The Texas Department of Public Safety did not provide any additional details about the case Thursday in announcing the charges, but officials will hold a news conference Friday afternoon.

Her remains are believed to be somewhere in the Bandera area, where Brad Simpson headed the night of her disappearance, a source said.

So glad to hear there's been an arrest. Those poor kids :(.

Are they still thinking she's in the landfill?

They think Bsndera. I think it’s where his ranch is? But if you scroll down and read the text to his friend, it sounds like maybe his friend has a place there too? “If you’re in Bandera, can you haul 🤬🤬🤬 and meet me at your house?” Bandera is in hill country where I would imagine there are sadly lots of places to hide a body, es of you have adult male help? I don’t know if his friend helped him in more than one way. JMO

That would definitely be "ideal" in terms of being able to recover her and give her the burial she deserves.

Relieved to read he's been charged with murder! I hope all pressure is on him to tell where she is.

Cotter's bond was reduced to $50,000 on Thursday, November 7...

Though there were two attempts at a public hearing, with Cotter's defense attorney expected to call witnesses to testify on Cotter's behalf, the decision made by Bexar County Judge Miguel Najera in a private ruling. It's unclear why the deal was struck in back rooms.
Did Cotter talk, hence the murder charge?

He must have. That’s way too big a coincidence. Couple that with them saying they believe she’s in the Bandera area, then I don’t think there’s any other explanation.

I had really hoped he knew something and it appears he did.

He don’t remind me of the type that would ever tell, but I hope also.

I don't care how long you've been friends or business partners - you're gonna disentangle yourself pretty quick when it comes to involvement with a murder charge. At a minimum Cotter could likely be charged with Accessory After The Fact. If that gun was used in Suzanne's murder, he's toast.

ETA - I wonder if they were told where she was and are going to recover her body overnight?

He does remind me of the sort who will sing if it drops the bond to a bail-out amount.

Laughing I was talking about the husband, yeah Cotter would sing. It would be amazing if they did recover her right away.

My hope is that he has or will, but reading the texts from BS to VC I’m wondering if that’s the reason for the Bandera conclusion.hopefully someone was able to volunteer timeline evidence. Has his attorney spoken again after the decision to reduce his bond? He doesn’t strike me as an attorney that would encourage his client to talk. I hope I’m wrong on that. IMO

I totally agree that it is likely Cotter was persuaded to give as much info as he knows. I imagine Brad is feeling very down and out tonight after his talk with the DPS. He probably didn’t say much, but was made aware that he is totally isolated.
