRC she was asked by her family if she was fearful of being harmed. Don't remember the exact words. Denial of how bad things are is huge in domestic situations.

Just a comment regarding Nancy and if she feared for her life.......from experience, I dont think women like Nancy feel they will be harmed ..maybe Brad never threatened harm..but he sure could make things unbearable by controling money..and causing custody problems.....Its always the outsiders who think of these things..As I did with my best girlfriend..She didnt think her x-husband would do that...TG he didnt...but caused her to go broke!!

Monday Brad called and said he needed help, wanted to let girls talk to media. <H talked him out of it>

Witness took girls went back home for the day.
Saw Krista, spoke to her Sunday, Krista wanted her to take girls and keep them with her <H>.

Knew Krista was coming. Stayed in touch during Sunday night, knew Krista was driving.

Krista was going to LE first then, H's house.

Krista got there, girls were thrilled to see her. K went down for nap, played with B.

K resisted nap until Krista got there.

Brad had agreed to let girls spend the night, prior to Krista getting there.

After Krista got there, Brad said he was on his way to get them.

Brad agreed to let K nap and B play, 10 min later he was at the door.

Brad woke K up, was trying to take B and put her in car.

Demeanor was leave asap.

Which was the oldest daughter? Could she be the one that called to Brad's cell phone on Saturday morning?

I really like this witness. She is so articulate. Very, very obvious she cared for Nancy and the 2 little girls.
