TX Suzanne Clark Simpson missing in San Antonio, last seen by friends at dinner - 6 October 2024 *Arrest*

Really disappointed about how quiet this has gotten. I was so hopeful with the searches last week, the news earlier this week and thinking that Suzanne would have been recovered by now. Can't help but think about her children and all they are going through.

Shooting someone is messy- blood/ blood spatter/ noise/ added evidence on the perp,on his gun, his clothes etc.
I don’t think he shot her.
Why would he need to shoot her?
That makes no sense to me.

Too messy and smothering someone isn’t messy per se.
Punch her out/ smother her- pretty simple for a monster.
The child saw him punch her in the house so easy to see him serving up a “knock out” punch that same night.

She either ran from him or intentionally moved the fight outside for the sake of
the children after she was punched in the face and slammed against the wall.
The neighbor saw BS grab SS around the chest to stop her from running away.
She probably was going to run to a neighbor’s house if she could have.
She had no phone- it had been taken away.
Maybe she was trying to get to the across the street neighbor who witnessed the outside fight.
He dragged her into the woods. Screams.
He’s a big strong man who was angry and acted out- maybe somewhat impulsively.
He was over served/ inebriated and in a rage he killed her in the woods.
Then he moved her body. And likely moved it again more permanently on Monday.

Her best friends may know why he was in a rage/angry.
We haven’t been privy to whether she wanted to divorce him/ leave him or
if she confronted him about an affair on his part or about his business dealings/ problems/ lawsuits- there is no telling.
But we do know that there was a fight of sorts/ words exchanged at the Argyle.
We also know there was a fight that the across the street neighbor witnessed.
Maybe she got on him for being drunk and that was enough to put him in a rage.
Maybe she did nothing but someone at the Argyle flirted with her or he perceived she flirted with someone else.

Often a perceived slight is magnified many fold when someone is inebriated.
Anger can definitely escalate when large amounts of alcohol are involved.

We do know BS had a couple of hours to move her Sunday night and all day Monday to go back and dispose of her body before she was reported missing.

His confession or acknowledgment of remorse/ apology to his brother is interesting.
It would be interesting to know exactly what he said.
Maybe BS planned to do himself in at some point upon sobering up and realizing what he had done.

This infuriates me though- his recent egotistical statement that the charges are bogus and he wants to see his kids.
It’s like OJ driving around in the Bronco then claiming innocence.
It’s like we all just fell off the turnip truck!

There’s no reasonable doubt on anyone’s part that he killed her. Her own mom said she knew SS was gone. The family is being amazingly careful though with their words in case he does slip through like OJ - being careful simply for the sake of the kids.

What is the age range of their kids? Elementary age, high school, older than that? I don't think I've seen it mentioned.

5 year old, 15 yr old high schooler (came back from ACL weekend, to this) 20 in college and I think another collegiate at 22.

Not sleuthing the children but I am curious if he's met with them or messaged them. He could be silent in an attempt to protect them.

Now that the partner is in custody LE will have access to his phone and other evidence. I do wonder how they determined he tampered with evidence and hid the gun?

The DA's office has said it plans to fight the motion.

"Defendant's children are not complainants in this or any cause, nor has the State alleged any evidence to suggest that this condition is in any way related to the safety of the community or an alleged victim," Gilmore's motion states.

He went on to argue Simpson isn't a flight risk before asking a judge to modify the no-contact order or remove it entirely.

The Bexar County District Attorney's Office said it plans to fight the motion.

District Attorney may be able to use this to negotiate. This is the one request that we know Brad has made, his children are clearly important to him. Are they important enough that he is willing to tell where Suzanne is in order to see them? Maybe his older children will be willing to use that. I don't want them to be forced to see him if they don't want that. I hope their wishes are considered before any decision is made.

Regarding the children at what point will there be some type of official motion for guardianship? Will we know when that is done?

I agree with that. I am pleased that they all seem to cooperating with each other to do the best for the children. I don't expect anything to come from LE but some things may be filed through the court system.

IMO nobody is looking at this very broadly, ... and by keeping all information close to their vest (likely with intention of preserving legal case) LE is avoiding any distraction from their initial theories... that being that she was harmed/killed in Olmos Park and body hidden there or specifically on suspects actual properties...
