In my book mouth breather is the same thing as slack-jawed and those are both things that describe Josh when confronted with any serious questions about that night Susan disappeared. His jaw drops, he gets this lost, confused, tripping look about him and stutters.

I hear ya. I told my husband that if anything happened to me that he was going down even if he had nothing to do with my death/dissapearance. He is not very well spoken, not college educated. and I can see him bumbling around like Josh Powell if he had a TV camera in his face.

Normally, I would consider this somewhat farfetched (for my thinking), but after reading the statements from the neighbor that ate with them that day, saying that it took Josh forever to prepare a pancake dinner, and that he prepared and served everyone's plates individually ...it does make one wonder.
Was Susan on any prescription type medicine? Birth control pills, thyroid meds. I know when my thyroid levels are off, I get really cold. If he gave her too much Levothyroxin (hypothryoid people take this) then she would be the opposite extremely hot. If she was hyper and was taken meds for hyperthyroidism she would be extremely cold with too much. My pills are tiny like birth control and really don't have a very bad taste. Mixed with syrup one wouldn't taste it.

JP would have had to have medication readily. How about the schizoid sibling in the home? What meds is he on? Did LE check his dosage? Too late now to check on that unless he was taken to the doctor to refill earlier with an excuse of I lost my meds.

We probably could have guessed the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬/pedo charges were coming based on SP’s disturbing behaviors (see below) and the removal of his computers and journals.

70%-80% of pedos have a diagnosable personality disorder at some time in their life. On the MMPI, deviant pedo fantasizers showed significantly increased scores on the psychopathic deviance scale, the paranoia scale, and the schizophrenia scale. Pedophiles are socially alienated and less emotionally stable than others. Many pedos demonstrate narcissistic, sociopathic, and antisocial personality traits.

Thank you, in no way was any of my post meant to attack anyone. Or argue. I'm not good with my grammar.

How difficult will it be for SP to get $200,000 for his bail?

I hope it's really hard...in fact I hope it's impossible :)

Just me of course!

Pensfan,

It would depend on if he has any savings, 401 K to cash in is my guess. In this bad economy I do not see him able to get a loan especially now that he is unemployed. You never know though there could be someone out there that relates to this man and has money and will offer to pay it. I hope not!

Steve took the attitude that he was going to try to get out in front of this investigation by smearing Susan. In doing so he called more attention to himself. Josh followed behind his father's lead and did the same thing but IMO not in quite the same way.

LE knew what was going on and just needed a reason to get a search warrant. It has been weeks since that search. No doubt they knew eventually the boot was going to hit the floor. Josh doesn't look well. And to me that says karma has finally hit him and he is not emotionally or physically well at this point. I also believe he knew well what his father was up to with all of these pictures and videos. Time will tell if they have anything to turn up the heat on Josh. I hope so.

I wonder if JP will try to use his and Susan's house to help his dad?

How difficult will it be for SP to get $200,000 for his bail?

Was it ever determined whether he needed the entire $200,000 or 10%, 15%? I guess that's why they have bail bondsmen. Maybe they haven't gotten one that will accept him.

I don't understand how that works. I thought a person had to put up some of the money and put up something of value for the bail bondsman. Is that correct?

Well if he made up a fake story that made no sense and everyone knew was a lie he probably would be looked at.

If Josh brother was taking lithium for his bipolar that would cause decreased thyroid function and she would be extremely cold. Oh wow, the scenario going through my head right now.

I heard he would need 20k cash plus something to back up the rest of it.

I keep seeing it stated that the Cox grandparents must relocate, but I have not seen this mentioned anywhere but here at WS. Is there a link to a document stating this requirement, grandmaj?

I likely have just missed seeing it (I am still unpacking from a move, caring for the granddaughter and trying to rest in between by reading here--needless to say, I am just a tad frazzled! LOL).

Page 6 of the document states they are not sure if an arrest will be made in WA or Utah they are prepared to move to Utah if Josh was arrested there.

I wonder if JP will try to use his and Susan's house to help his dad?

Does JP still own the house, is he paying for it, or did he loose it? He isn't working, is he? How could he be making a house payment without working?

SP has a grown daughter, 2 grown sons, 2 grandchildren and himself to support. (Did I miss anyone?) What kind of salary does he make? All those cars, insurance, house payment, utilities, groceries. Seems strange. Plus a son living with him who is running for Congress. That costs money too.

JP might be on unemployment though.

This is so strange.

I have no answers to any of these questions, Darlin'. I've only briefly followed this case until 2 days ago. But the whole brunch scenario doesn't sit well with me. It takes JP FOUR hours to make a pancake meal? And then he serves everyone their plates individually? Okay, a bit odd, but who knows...maybe he was trying to make it a special thing. But then, immediately after the meal, a 28 year old woman says she's cold and needs a nap? At 4:00 in the afternoon? And while she does this, her husband hustles the boys out of the house for alittle sledding? Individually, all these things don't seem TOO strange...but strung together, they make your hinky meter start inching into the red zone. Well, it does me anyway.

Also, JP strikes me as passive agressive. If ever there was a murder weapon of choice for a passive aggressive husband, poison would be it. JMO

Usually a bond you pay 10 percent and the rest is an insurance bond but you need collateral to back it up. If the house isn't clear in that amount of money it would be risky for the insurance bond company to take that as collateral because the bank would have first dibs. So they need to come up with quite a bit of free and clear collateral. In this case 180K in collateral.

I imagine he'll find a bondsman who will post the bail with security on the house etc. Assuming he owns sufficient equity.

It actually occurred to me, they may want him out. If they are smart, they are monitoring everything. He could give it up.

According to the county records, SP just refinanced his house this summer. Took out a mortgage of $177k. Don't know what the house is worth, maybe $250-300k in this economic climate.

He looks physically ill.JMO

Let's be honest, wouldn't we all look ill of our father was arrested on such charges? One can only imagine what is going through JP and siblings heads right now.

Very interesting that Josh showed up in court today still hoping to publish Susan's personal journals.

I hope SP never walks among the free again, what a colossal POC.
