Terri Has Moved -- What is Next in the Pressure Cooker

I agree with the poster who said Kaine will charge her with taking items that don't belong to her. It won't matter whether they do or not, he'll just do it.
I mentioned in another post on another thread days ago about my step-granddaughter who abruptly left her parents home. (It was for a good reason but not something I want to go into here. However, she didn't move in with other family which we would have liked, which makes us concerned.) She left the truck they had given her for graduation and any other thing she thought they could lay claim to. Her former step-mother (my daughter) had given her her computer, camera, provided and pays for her cell phone, etc. ...so she took those things and her clothes. The parents threatned to file charges because she took her clothes that they paid for. Since in this state you can go to a justice of peace and file criminal charges against anyone for anything, takes court hearings to sort it out. The girl returned the clothes and other family members replaced her wardrobe to just keep things from getting more out of hand than they already were.

No doubt in my mind, Kaine will come up with something. I'm sure Terri's lawyer cautioned her. Hope she heeded his advice.

I can see that happening as well, if nothing else, from a standpoing of "anything it takes to get her into court."

If I was TH at the moment I wouldn't fancy driving a flashy car with personalized licence plates. Just get me an old truck, a bit rusty but not too much that people wonder if it'll fall apart from its seams.

FYI I asked and was answered on another thread that Kaine did not let Terri take that mustang. Dunno if its a fact, but that was my answer. Something about her atty advised her to leave it as it prob had GPS on it anyway...

This was my THEORY only. Others felt it was too conspicuous. The car according to the media was left and we do not know why. :)

This is the thread where we were theorizing. NO facts to back this up. :)

I thought it was interesting that Terri herself left Thursday post-hearing and her lawyer's staff stayed on the property until exactly 3pm Saturday, when they drove off the property. Kaine drove in at 3:15 pm.

I got the impression they needed to do some things in the house? Clean or pack things?

I'm sure Terri had time to pack knowing over the last few weeks she couldn't stay ... but I wonder why her legal team was there ...

I assume Terri left early and her attny asked for 92 hours to foil media...

EP, I thought they stayed so they could make sure the house stayed they way she left it. So Kaine could not say the house was trashed or something.

I think her legal team was there photographing and documenting the entire contents of the house for two reasons:

- to provide evidence that Terri did not damage or take things, or boobytrap anything, etc., should she be accused of it.

- to inventory marital property in order to determine what Terri might be entitled to, in either the items themselves, or half their value, or perhaps an agreement was made that if she left immediately, and provided a list to Kaine, that he would pack and send the items she needs/wants.

Emphasis on the first.

Oh one more thing:

- to photograph and document evidence of her being a good mom, stepmom, and/or wife, and conversely, perhaps, evidence of Kaine being a 'bad' husband and/or father.

I've never heard of the staff of a lawyer staying and freshening up a property. They are not housekeepers they are trained legal professionals. I think it was a little legal maneuvering. We have the house until 3pm and we are keeping it until then. More than anything they were probably looking around for anything that Terri might have left around that would hurt her defense.

exactly. Thanks for a nice list BeanE. You are fast!

do you think media will figure out where she is staying and report on it? If it is a women's shelter, no.

But it appears that she is not at the parents.

My cynical part thinks the staff was there to make sure she didn't leave anything incriminating behind.

Missed alot today....so is TH not staying with her parents? TIA

I don't know Nana, but I did hear on the news she is driving a white car owned by her folks. She took off driving north and reporters were going gaga wondering if she was headed back to Portland. I mean, give me a big break as things can go a bit too far, eh? And I'm probably one of the toughest on her here.

I missed the link that says TMH left on Thursday. I thought she had actually left on Friday before the scheduled hearing.

Her lawyer's staff would not do anything to substantially change the condition of the house as TMH left it. That could be interpreted as being accomplices, just as big a no-no for defence lawyers as it is for anyone else.

My guess would be that they wanted to document the condition the house was left in and also to prevent any theft or vandalism while the house was empty. That address is internationally known now and I am one of the people who believe that all of the adult parties (and probably some of the juvenile ones) to this case are getting some pretty scary threats.

I wouldn't tell a soul but LE where I was staying. It is obvious that there are those who believe they have the right to know her every move, even if she is as free a citizen as they are and I'm sure those who are hounding her would object to someone invading their life in a similar manner.

Kaine is probably the best source to know what's the best pressure cooker for Teri.

For me, it would be something involving my children. For example, I get really upset if DH lets them play outside without sunblock (they are both very fair). Or I get upset if they eat certain foods. So, the media could show my children walking around a sunny park eating hamburgers and french fries and it would be a pressure cooker FOR ME. Kaine would know what will apply pressure to TMH.

And should he do so, I hope her divorce attorney uses it as proof that the child is being manipulated as a weapon to strike against her mother. I would further hope her divorce attorney explains that, while Terri had at first assumed their daughter would be safer with her father, based upon the death threats she's received, she now realizes that her soon to be ex-husband has other motives and the detrimental alienation tactics he's using will only serve to harm their small child's psyche, and that they are now going to challenge the custody of baby K.

Because using a child to do anything like this is unconscionable.
