Did the Judge rule on the motion his attorney filed to see the children? They need to be protected from this monster, imo.
Even in the unlikely event that the judge were to grant the motion for him to see his children, wouldn’t somebody have to take them to the jail for him to see them? I find it very hard to believe that any family member or close friend would do that.

He must have. That’s way too big a coincidence. Couple that with them saying they believe she’s in the Bandera area, then I don’t think there’s any other explanation.

I had really hoped he knew something and it appears he did.
I agree completely. There's no way they'd reduce that bond that significantly and move that quickly to charge Brad if he didn't roll over no matter how good of an attorney he has. I'm sure he has a good one that advised him it would be better to spill now and make a deal than see it through and get hammered later along with his buddy.

I pray they find her soon, her family has been so strong and so faithful, they deserve peace and healing.

Yah that or that they would even want to see him, unfortunately. Dads are very important in childrens' lives for sure, but Momma is essential. And he took theirs from them :(

Presser starts in a few. 2 pm
New charges.

This is going to be frustrating I think, as the arrest affidavit is sealed. They won’t be able to offer anything of substance.

Do you all think that the illegal gun Cotter was hiding is be related to her murder, why so important to Brad for it to be hidden otherwise?
It’s possible, but the gun was illegal in and of itself in that it was converted into a machine gun.

So he would have a reason to hide it.

So strange he trusted another person with the gun.
Couldn't he just bury it somewhere for the time being?

There doesn't seem to be shortage of land there.
And nobody would have been any wiser.

Another person, even a friend, can always turn against a perp.

That's why I'm curious about it. For some reason he wanted it saved and secured with his friend.

What if...
His business partner was the one who purchased the parts or was the one to shave the pin....
Then I could see why he would be inclined to help hide it.

It's a felony in Texas to have one & he knew it.

There is definitely a reason that the friend was willing to get involved. He knew Suzanne was missing at that point. I'm really curious about these two and what they have been involved in. Going to be interesting when this goes to trial.

Updated Nov 7, 2024

Thursday, Nov. 7:

  • At 12:32 p.m., Judge Miguel Najera quietly made the decision to reduce the bond for James Cotter.
  • Cotter's bonds totaled $1 million, and now total $100,000 — $50,000 for each charge.
  • At 1:15 p.m., a convoy of DPS, Olmos Park PD and BCSO vehicles were recorded by KSAT leaving the east side of the Bexar County Jail.
  • BCSO officials confirmed that Simpson was taken out of jail for further questioning by the Texas Rangers.
  • At 4:10 p.m., Brad Simpson was charged with murder in his wife’s death.
  • A judge set Simpson’s bond for the murder charge at $2 million, bringing his total bond to $5 million.
  • Suzanne has not been found, but sources said they believe her remains are somewhere in the Bandera area, where Brad Simpson headed the night of Oct. 6.
They must have flipped Cotter...

And couldn’t he have put it wherever he put her body? If that’s the case, the what would that tell us? Did he dump her body in a place that would make retrieving his weapon impossible (like a septic tank or water tank, lake?). Most likely though, he probably got it from Cotter and Cotter didn’t want it to be traced back to him. I don’t know. Just speculation and thinking
