SUSPECT IN CUSTODY MN - 2 Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses were shot by someone impersonating a police officer, JUNE 13,2025

I was thinking that VB likely has a current passport given his frequent travels abroad to the DRC, etc.
If the source is correct and all those things were in his wife’s car - sure looks bad for her. Where would she have been heading when stopped in Onamia?

This is interesting.

So his wife and 3 other relatives were stopped:

Sources say a traffic stop was done between 10 and 11 a.m. A witness says about a dozen law enforcement squads converged on the vehicle and remained on the scene for two to three hours.

Two sources tell 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS the vehicle contained a weapon, ammunition, cash and passports. However, to our knowledge, no one has been arrested – just questioned.
The wife and others in the car had cash and passports, among other things. Doesn’t sound suspicious at all.

They should keep close tabs on all of them until he’s found.

I made a map of the approx area of her house, where she was stopped, and the Canadian border. About a 5 1/2 hour from where she lived to the border.

Clarence Shaffer said he heard the moment his neighbors, state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, were shot.

It was just around 2 a.m. while he was up watching television that he heard the "pow, pow" of gunshots, Shaffer, 71, told NBC News. He rushed to wake up and tell his wife that someone might have been shot and that he was going outside.

"I didn't see anything, but then, all at once, I seen a black — dark black — car backing out of the Hoffmans' driveway," Shaffer said. "And as he backed out, he turned his headlights on and put the police lights on. And I thought, 'What the heck's a cop leaving the scene after the gunshots?'"

Surely Boelter knows he’s not got a snowballs chance in hell of getting across the border? Even if he did find a way to cross on foot, with facial recognition, he’s not getting on a plane anywhere.

Just a weapon, ammo, cash, and passports. I mean, I keep mine in my car all time when I'm running to the store to pick up groceries, right?

And stopped 2 hours north of her home when husband is on the run. And stopped just 4 hours from the Canadian border.

Now, it may be that she had been notified early that morning by her husband's roommate about the text he had gotten from VB or been notified by police. It may be she was going to go stay at a relative's house because she knew her house was going to be swamped by reporters. You would think that with the second shooting happening around 3:30, and the police getting VB's name from the car that they went and questioned her pretty soon after that. Maybe they were done with their first round of talking to her.

But I suspect that while they may have given her permission to go stay somewhere that is not her home, they certainly didn't want her to cross into Canada.
I understand that they could have taken cash and passports with them if they had to leave their house, but ammunition? That is a different matter, I would think. Unless they felt they needed protection and had a licensed firearm. And if they had a relative or somewhere specific to stay near Onamia or in the area. Hope we hear more about this from LE or MSM soon.

I doubt he’s been thinking rationally for quite a while. He seems to think he’s capable of doing a lot of things recently. Delusional might describe him. He thinks he’s some kind of super skilled assassin and security expert, but is neither.

I’m amazed he’s been able to evade LE this long. He must have had some help. JMO.

I commented earlier that the texts sent to his friend of forty years, did not sound at all delusional.

They were headed for Canada, JMO. Hoping to quietly cross the border and disappear for a while. Do we even know if the wife had talked to police at that point? It seems unlikely they would have let her go without keep in tabs on her in case he tried to contact her.

At the point they were stopped this morning, I don’t think his name had hit the media yet? Probably thought they could make a quick escape and meet him somewhere. JMO.

I like the meetup theory, especially with the passport and weapon. Absolutely stupid though, because the second he attempted to use the passport he would be arrested.

Their house to Onamia is about 2 hours. So, she would have needed to leave home between 8 and 9 to be stopped in Onamia between 10-11.

The car that was left at the house of the 2nd pair of victims would very likely have come back registered to either him, his wife, or their security company they were trying to start up because it was said to look like a police car with lights...which is what his and her security company's website said they had. The roommate in Minneapolis said that VB had several police type vehicles.

They would have ran plates and tags on that car right after discovering the murders at 3:35. I can't imagine that police hadn't spoken to her yet at 4 1/2 hours (8 am) after they found his car and manifesto.

Like I said - snowballs chance in hell. That’s also why I think what he says about his training on his security website is a lie.

He’s about as stealthy and strategic as a bull in a china shop. The only reason he’s not been caught yet, is they had to identify him and he had a head start. It’s only a matter of time now.

Ok so what were the multiple reaching back in the car for? Clearly he wanted something in it, but what I wonder?
I think I see him carrying a bag in his left hand as he walks away.

You think he left identifying plates on the car he used? I assumed he likely had scrubbed the VIN number and swapped plates. But I think they can run an engine serial number and get a VIN just takes longer to get there.

He’s incredibly stupid if I’m wrong. Also don’t think they would have let her leave the home. Surely they were there immediately, not just a phone in to her?
